If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Choosing Melvin with Covenant Pictures was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, Melvin was incredibly professional, kind, and easy to work with. His pricing was very affordable, especially for the quality of service he provides, and his flexible payment options made planning and budgeting for our wedding so much less stressful. On our wedding day, he completely exceeded every expectation. He wasn't just our photographer--he became such an important part of the day. He made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, kept things running smoothly, and captured every special moment without ever making anything feel forced. The biggest compliment we can give is that our guests couldn't stop talking about him! Throughout the entire evening, people came up to us to tell us how amazing Melvin was--how friendly, professional, personable, and hardworking he was. He brought such a positive energy that truly added to the atmosphere of our wedding. He didn't just document our day; he helped make it the incredible experience it was. If you're looking for a photographer who is talented, affordable, offers flexible payment options, genuinely cares about his couples, and goes above and beyond, we cannot recommend Melvin and Covenant Pictures enough. We are so thankful we chose him and will recommend him to everyone we know. Thank you, Melvin, for helping make one of the best days of our lives absolutely unforgettable! read more

We had a fantastic experience working with Melvin. He took great photos of us in three different areas--New York City for our engagement photos; Clarks Summit near Scranton for our wedding; and Paris, as our honeymoon happened to overlap with when he was shooting a wedding there. For each of these shoots, Melvin was prompt and clear with communication, making coordinating something that could be logistically challenging quite easy. We were also impressed with his flexibility as a photographer. For instance, he had experience shooting at Grand Central Terminal in NYC and at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and knew just where to go to get some amazing shots. And while he hadn't been to Clarks Summit or Astoria, Queens, previously, he was able to quickly appraise the situation and identify some great locations and poses for photos. In Astoria Park, he had us go out onto some rocks that jutted into the water while he went to line up a shot, and he came through with one of our favorite photos despite him having ended up splashed by the waves! Melvin is a delight to work with and we can't recommend him enough. read more

Our wedding was a destination wedding. It implied a bit more complexity in regards to how would Melvin get there and where would he stay. Unfortunately there were airline changes which I couldn't do anything about. Melvin was the most understanding and flexible person. No issues whatsoever. An important quality about Melvin is that he never stresses about anything even if he is worried about certain details. He remains calm which is critical in wedding situations where there is a lot of tension. Overall just a great, trustworthy, reliable photographer. The work he does is extremely high quality. I think his pictures are very classy and timeless. He puts so much effort in to getting every moment. He photographed things we didn't even think about. Another key thing is that he has great ideas. He tells you where to stand and how to pose and is also open to your suggestions. His candid photographs are awesome too. He is open to spontaneity, so sessions are fun, never dull. Love his work. Highly recommended. read more

We seriously cannot say enough good things about our photographer- Melvin!! From the very beginning, he has been easy to work and fun to be around. He's personable, super knowledgeable, and made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. Neither of us really knew what we were doing lol, but he helped us with poses, gave us direction the entire time. He's also extremely efficient without ever making the experience feel rushed. And for the quality of his work, he is SO affordable. We literally had our engagement pictures back in less than 24 hours, which is insane, and we absolutely love how they turned out!! You can tell he really knows what he's doing and actually cares about making sure you love your photos and have a good experience while taking them. 10/10 experience all around, and we're even more excited to have him there for our wedding day!! Posting a few UNEDITED ones, to show how good he is without any edits. read more

Covenant Pictures was an amazing choice for our wedding photography. From the very start, Melvin and his team were professional, thorough, and provided great suggestions to help capture our vision. The quality of their work was truly amazing - Melvin really took the time to understand what we wanted and delivered beyond our expectations. He captured all of our special moments without being intrusive, and it was like having a movie director on hand. The save-the-date shoot in San Antonio was a highlight, with Melvin making us feel so comfortable and the final photos looking like something out of a magazine. And the wedding videos - the teaser, trailer, and full documentary - were all phenomenal. We are so grateful to Covenant Pictures for helping make our wedding day so memorable. read more

I had the pleasure of hiring Melvin to be our wedding photographer when he was first starting out, and he was everything we were hoping for. Even though we'd hired him at a discount through a wedding boutique, he refused to take other customers who offered him full payment to abandon us on our wedding day. At the time, we couldn't afford to pay him more, so his reliability and genuine respect for his customers made a big impression on us. The photos we got at the end we're truly beautiful. I'm a terrible photo taker, so I was worried about how it would turn out, but Melvin gave clear and professional directions and we ended up with spectacular albums. He went above and beyond for us in a lot of ways and we still talk him up as the best decision we made for our wedding. read more
