There is a play area that is wonderful - separate from the large pool. It has a slide for littles, a gradual walk in with splash fountains, and then you round the corner and can walk in a waist-deep pool (or do very short laps) - there can be a basketball hoop there. There's also a sort of lazy river with benches that you can walk around. This, too, has open hours that you can pay a small fee to use. The Aquatic Center is a fantastic community resource!

Since it's a public park I knew it would be open, so my boyfriend and I hopped in the car and drove over. There were a few people doing some football drills on the field and some kids playing with bubbles. There's plenty of street parking nearby. There are restroom facilities but I didn't check to see if they were open. I left my sweatshirt and water bottle on the bleachers and felt comfortable doing that since there weren't many people around. The track was nicely maintained with only two small areas that needed to be patched. This park also has a playground and a pool! I've never been to the pool but would like to check it out someday - I've always wanted to go down the water slide.
