In fact, it's the only coffee she'll buy for our espresso machine at home, which says a lot. Every time we stop in, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they care about the people who come through the door, not just the coffee they're serving. The shop itself is always clean, comfortable, and has a really nice atmosphere, which makes it a great place to grab a drink and relax for a few minutes. The quality of their coffee is consistently excellent. Whether we're grabbing a drink to go or picking up grounds for home, it never disappoints. If you're someone who likes supporting local coffee shops and appreciates great coffee made by great people, I definitely recommend giving Olympic Crest a try. We've been happy customers for years and will keep coming back.

I ordered a Black Sesame Latte off their seasonal menu and asked for it half sweet. The latte has a nice bold coffee flavor and was slightly sweet from the syrup. You can faintly taste the black sesame as well but the particles quickly sink to the bottom. Cute coffee shop with friendly workers and ample space to sit and chat with friends or do a bit of studying.

(*shrug* Not a huge deal.) Have also tried scones and avocado toast. Now.. to be brutally honest.. I get Gen X annoyed at avocado toast on a menu. Like.. They are so knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. They give great suggestions, the option to taste the brews really makes a difference. The first time I came here I was looking for something specific (a dark oily roast similar to a Cuban roast/blend). The staff there that day gave some suggestions but stated there was a staff member from Florida who would likely know better. When I came back in a couple weeks later with a friend, not only did the girl remember me, she had actually asked that other staff member and gave me their recommendation! I was blown away by the service. I've gotten good tea here as well as coffee and will definitely be back! I was still working my way through their original suggestions and so I kept that in mind and stopped by a third time for the suggestion- they were out but called over the the cafe around the corner to see if they had it available pre-packed and they did. I tried the Sumatra; a delicious dark roast and the Ethiopia blend; mild roast with low acidity (my personal favorite). I bought a bag of each plus got a bag of the Aviator blend to try. My father-in-law usually ships coffee (from Portland) to my husband because he's SO picky about coffee, so I was prepared for him to turn his nose up at this coffee too. Surprise-surprise...he really liked Rad Roasting's Ethiopia blend. This is now our monthly coffee provider!
