Overall, I like the location. The only thing I did not like was the fact that you had to pay for breakfast and you couldn't order breakfast until 6 AM, my TV did not work the whole time during my stay and neither did the Internet, but I like the location because close to lots of places to go eat close to gas stations and not as busy as the Midland hotels are, the staff was friendly. The Courtyard has become my home away from home after staying here for a few weeks. The positive is that the location is within walking distance to nice restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel is a bistro that doesn't have a large menu and also is reheated items. For breakfast it isn't bad but dinner is very limited. They do have a whole bar so maybe that makes up for the food. The rooms are comfortable and kept very clean. In general, the property is always in good repair. The only negative is that they seem to run out of items all the time. They have run out of food items, coffee lids, wine, etc. They do need to get a better handle on how they order supplies. The personnel is extremely sweet and they work their tails off. When you leave in the morning and come back at night many are working long shifts. A few times I noticed the team falling behind while the manager watched; however, lately he has been stepping up and trying to help vs. just watching them. One knock on this property are the prices they charge during peak days. Rooms can run $300+ a night but that is probably the norm for the Permian basin. Also, I watched two employees slip and fall outside the kitchen because there was a plumbing issue that wasn't properly addressed. However, the rooms are comfortable and the staff is exceptionally sweet. If you are going to be in the Permian Basin this is a great facility. read more

The air condition unit inside the room is unbearably loud. It should not keep you awake all night. I thought it was just my room but my guest, that stayed in a totally different room, had the exact same experience...A LOUD AIR CONDITION UNIT. Be very aware of this facility, especially when booking through a third party. They will not mention upfront there is a pet fee at check but charge on the back end. My room had no shampoo , TP, Tissue paper because of Covid and no soap but charged me a ridiculous rate. GM is very very unprofessional and customer service is not something he considers. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. After booking room blocks for more than 6 years with this particular Courtyard and The Residence Inn next door, Anthony had a meltdown when I let him know that the Group Sales associate approved to extend the group rate and add more rooms to our block. He was offended that JJ, the Sales Associate, would offer the extension and additional rooms at "his hotel when he's the General Manager" (his exact words). After telling him the hierarchy at the hotel is not my concern, he proceeds to say that if I want the group rate, it should be my concern. Anthony seems VERY insecure of his position at the hotel. His point of telling me, 3 times, that he is the General Manager and that the Sales Group works for him/under him dripped in insecurity and unprofessionalism. He finished the conversation by telling me the group block and rates we are reserving (6+ years with about 15/20 rooms each year) will not hurt his business. Best of luck to Anthony. I don't see him as an asset to the Marriott Brand. General Manager position in the hospitality industry should be held by an individual who is courteous and confident in the brand he is representing. Incompetent and Inept - Never have I stayed at any Marriott hotel that was staffed with such an underwhelming crew and management. My family and I decided to give the Bistro a try for dinner since it was convenient and they were advertising happy hour Flatbreads as the special, but this is where the pros ended. The Bistro opened 15 minutes late with a single employee who spent the next hour making food items one at a time despite ordering as a family. And when I tried to order just a plain cheese quesadilla, and not the full up chicken, bacon, and avocado, their response was I will still have to charge you the full price. REALLY - $10 for a tortilla with an ounce of cheese! I will give you the receptionist did attempt to help at the register but was of limited utility due to the fact that she was not trained on the POS system. After all of this I decided to speak to the manager, who despite the back-ups at the Bistro, was sitting comfortably in his office doing who knows what. To the question of why are Flatbreads the special if the Bistro doesn't have the ingredients to make them, he responded "I can't help it if the distributor didn't bring our supplies." To this I would say FALSE. Making sure you don't run out of supplies is exactly the type of thing a manager is suppose to ensure doesn't happen. Then to the long waits at the Bistro his response was, "I can't help it if the weather has made everyone want to eat at the Bistro." FALSE - A good manager would recognize the inclement weather and either go assist at the Bistro or shuffle his available staff to do so. Then when I mentioned the inflexibility of the POS to sell a simple cheese quesadilla, rather then say " I will take that feedback back to the owner/Marriott/etc, his response was "We are bound by Marriott and there is nothing to be done about it." Then to close the conversation and a snide tone he exclaimed "Look, If you want the quesadilla for free I'll do that." Wow, talk about missing the point. Does this guy really think that after spending $80 at the Bistro on food and drinks for my family this is all about a cheese quesadilla. This place is in dire need of some new leadership! read more

My only complaint would be no breakfast, though there is a bistro downstairs where you can purchase food. The bed was very comfy and the room super clean. The air conditioning, shower, etc all worked perfectly and the staff was very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again! read more

Sara, the GM, provides over-the-top customer service. You don't usually find this kind of customer service around here with labor so scarce right now, but Sara sets the bar high. We had several VIP guests staying here and she was very accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure they were taken care of. She also volunteered to personally move my colleague's things to another room when he had to switch rooms unexpectedly. I wouldn't hesitate to book any events or VIP stays here at all. Brand new facility in Odessa! Fantastic accommodations in the very competitive gas and oil country. Ridiculously high price but so is everything else in the area. Book in advance. From the funky hipster groove in the lobby and bistro area, to the giant touch-screen GoBoard in the lobby, to brand new fitness equipment to the cozy out door lounge I was impressed! And that's before I got up to my room. Great layout to the room. Everything I need for corporate travel. Not to forget the friendly staff - I will be back. read more
