The house has been restored immaculately. A feeling of warmth and coziness envelopes you as soon as you walk in. Our host, communicated wonderfully prior to our stay and greeted us upon arrival. We were handed a parking permit for our vehicle and shown the common areas of the house. We were then brought up to our room, which was beautiful and had everything we needed. Our host made sure we were settled in and gave us his cell number in case we needed anything. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep! The highlight for us was breakfast! Hard boiled eggs, cooked to perfection, homemade breakfast cookies, out of the oven, homemade granola, apricot jam, cereal, toast, coffee, orange & Grape fruit juice, cheeses. James, our host always made sure we had everything we needed. The location of the Inn was perfect, surrounded by cafés and shops and a short walking distance to downtown and convention centre. If you're in St John's and looking for a change from hotels, I would highly recommend At Wits Inn! I know we won't stay anywhere else during our next trips to St John's

My only major complaint was the gym (which is important to me when travelling). It was really sparse, and the equipment (two treadmills, an elliptical and a bike) was old. One of the two treadmills was broken, the other didn't provide an accurate belt speed. I ended up working out at Good Life nearby.

After staying in various hotels across the province, it's nice to have a place in a large city (by their standards) where I can walk outside and have multiple choices for restaurants and bars. My room was large and brightly lit. Clean as well. Lots of TV channel options, and the TVs themselves were of excellent quality. A/C was a bit loud initially, but I eventually acclimated to it. Overall no complaints at all with the hotel.

Check-in was easy through their app - I was able to check in before I even got to the hotel, so all I had to do was stop by the front desk and pick up my keys. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in.
