The couple was able to buy out the entire place for just the wedding goers and the rooms themselves were very nice. The views are incredible and the fact there are animals is a fun addition. The wedding itself was beautiful, and the food was also great! The only downside of the location is that they do not have air conditioning, but that is normal for the area and they don't usually need it.

It was originally built by a doctor and was converted to an inn about five years ago. It sits on 100 acres on the west shore of the Avalon Peninsula. It has a farm/petting zoo with sheep, horses and goats. I was charmed by the goats. In summertime and autumn the grounds are spectacular. It is set up as a perfect venue for weddings and has a small spa. There are no TVs in the rooms or a common room. It's not luxurious, but has a simple charm. Dinner was disappointing. Everything was a bit too sweet and not very complicated in terms of seasoning. Also , it was described as a five course dinner, but one course was an amuse and the other a small scoop of sorbet palate cleanser between the salad and main course. I hope the cuisine is a work in progress. The staff was very nice and eager to please.

From shallow to deep or slow moving to fast - this is a lovely glimpse into something we rarely get to see, except in our imaginations, dreams, or occassionally on a summer swim. The inside of the centre houses a large interpretation centre with wonderful displays which talk about the river ecosystem and environs as well as other local projects. We started our morning with a tour of the truly excellent Interpretation Centre, which is the perfect size to get a great overview without being overwhelmed. The information is presented in a very accessible way, and there are plenty of things to touch and buttons to push to keep children engaged. We were also provided with some additional information by a Manuels River facilitator, Madison, who was very knowledgeable and great with our kids. She also provided us with a map and directions to set us up for our hike. The trails are well marked and well groomed and perfect for families - we even brought our stroller along. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. But the highlight for me was searching for trilobite fossils in the shale beds - and actually finding (a small) one! Very unique experience, and my dinosaur-obsessed kids loved every moment.

Techs running presentations were complaining about the main hall being an echo chamber, leading to subdued volume levels for the first full day of the conference. The conference centre was sufficiently clean, but the entire building was not maintained through the conference. A stench was present for the entire conference at one of the key connection points to the host hotel, so you got to get a whiff of it a number of times through the duration. Catering was underwhelming. The majority of meals were handheld, extras were sparse, and the only plated meal of significance was the final one of the conference. If you can get better food several steps from the conference hall, you need to do a better job. Overall the conference was a good experience. However, the drawbacks of the building were apparent. I hope future conferences have this in mind.

If u ask me this is unacceptable for a prestigious country club like golf course. I expected more as I was given at this course and the fact that I broke my club along with it is insane!

Took management 2 days after check out to call me back regarding my complaint. Manager was reluctant to give any compensation as complaint was made in the morning verses 10pm at night when the pool closed. I'm a Gold Level member of Marriott. This is the worst treatment I've ever had at a Marriott property in 20+ years of stays. Don't stay at this hotel!

Check-in was easy through their app - I was able to check in before I even got to the hotel, so all I had to do was stop by the front desk and pick up my keys. The woman working the front desk that day - Sherry-Lynn - was amazing and one of the friendliest people I have ever met. She made a point of asking how my day had gone whenever I returned to the hotel after a day out in the city. Such a sweetheart! The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. I made a couple of requests for the room through their app - extra pillows, that kind of thing - and they were followed to a T. I would recommend the Fairfield to anyone, and I will definitely be staying there again when I find myself planning another trip to the city!

It was conveniently about a 15 minute walk from the cruise ship dock.  Upon entering the Visitors center we were quickly greeted by a friendly staff member. They were able to quickly provide us with alot of useful information. They pointed out that some parts of the museum were free, and there was like 4 rooms that required a ticket. We decided to not get a ticket because we were on a limited time schedule. This is a must stop museum, you could spend hrs just admiring all the history and scenery inside and out. Make sure you go up to the observation decks as well. They do have conference rooms and a cafeteria. I will add more info later... @glampedlife
