From the second you walk in you are greeted and made to feel welcome. The experience was great my room was clean and bed made daily. I will return and stay here. One particular part of the stay changed my life was meeting the GORGEOUS Miss Betty the breakfast attendant. She welcomes you and offers you a freshly made cup of coffee and a wonderful smile. She reminds me of Nichelle Nichols aka Uhura from the show Star Trek. Before you leave she ensures you are full and have everything you need. It's like having a loving grandmother away from home. The options of their breakfast consisted of hot cereal, cold cereal hot biscuits, gravy and two sausage options pork and turkey. Being a non pork eater to see something I could eat made my day. The lobby is small and next to the front desk is a Suite Shop where drinks, snacks, and toiletries are available for purchase. I ended up buying from there because my flight got in too late and most places were already closed (ramen bowl + beef/cheese stick and it felt like college days all over again). Pro Tips: - On the corner of the front desk, they typically leave out complimentary cookies (chocolate chip, M&Ms, & peanut butter) and water bottles. I stocked up on water and that saved me from having to buy it at a grocery store! Thank you! And I may have stocked up on a few cookies... - As you walk out the door, there are brown lunch bags they leave for guests to pick up, filled with breakfast stuff (e.g., multigrain bar, bagel with peanut butter, an apple, and bottled water). It's these little details that I appreciated so much about this hotel. - Go to Taco Mama next door and try their food! I loved their steak quesadilla and barbacoa tacos. Service there is exceptional as well. You can even get your alcohol to go (certain hours of the day) and drink it within the designated boundaries. It's this whole thing in Huntsville - look up purple cup law. - The location is in a cute little town with other restaurants/bars also walking distance. - No haunted ghost vibes at this hotel. Yes, I know what you're thinking - I am crazy. THE ROOM. I stayed in room 422 and it was unusually expansive. I honestly think they could've pushed out the bathroom space and there would still be plenty of room left. Huge windows spanned across the wall and overlooked a grassy area and parking lot. The queen-sized beds were comfortable with clean, soft linen. And yes folks, the rest of the room was also clean as can be. THE PARKING. Parking is free. Go for one of the front spots near the entrance. They will even allow you to park in the spots that say "Diamond." If there aren't any open spots, drive further down to their bigger parking lot. THE RESERVATION. I made reservations through the Hilton Honors app. You can choose the room you want through the app as well. THE RETURN. 100% I would stay here again. I didn't mention this earlier, but the hotel staff are so helpful and friendly. It made my experience that much more memorable.

It also a "kickback" in the afternoon which is food such as taco meat and nacho chips, chicken breast, and white, fettuccine sauce, barbecue sliders and mac & cheese.. It was good food in the evenings. They also provided three alcoholic beverages from their list per day and popcorn in the evening along with soda. This was all included with our stay. l've never stayed at a Drury hotel before, but I think I'm going to search for them in my future travels! The shower water pressure was very weak. The room door was difficult to open and had to be pulled firmly to fully latch when closing. While walking through the halls, I noticed several room doors that appeared closed but could have easily been pushed open because they had not latched properly. There were also a few smaller issues. The coffee cup lids did not fit properly, and the breakfast buffet was mediocre, especially for the $18 price. I even noticed a dirty plate mixed in with the stack of clean plates. On the positive side, a regular cup of coffee from the café was reasonably priced at $3.22. While the room was generally clean, I did find a hair and a makeup stain on one of the pillows. Overall, the stay was decent thanks to the friendly staff and comfortable bed, but the property did not quite live up to the expectations set by the photos and amenities.

Eating....the Placery is NOT open despite what the app says. No food besides breakfast available. Breakfast was pretty sad as well with cold unless you managed to get food as soon as it came out. The coffee was much better than the room. All in all this stay has got me realizing that all Hyatt Places are not created equal.

A few good things about this Red Roof: The room was clean, the towels were very nice and the water pressure was outstanding. A few not so good things: poor wifi signal, slippery walkways. One very bad thing: Although this property was nearly empty, a large group was placed surrounding my room- above and to the sides. These individuals evidently don't get out in public much and aren't sure how to act once they do get out. Between the stomping and throwing objects around, the screaming, the music on full blast, the children running a muck and the extremely vulgar, obscene and racist language being used I made contact with the motel staff. I was told it would get taken care of, it wasn't. The evening progressed and they became more out of control. My next call went unanswered and by midnight I'd had enough and was a bit frightened (a woman travelling alone should not be made to feel this way). I left at 1am, feeling safer driving home for 6 hours with no sleep than staying another minute in this environment.
