On one of our "joy ride" outings with Mom, we drove around The Vision in SE Huntsville, just off of Hobbs Island Road. It is a Christian camp and retreat center and offers overnight accommodations. Meeting spaces and activities including a zipline tour, high and low ropes course, archery, tomahawk throwing, swimming, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and more. The Lodge includes a banquet hall with meeting space for 100, kitchen access, game room with ping-pong, pool table, air hockey, TV with Wii, and also has a movie theater. The lake was sizeable and is stocked with, at least, catfish. The swimming pool looked clean and inviting! The Vision was closed the day we drove around, and we didn't get to see inside any of the facilities. It's anything but rustic based on the photos on their website. I love their motto "get away - get near." If I weren't deathly afraid of heights I would certainly "zip" here!

I never even heard a call back from some other places. The pricing offered was VERY reasonable. I ended up renting it by the hour. It has both indoor and outdoor spaces with PLENTY of seating. I loved that the outdoor has speakers hooked up that match indoor sound. There were two bathrooms that were very clean. Only downside is limited parking. We missed the market bell ring because we got there around 7:30. Back to the Belle. It's a nice event space! Nice shiny concrete floors, I think it had a stage and a large projection screen was set up in a corner. There is outdoor seating which was nice on this lovely evening and the landscaping is nice, too. It's on the western most side of Stovehouse which I had never explored before, and I didn't see any nearby parking. The bartender was nice, the wine was good and at a good price point, and the space itself was fresh, clean, and modern. Outside the immediate area of EB is not well lighted, and for some reason, the restrooms in the area [not in EB proper - still in Stovehouse] were locked {??}, so there's that. I should have asked the bartender if they had restrooms inside EB. Do try EB, they have some interesting events on their calendar, west coast swing, disco night, zombie prom, and age 21 and over entertainment such as Dave Anderson and Ben Luthy, both of which are free shows which is super nice!
