My first time staying here, I would have given a 4 but the second time a 2-3. I got upgraded the first time and the 1 bedrooms are in good condition meanwhile at least the king bedroom the second time had peeling wallpaper etc (shown in photos). Proximity to clemson is great. They have abar/bistro so that is nice. Staff generally was good except for second time where bistro staff quoted almost double for the glass of wine when I had been there less than a month before. The manager took off the extra so that was greatly appreciated. I will update for time three in the near future! read more

The check in process was simple and easy. The front desk ladies were funny, and enjoyable to talk to. The room was extremely clean. The AC worked well since we like to keep the room at 66 degrees to sleep. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Clemson! read more

In leu of Hurricane Ian, we are not in a position to travel tomorrow Sept 30 to Clemson for parents weekend. I booked the room many weeks ago and understand the no-cancelable rate policies of hotels. They are not designed to punish customers due to Acts of God including hurricanes. I am a business executive, frequent traveler, and a Platinum Elite Marriott customer. Given the circumstances, I phoned the hotel regarding cancelation (even of just one of the two nights). I was told "NO, and you'll need to speak to the GM. However he will to be available until Friday (our arrival day) and I wouldn't get your hopes up." There are NWS severe weather alerts for much of the state. I plan to escalate this with Marriott Corporate. read more

How do you rate a hotel that has no internet service and the woman at the front desk can't help you? She offered to give me the phone number of the Wi-Fi supplier and I could call and see if they can help. Meanwhile, there were three people in the lobby with the same issue. My Platinum Elite status meant nothing to her so I drove 2 miles away to the Hampton Inn where I my Diamond Status got me WiFi access and some free snacks. read more

This is a really really nice hotel. Really really nice. The rooms are nice sized. The bathroom was great. Nice little spot outside by the pool and firepit to enjoy the sun. The Bistro was great for breakfast and a snack. Pricey but still good quality food. I can only imagine how crowded it gets during football season. read more

My daughter got married in the area with over 1/2 of attendees staying here as we are all from out of state. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were so helpful and genuinely kind. I'd give this place 5 stars if the beds weren't so soft. They just felt like cheap foam. The place was clean, comfortable despite the bed and staff was very helpful, professional, and friendly. The pool was comfortable and relaxing. Room refrigerator could have been bigger. It was only a small square refrigerator and not the taller ones we usually get in hotels. Wish they included breakfast at this price. read more

This place is pretty fancy and not too expensive outside of football season. It's clean and up to date furniture. It even has a Starbucks in the lobby. While it's not my favorite coffee ( yes, I'm a coffee snob) I'll tolerate it. Decent breakfast in the morning too. read more

It's not often that I can say I'm impressed with a hotel that doesn't have a bellman and fancy music playing in the lobby, but you got me, Courtyard! I recently stayed here during a business trip. The person at the front desk was great and I was on my way to the room after a few minutes from arrival. When I came back down, there was a popcorn machine with fresh, free popcorn in the lobby. That ALONE is a reason I would stay here again. The rooms are really nice. You can tell they have been renovated recently. Rooms were clean, modern and spacious. I stayed on the sixth floor a few doors down from the elevator and luckily it was quiet!!! The lobby has a "food for purchase" counter. Great variety and they do espresso drinks. They also have a bar and a really nice seating area. Great if you're traveling alone or with a group and just want to hang out to watch they game in TV. I would certainly recommend this place for business travelers. Food, alcohol and free Wifi all located in a reasonably priced hotel. Next time I'm in Clemson, I'm staying at this Courtyard! read more

Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are very nice. WiFi works well. Very nice restaurant. Hotel by itself would have received 5 stars. But as seems to be the trend anymore, the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door seems to have become a magnet for wayward housekeepers. Translated, "Do Not Disturb" must mean "Please stand outside my door knocking and yelling 'Ousekeeeeeping!'" Why can't housekeepers just leave me alone!?!? So unprofessional and annoying! read more

Great overall location. Welcoming lobby with food and drink service through the day. Also assorted eating choices within walking distance out the front door. If visiting college you won't be disappointed with location or accommodations. read more

Very unique place and has great potential.... Just need to make some changes on the food side... Read the posts about the chicken wings so we went to investigate.... They were cooked right, BUT.............. Omg they were SO OVERLY COVERED IN DRY RUB...... Too much and ruined the whole wing experience... WAY over done..... Experienced wing eaters U know when tooooooo much is toooo much... Fries were so plain and undercooked and no flavor... Need to improve that too... Sad to say we won't be back... read more

Very nice rooms, housekeeping comes every single day, DISCOUNTED Starbucks downstairs in their Bistro-although that has limited hours (6-9:30am and 5-10pm I believe). Very friendly and helpful staff! One of the best Courtyards I've stayed at, even though I hate Clemson and am staying here because I have to and my man is working on a project for work here right now. It's just off Clemson's campus so it's close to everything! Free wifi, it's got a nice pool and outdoor area outback, mini fridge in the room, large shower, a washer and dryer downstairs if you need to do laundry. This is the only place I'd stay if I come up here again once his project is done. read more

I had made a reservation back in December (4 months ago) for three nights for my husband and I to attend our daughter's ring ceremony at Clemson which was paid in full. Five nights prior to our arrival I received a call stating the hotel had over sold and we didn't have a room. I was appalled as we are loyal Marriott members and loyal to this specific hotel during the last three years our daughters have been at Clemson. Despite requests to provide us any room type we have been forced to find another hotel with less than a weeks notice during family weekend for ring ceremony. I would not rely on this property any more and will choose Abernathy next visit and recommend anyone else reconsider u less they don't mind the entire weekend plans changed the last minute. read more

We stayed at this hotel while on a college visit for our daughter at Clemson. It took us a minute to find it, even with GPS, because the signage was not great. It was set a little back from the road. The room as biggish and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The family was disappointed that the pool was outside and not heated so not really usable. We also had to skip ordering breakfast at the bistro because the line was so long. I think they could use extra help with they know the hotel is going to be full. There were some comfortable sitting areas in the lobby we we enjoyed. read more

I stay here a lot for business and always impressed but last week blew me away. Service was excellent. I even left my glasses in my room after check out and housekeeping turned them in. There are cheaper options in the area, but I will continue to stay here. read more
