Absolutely our favorite hotel on this cross country roadtrip!…read more
The rooms are all like mini apartments with fully decked out kitchens, dishes, full size fridge, cooktop, microwave. It was SO convenient for a traveling family. The room was immaculately clean, as was the rest of the hotel. I appreciated seeing hand sanitizer dispensers in the elevators and by the breakfast space. No part of the hotel smelled like mold, which, in the eight hotels we've stayed in in the last two weeks, is a first time occurrence.
Laundry room downstairs ($1 in quarters to run, which is half of what we had to spend at our last hotel) was right next to the pool, which meant we could run our laundry while we let the kids swim. The pool was a really great size with floor to ceiling windows for light, complimentary towels, and non-slip tile around the pool deck which you would think is a no brainer but this was the only hotel we've stayed in so far that had it.
Downstairs they had 24/7 coffee, tea, and ice water available. We went by one night and they'd placed cookies out! There was a lovely outdoor seating area with a fire pit, market lights, and comfy seating. They also had board games out for use.
The complimentary breakfast was awesome-- waffles, oatmeal bar, boiled eggs, yogurt, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, bagels, toast, cereal, juice. They also had coloring pages/crayons out for the kids that they changed out daily. Just adorable touches. There's also a little convenient store downstairs where you can buy jars of pasta sauce and pasta, frozen meals, etc. in case you need something to cook. The WiFi was pretty decent as well so I was able to get some work done.
We appreciated the helpfulness and friendliness of the front desk staff-- they were helpful with things to do in the area and with lighting the fire pit when we wanted to spend time with new vacation, friends outside.
