Tastefully decorated little hotel in Courtown. As with most hostelries in Ireland, it's rare that you can buy wine by the glass. More often than not you will be given a quarter bottle. But don't let that mislead you, it doesn't always mean that wine won't be good. And in the case of the Courtown Hotel it's actually quite good.
I haven't stayed in the hotel. Just used the bar and my sister ordered food for here children.
The service was awful! Waiting staff walked up and down and ignored us constantly. We had to remind them we had food coming to us. When the food finally arrived it was ridiculously small and the sauce with the pasta was essentially just coloured water.
Don't expect great service and certainly don't go here for the food. A pleasant drink is all I would recommend this place for. read more
