I ordered the Poet Burger with Onion rings and my girlfriend got the American with fries. Both burgers were very delicious and hit the spot on what we wanted. The fries were crispy and the onion rings were fantastic. All items were well priced as well. The Burger Poet gets 5 stars because the service was very friendly and pleasant. They seemed to enjoy their jobs. It is the only restaurant I've ever been to and seen legos as wall decor and listened to Evanescence and Linkin Park while I eat. Which is something I very much enjoyed. We will be back!!

Contrary to what Google reviews say, they DO NOT offer gluten free buns, and their fries contain gluten not to mention being fried in a shared frier. The inside is cute. They have a table with chairs and bar type chairs They have a verity of older style candies. They have quite a bit of liquid flavoring you can buy. Lots of other stuff to look and shop. We just ran in for ice cream. I will need to come back to check out the merchandise. I was excited to try this place after seeing the cocktail menu online. The ambiance did not meet…read moreexpectations. The interior was a bit run down - it looks more like a dive bar than a high-end cocktail lounge. In and of itself, that would not have been a huge deal. But the service was also very slow. We waited about 15 minutes to place a cocktail order. They were out of the ingredients for my first choice and had to substitute something different in my second choice cocktail. Then, we waited an additional 15 minutes for our drinks. The bar was not particularly crowded, either. Lastly, an additional dollar was added to my tip amount. :( I would not return.

On the most recent visit I ordered ahead online and was able to pickup at the drive thru window. The staff was helpful and prompt. I got the chopped salad, Chicago dog, Chicago beef, and fries. For dessert you must get the Eclair cake. Everything was fresh and delicious. On previous visits I have gone inside and the dining room was clean. I chose to order ahead because it does take a bit for it to be ready since it is a made to order restaurant. Get your Chicago bites here!

Mustard and that is usually it. Fries were good for crinkle cut. The shake had a cherry flavor rather than the date flavor. I was not expecting that but I kind of liked it. Clean and bright was an issue. There were quite a few people behind the counter but not enough to clean tables. It was my first time at a Portillo's, so maybe their drive in is more of a focus. I do not live in a state that has a Portillo's but I would go back to one in Arizona for Spring Training.

Service was their usual fast counter ordering and food delivery to your table. The only exception was order accuracy. I ordered the Classic Grilled Chicken on the croissant with Potato Salad. I received the Grilled Chicken Club with the potato salad. No big deal except I don't believe there are enough ingredients to justify three slices of bread. Otherwise the sandwich was good. The potato salad was even better and not a huge portion either because it's supposed to be a side and that reduces the calories the way I like it. The restroom was very clean but the automatic paper towel dispenser was inoperative. However a roll of towels were available.

I really liked the crispy rice corndog with sugar. Not something I've ever had before but I wanted to try something more adventurous than a regular corn dog. I also got a regular American corn dog with ketchup and mustard as well. I was not a fan of the all-beef sausage filling so I would just choose the cheese filling next time. The kimchi seasoned fries were good too! My brother tried the injeolmi and potato dogs. He liked the injoelmi one better out of the two. He thought the potatoes were just too much on top of the thicker batter. The staff were friendly and answered all the questions we had. We got our order quickly and everything was nicely packaged. We were there on a Sunday around noon. Every table was full and there were several people that took to-go orders while we were waiting. We even ran into a coworker - so apparently everybody is into this place!

This is a situation I wished I would have just driven off and abandoned the mission. I was sorry…read moreI didn't go with my gut ( and to also save it ) regarding this one. It was a doomed and very disappointing experience from the moment I pulled into one of the drive in spots. The call buttons don't work on the menu board so you have to honk your horn to get their attention. That's highly obnoxious. They don't know where you are after you honk so they have to guess what car honked. It's ridiculous. OR, you get out of your car and walk to the opposite side of the building and order at a window. Everyone that worked there looked and acted burned out. The kitchen looked really run down and dirty. The health department might need to pay them a visit. When I got the food, it looked hastily slapped together and the only thing that was barely passable and edible was the cheeseburger and it definitely wasn't worth almost 8.00. It was a single patty. The fries were not hot and neither were the fried mushrooms or chicken nuggets. The fried mushrooms were notably and especially bad. They had super thick breading and a tiny mushroom inside. I'm sure they were bagged frozen, but the quality is beyond terrible. They don't offer any sauces unless you ask for them. The ice cream was average and it was overpriced too. It's really some of the worst food I've had in awhile and my digestive system wasn't thanking me afterward. What a waste of time and money. It was truly a regretful experience across the board.
