This is a great school that is worth every dollar. I really like the fact that I got the truck to myself everytime I go. You don't share your time with anyone else. It's also a great school because they work with you until you pass. I passed in 2 months, and enjoyed the comfortable environment. Willy is a great person that is really passionate about teaching you. He is a little more on the strict side, but it's to make you better. He prepares you to deal with those DMV Instructors that make one nervous. So if you can learn along side with willy, you can do it with ease when you hit the DMV. Pablo is also a great instructor. He is a person that makes the environment comfortable, and emphasizes all the good things you do. Whenever you accomplish a small victory, it will never go unnoticed with him. This kind of comforting is good for building confidence. They're both really great instructors, and I am glad I came to this school. Strongly recommend. He put all his effort to make sure i i pass that driving test. Very professional on his work. With a 53' trailer and 10 speed manual tractor and the teachers patient's made it easier to reach my goals. Other CDL schools only gives a limited time with out insurance, rather you passed it or not your time is limit. Here on courage the teacher will put all his effort to make sure you do reach your daily tasks. Real good experience when he takes you out for a drive with a loaded trailer, hauling that weight to the drop off destination, gives you an idea what to expect on your future career. Courage helped me go from knowing nothing about a semi truck, to giving me the COURAGE and knowledge I needed to know to properly operate one. This was my first experience operating a semi truck. After passing the written test, I went straight to this school and within 2 weeks, I was able to pass the automatic drivers test. Then, I returned to learn how to use a stick shift and within 1 month I passed my manual drivers test. The instructors Willie, Pablo and Margarito made learning to drive a semi truck easy and efficient. I want to thank them for being patient and easy going with me. For starters reasonable price not too high. They work with your schedule as well. For whatever reason if something were to come up and you called off they would be understanding. I never felt rushed , I was able to take my time and feel confident until I passed. The instructors were detailed and thorough. Pablo the instructor was great at explaining he would go over until you got it. Any questions you asked were answered. Margarito would give you knowledge over the road and would tell you the do's and dont's to prevent any accident. Overall I would recommend this school to others knowing that I was in it and was able to get my Cdl at just 19. read more

All the schools around me in Portland,OR were booked out till May (I was looking in March) and nobody offered manual, and if they did it was extremely expensive for some reason and not one on one. Called around and found Courage CDL; Willie is a very helpful and straightforward person to deal with, as is Pablo. The training is one on one, for your whole 2 hour slot. That alone should make this the first school you call. I flew down from Oregon same week to train. At the end of the day, they can't do your training for you.
