I stopped here with a friend after seeing their sign on the highway into town, which read, "Best Chicken Fried Steak in Texas." Inside, we were greeted by a very friendly staff and a warm, well-decorated interior. A brief glance at the menu was a mere formality as we both felt obligated to try the chicken fried steak. Upon ordering, we were greeted at our table by the owner, who smiled approvingly at our decision to get the house specialty, but was dismayed that neither of us had thought to order a side of their fabulous onion rings to go with it. Within a minute, one of the waitresses brought us a complementary order of onion rings, which were fabulous indeed.
