The rudest salesman on earth... doesn't need or want my business! See my review for background.

I had such a terrible experience with a salesman named Mike at this dealership that I decided to write an email about it. According to the dealership's website, a man named Chris is the sales manager, so I sent him the following: On Saturday my boyfriend and I visited your dealership and met with Mike. He spent about 5 minutes with us discussing the Equinox and Envoy on your lot, and then I test drove both. After my test drives, I made a phone call to my mechanic and decided to make an offer on the Equinox. When I came back into the dealership, Mike was in his office with other customers. I waited nearly 20 minutes on the sales floor without being approached by anyone (which was fine, I mention this only to illustrate my 'level of interest'). When he was done with the other customers, he came out of his office and proceeded to "negotiate" with me on the sales floor. Apparently I was not important enough to be provided the courtesy of sitting in his office. I asked him to tell me more about the Equinox. He replied, and I quote, "I don't know what else I could tell you, I told you everything I know." I was beginning to get frustrated, but decided to make an offer for $8,000; the list price was around $8,900. Mike replied "No way. I really need to get it off the lot. I can't drop the price at all. The price was just reduced. I could maybe throw in a full tank of gas." I said that wouldn't work for me, thank you, and left. (Mike calls this "wiff waffling.") Due to my desire to just get my car shopping over with, and against my better judgement, I called him back a few hours later (just after 4 pm) and asked if I could get the price down to $8,000 if I traded in my 2000 Chevrolet Impala. He said "probably." I was prepared to drive back to do the deal, but he said it was too late in the evening and there was no time to get the deal done. I was disappointed but understood. We made an appointment for 7 pm Monday (today) and he promised to pull the car off the lot in the meantime. This morning, I had the following 'conversation' with him via text message: [screenshots attached, text below] Salesman: I have 2 other people calling on the Equinox that want to come look at it. Before I tell them to save their time, are you certain you want the Equinox? Still around 6-6:30? Me: Actually our appointment was made for 7pm, as I told you I work all day and will be driving from Middleton. But it seems you really don't care about getting my business, so I'll find a car elsewhere. Salesman: Oh my word. Sorry for being 30minutes off. Not sure how you gathered that from the message when I said I was "making sure you wanted it, so I could tell other people to save their time". Guess I'm not allowed to confirm appointments, and interest level. You were wiff waffling while at the dealership and walked, then only said you'd try and be there Monday after we couldn't stay late Saturday at a moments notice. It's called confirmation. But that's fine, you can start over somewhere else. I don't need or want your business. Business I was coming in on my day off to help you with. But yes, I wanted nothing to do with you or your deal. All the best. [my email, continued] After this, I'll never buy a car from your dealership, nor will anyone else who hears about this (which I will make sure is absolutely everyone I've ever met), but I suppose that doesn't matter since according to Mike my business is not needed or wanted. THREE DAYS LATER, I get this response from the manager: I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you had at our store. My owners and I have dealt with the issues with the Salesman. Without you taking the time to email me, we may have never heard about your experience. I want to thank you for taking the time to email me, and once again apologize for the way you were treated. Sincerely, Yes. It was signed Sincerely, blank. So... someone apologizes, a "Salesman" was dealt with (who and how, I wonder?), and thank goodness I spent all this TIME writing him about it.

We came into the dealership knowing exactly what we wanted. We were assisted and weren't hassled. We took the truck for a test drive and it was everything we wanted. We were ready to purchase on the spot and were taken care of right away. Met the owner as well which was a very nice touch. We could tell our business mattered, unlike most dealerships and appreciated that. We have bought a lot of vehicles and this purchase was by far the easiest, quickest and most honest experience we've ever had. We will definitely recommend their services!!
