This may be due to NY law but the beer / wine offerings were different from other bj's I've been in. I like that there is some diversity in products even compared to the BJs locations in the Queens/Long Island area. My experience here has been good 9/10 times. The only time it hasn't been good was when a store manager asked an associate to watch me check out. It was really uncomfortable and unnecessary since it wasn't to assist us or anything. Nobody else had to be watched like children. What a way to ruin people's day.

The veterinarians are very thorough in their exams, clear in their explanations, patient with patients' questions, and overall seem truly to care about the animals they see. There is no drama, no talking you into unnecessary treatments. Their prices are average for the area, and they really try to work a treatment plan to accommodate limited finances. They used to offer payment plans, but the majority of people on them took advantage of it, so that had to end. They understand most people are having a difficult time because of the economy, but they have expenses, too. I know my animals will get great care here, and I am grateful to have found them after some absolutely terrible experiences elsewhere (see my other reviews).

The vet we saw, I won't name anyone, said she would give her a dewormer and clean her eyes off for us. She took her in the back since the faucet in the room didn't get warm enough, and before she took her back she told me she would give her a dewormer and clean her off. I said that was fine since I was trusting. Fast forward a couple days after the appointment. We look over the invoice again and the dewormer was not on the invoice. So we called and asked if they could tell us if they gave a dewormer to her. They told us they had to check, she then came back and said that there were no notes of a dewormer shot. It doesn't seem like a huge deal in the moment. Especially since they gave us antibiotics for her infection. But with a young kitten like ours, she is in a very vulnerable state and not deworming her could kill her. You could imagine my frustration when the vet also told me she would do it, and I didn't even have to ask for one. Thankfully we are being seen at our primary vet on Monday, and receive the proper care.

Stuff you usually have to drive to Albany to find, or Amazon but the shipping makes that too expensive. They also usually have bulk stuff in piles, like compost, mulch, sand, etc so if you have your own way to haul it you can pick up a lot for cheap.
