Friendly dining pub, somewhat stuck in the 80s the menu is very meaty, and most things come with fried stuff. The overwhelming smell from the kitchen was of chip fat. A surf and turf came with somewhat chewy rump steak and some (Iceland ?) deep fried scampi; there is the option on the evening menu to go large on many things e.g. upgrade from a 4oz to and 8oz steak. A long dessert menu, reasonably priced, with an interesting number of items marked as luxury e.g. a luxury mango and coconut cheesecake. In sum, not bad, but not great either reasonable value for money, and as mentioned, service is attentive and with a smile. read more
