I first came across CountryCorn maybe a year ago, in Parramatta Westfield, and lo, what an eye-opener it was!
You know that feeling you get, when you're not *really* hungry, but you just want to munch on something? I get that often.
And being health-conscious, I get pretty annoyed that virtually the only things available to buy in small packages that taste good are things that are bad for you. Jujubes, or marshmallows, or chips, or popcorn, or crackers... so I often go without.
Imagine my unbridled joy when I was offered corn - a healthy AND tasty snack!
I know, it doesn't sound like the coolest thing ever. "Let's go get some corn!" isn't a phrase that's likely to win you many cool-points, if you're running low.
But I swear to Darwin, it's amazing. And they come in a variety of.. varieties.
You can get plain butter and salt, you can get butter, salt and pepper, you can get Indian masala (which is by far the best, but is also really spicy, so tread carefully), I'm pretty sure you can get salt and garlic, too.
You might not think it at first, but fresh corn tastes *really freakin' good*. A small cup only costs around $3, so give it a try. read more
