My property manager recommend Andrew Johnson and he was very responsible. I didn't like the idea of giving the adjuster estimates to the companies but this one did not go much over the estimate. I found them to be responsive and they never kept me waiting around like the other company did. Andrew's presentation was brief and he understood what I needed done. He was also nice enough to mention the military rebate and I appreciate this company's support of serving members. It was also pleasant dealing with the office manager, Kendall Favor. She was nice and provided the documents.

I made the mistake of trusting United Contracting and Roofing LLC when they convinced me to file a…read morewind/hail damage claim on my roof. Instead of acting like professionals, they pushed me into filing an insurance claim that had NO CHANCE of getting approved--all because they wanted a quick sale. HOW THEY SCAMMED ME: 1 They ignored my request to check an engineering report before filing my claim. I had a 2022 engineering report that showed mechanical creasing and blistering, NOT storm damage. Any legitimate roofer would have known this meant the claim was invalid. I asked their rep, Luke, to review it. He ignored it and filed my claim anyway. 2 They completely failed to do their job. Even without my report, any trained roofing professional should have seen the damage was NOT storm-related. Luke either didn't know what he was looking at OR deliberately ignored what was right in front of him. A licensed Public Adjuster later told me there was NO CHANCE of winning this claim. 3 After they got my claim denied, they tried to sell me a new roof out-of-pocket. Once my claim was denied, their sales pitch changed: "Since the claim didn't work out, let's talk about financing a new roof." It was a setup from the start. They KNEW this claim wouldn't work but wanted a foot in the door to sell a roof. 4 Their manager ADMITTED they made a mistake, then LIED in their BBB response. I spoke to a manager for 20 minutes, who told me outright they should have handled my claim differently. When I filed a BBB complaint, they denied everything and tried to blame me. 5 Now my homeowner's insurance is at risk because of THEIR negligence. My Public Adjuster warned me that filing this bad claim could cause my insurance company to drop me. United Contracting and Roofing NEVER warned me about this risk. They don't care about your insurance, your home, or your financial security--just making a sale. BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY! They don't check anything before filing a claim. They push you into claims that will fail just to get a sale. They take ZERO responsibility when things go wrong. They will put your HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE at risk. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable contractor. Do NOT let United Contracting and Roofing LLC touch your insurance claim or your roof.

Buyer beware - these guys have had $thousands of my money for almost 7 months and have not…read morecompleted the project (acquisition and assembly of a prefab garage) ... More than 50% remains to be done - although it does have a roof at this point - no walls, no garage doors, etc. Something has happened there ..... two previous projects were VERY successful - and they were great to work with - knowledgeable - helpful and except for a few rough edges excellent results. I WOULD have recommended them for anything and have 5 or 6 other projects lined up to do.. However, on my 3rd outing with them - I paid up front (shame on me) since they were so good before --- and they got started ... I waited, and I waited, they finally got underway ... they will no longer return texts -- ALTHOUGH an answer or two along the way will suck you thinking they are listening and acting to further the project until they just "no show" you to death. They will not return calls - although you can sometimes catch them on the phone if you call them - and they will typically make promises they then do not keep. This 3rd project however has been bad since the inception in November of 2018 at which time I provided the funding - based on previous experiences and trust built there (shame on me). Continual excuses have now continued for 7 months (it's 5/28/2019 as I write this). Too much rain (was true for some time) months 1 through 3 or 4, waiting on material to arrive (that was around month 4 or 5), my truck broke down, a guy quit on me, I'll try to pick up the material tomorrow (didn't happen), someone will deliver Monday (didn't happen), etc, etc. I gave them some slack for months - with empathy and sympathy for the myriad of events that have befallen them. However, now - looks like I'm just a sucker. So now these guys have lost all credibility and trust. AND I'm stuck with a project I can't personally complete due to my age and health issues - so I have to find someone to help clean up their mess - and pay yet again. Maybe this will prevent the same happening to others.... Good luck.

Very surprised with our experience. In fact, super surprised. Massively surprised. These folks…read moreare really good, right???? We used Art of Stone for a $100,000 project. They did OK work on the landscaping and stone work. Concrete --- not so much. Four of the regular concrete pads had cracks within 72 hours. Suzanne agreed to replace them after discussion. The workers damaged two more pads while removing the four bad pads. (It's not exactly best practice to use a sledge hammer.) :-) So they replaced six --- good right? But they used a different formula. So the new pads do not match. We still have four major cracks in the decorative concrete. (Is it decorative if it's cracked? :-) The workers spilled regular cement along the entire length of the decorative concrete. About half of the spilled cement was removed but the differentiation was ruined. (Is it decorative if it's partially covered by regular cement? :-) We had concrete splatter across the entire back of house. Some as high as 12 feet up. Incurred damage of $3,000 per the Art of Stone insurance appraiser. The Art of Stone quote called for plastic sheeting to protect the house but, well.... And I should probably mention that we have some large chips out of concrete and that it is crumbling along the cut lines. We received an insurance settlement of $4K for the splatter and some additional issues. But..... Art of Stone is not covered for quality of materials or workmanship. So we're stuck. Bummer. Don't like it. People comment on the cracks but we can't afford to replace it. And Jason/Suzanne are gone. Weird. Bummer, etc......
