I had planned on stopping in Louisburg, KS for lunch, but I saw this restaurant from I35 in a travel center. I stopped and decided to give it a try. It's as what you expect, a restaurant at a travel plaza. The menu was extensive, business medium, and the service was decent. For lunch I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad, and a side of fried pickles. Both were pretty good! The pickles were breaded and fried well, unlike other places. The salad was great, and they gave you a lot of salad dressing on the side. My only complaint is that I was not given any silverware, and had to ask a different server for some. I would for sure go back though, as the burger looked amazing. read more

This is a great restaurant tied to a truck stop. Great food always! Breakfast all day. It's clean and neat with multiple restrooms for Roadies. Kayde and the other wait staff was right on us for drinks and menus. Breakfast for both of us. Corn beef hash , 2 eggs OE with A big pile of delicious hash browns and whole wheat toast cooked just right. The wife went with the Traditional. 4 big slices of bacon, two eggs scrambled, more golden hash browns and a large home made biscuit. Jellies and honey on the side and condiments too. Great eating affordable $$. With great service too. We couldn't eat it all so had great for home box. We drive from KC to eat here and will certainly come back. read more

We stopped here on our way from KC to OKC for gas and decided to have a meal. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and were sat just as quickly. I ordered like a traditional breakfast (pancakes, eggs and bacon) and my boyfriend ordered an omelette. Neither meal disappointed. There was a generous helping of everything. I took 2 of those delicious sweet pancakes to go. When I tell you they didn't even need syrup *chef's kiss*. The meal came with 4 strips of bacon and 2+ eggs. My boyfriend got a ham, bacon and sausage omelette with hash browns and it filled him up. That's saying a lot because he can eat. I didn't have time to take pictures, because a quick as it was brought out to the table, we dove in. I would 100% stop here again on the way headed south. Fact on Yelp I'm the one that created the page and yes there's a bunch of videos from back then me oinking away I forgot about that LOL. butl changed world we're in now Buffet is gone but the Country pride is still here. Open every day from 6:00 until 9:00 due to staffing issues but nice and clean inside I was served by Victoria young girl was very professional and did a great job and I sat down greeting me with the menu and asked me for a drink got diet Pepsi. Basically like all the other country prides now this is no longer an independently owned Beto junction travel plaza it's ta fully owned the Wendy's is still here but this is for the Country pride portion the huge restaurant back in the day when it was independent is still here most of it was coordinate off though it wasn't very busy. But I came and ready to eat and decide to have a chicken fried steak something I haven't had for quite some time and I want what to smash taters and did brown gravy on the whole shebang. Didn't want a salad or soup today so they said you could have ended the other side I got some corn. Corn was a little dry it was frozen kind but it didn't have a whole lot of flavor so I got some extra gravy and sauced it up. Because he is if I will be pretty much protocol the chicken fried steak was delicious the mashed potatoes were good so no complaints there. Prices have gone up a little bit it was 20 bucks without the tip now it's about 14.99 for a dinner at the Petro and ta truck stops and drinks are 329 but signof the times and that's the way it goes. All in all I'm not dropping down any stars I'm not adding any stars it was a little bit better than average so therefore the four stars remain and hopefully keep up the good work when I'm doing one of these runs from bowling Green Kentucky to emporia Kansas I definitely will still hit it up. read more

Fabulous fish fry! Crunchy crust with a nice flaky fish. Would definitely recommend this one.

Ordered breakfast with coffee Still waiting after 40 minutes. Finally got coffee after 20 minutes they said they had to brew when to fill with the little pitcher it was cold. Been over a hour waiting on food. Waitress finally brought part of the food Said was out of coffee. After nearly one and a half hour wait we told her we were leaving. We've made the trip between KC and Wichita hundreds of times. This has always been our half way stop. Its famous name was Beto Junction. Before TA bought the station and before Wendy's went in we absolutely loved this little diner. They served amazing home style food. And after a great meal we would take with us some of the best cinnamon rolls in the world. The cinnamon rolls are gigantic and melt in your mouth. Fast forward to 2019 and Wendy's gets more of the traffic. Travel America updated the gas station when they took over, but sitting in the middle of the gas station and Wendy's is the old Country Pride Restaurant. It's never been updated. It always looks vacant. The glory days for this spot seem to be drifting away. It's no longer filled with dozens of truckers and locals. Recently we stopped here again. The menu is typical of any Country Pride, and is similar to the old food we remembered. We walked over to the buffet and the food on the buffet was drying up. It looks like it's sat in the warmers all day. We decided to order off the menu. After we put away a burger and chicken fried steak, we looked around talking about how we were the only customers in the place, but Wendy's next door was packed. The food was good, but I guess we live in a new fast paced world today where travelers prefer quick fast food so they can get back on the road to where they're headed. The days of stopping along the journey to enjoy a calm home cooked meal may be a thing of the past. If this was my first experience here I would be giving 2 or 3 stars, but because this place has provided great dining experiences in the past for our family I have to bump it up to a 4. read more

Keep on truckin' to a better meal, unless you like paying over $14 for an average sized bowl of iceberg lettuce chunks, a bit of cheap lunchmeat, a few cherry tomatoes, mooshy boiled eggs, and two pieces of garlic toast that didn't have any garlic flavor and had an odd whang to the butter - all masquerading as a "Chef's Salad." My Club sandwich was about the same price, and was much more satisfying, mainly due to the good quality bacon accompanying huge pieces of iceburg lettuce, tomatoes, and the cheap lunch meat. They acknowledged that they were short staffed, but a 50 minute wait for our food was ridiculous. We also kept hearing them tell people what all they were out of in the way of beverages. I live about 5 miles from Beto Junction and I sometimes get my gas there. My husband and I have eaten there a couple of times and it was ok. Tonight I came in to get something to go. I knew it was close to closing time so I ordered to go. The waitress was just short of rude, it was oblivious she wasn't happy that about four customers who came in to eat. I ordered fish with a side salad. The salad had about enough lettuce for a hamburger, the fish tasted like it had been refried to warm it up, there was no tarter sauce, basically an all around bad experience. We have been eating out more often to support local restaurants. We will not be back to this restaurant. Very disappointed as this is the closest restaurant to us but I will be driving from now on. North is Lyndon with a good Mexican restaurant and a great family restaurant Ann's Diner make the drive! Emporia is about 20 minutes west read more
