I have passed by this place several times without having the chance to stop and eat. When I asked where a good place to eat was I was directed to check Marilynn's Place out. I am glad I did! Stopping in for lunch I ordered the special which was a pork tenderloin sandwich, fries and a drink for less than what I would have normally spend at a fast food place. The staff was super nice and great with anything I needed. Food came out quickly, the pork tenderloin was a good size with a good size amount of fries. They have a pie cabinet when you first walk in the door, I asked to verify and these pies are all made in house. I went with the Lemon Meringue which is one of my favorites and It was SO GOOD!! The have a lot of different flavor options. The food menu had a list of Breakfast, sandwiches and dinner, so there are a lot of different options. Everything I ate was delicious and it was such a great little old fashion diner which I miss places like this. I will definitely going stopping in more when I am in town. read more

We came to the wrong side of the building and thought it might be closed so we turned around. But no, they popped out and invited us in, right through the kitchen!! It doesn't get much more "small town welcoming" than that. We ordered some appetizers, chicken tenders and cheese curds were both really good, nice and crispy. Stopped in on the way home from Manhattan. Very neat little mom and pops type place. Staff were friendly and the fried mushrooms, cheese curds, chicken fingers with cream gravy were incredible. We will definitely be back. read more

Ordered smoked pork chops which definitely had a great smoke flavor. Tender easy to cut. Service was quick as we were just barely finishing our salad when the dinner arrived. Limited choice on sides if you don't want potatoes. read more

We normally have had excellent service. Although the last couple of times, we have had a young incompetent and rude server. Who never apologized for the food being backed up. She just gave my husband a snippy answer back. And then never came back over to check on us or our drinks. Basically ignoring us. That the older ladies stepped in to help us out. The older ladies are awesome. Not sure where the young one came from, she needs some serious training with her edicate, when it comes to working in the Hospitality industry. Yes it is a small restaurant, although it is a start. And she could use more training. The food is always good. We love it, although next time we should request the older gals to help us read more

they dont wear gloves, the cook stands in the back shirtless, he also coughs all over the food, the salads are made with no gloves, there is mold in the back, ive seen roaches in the back too, the cook lives above the restaurant, naomi brown, the owner, has thrown knives at employees and other things too like the steaks they serve u, no hairnets are worn, ive seen ants in the salt and pepper shakers, naomis granddaughter who is at least 35 years old goes in and makes food for free without wearing a hairnet or gloves, naomi doesnt treat her employees good at all (ik from experience), it is friendly on the outside but working there was the worst experience of me and my friends entire life. read more

Great food, great experience. I always enjoy going here with my family, we feel like family! Love Monday night Hoyt beef sandwiches. Chicken fried steak is always delicious. Finally had a chance to have a sit down home style meal. Meatloaf and pie was great! COVID rules of course but still able to dine in.

Good home town type cooking especially the noon meal. One of the best places to also get a good hamburger and fries. Where the farmers hang out in the morning for coffee. read more

Well I remember why I quit going to Marilynns in Osage..... had a hamburger patty with onions and mushrooms...asked if I could just buy a hamburger patty with mushrooms and onions instead of paying for stuff I would not eat....I'm cutting out carbs..no sides no salad no bread just the burger...... charged $10.49 + tax and an extra $1 for the 5 pieces of mushroom..... crazy. Even reminded her that I didn't have a meal just a hamburger patty and was told well we have to charge you the price of the hamburger steak meal???? Crazy never again!!! The owner's son Shawn made this decision. Well they have now lost our business. It's the principle of what happened and they actually saved money on food costs, since I didn't have the Texas Toast, potatoes, or salad with dressing. Seriously.... read more

Good breakfast options, good pancakes. Really nice waitresses, good service. lunch and dinner is average however my aunt and uncle really like this place and have been eating here for years. Decor is seriously out dated and needs new bench seating. Burgers are typical burgers medium to good, onion rings are yummy, Ruben is good but too small with little meat. This place is a hit or miss for me but I wasn't born and raised here. Lots of locals come here, parking lot pretty full around lunch...that might be a good sign.
