How can Walmart afford to keep its lights on?…read more If you're like me, you've got friends who talk about Aldi like it's some kind of religion. They'll never shop for groceries anywhere else. They'd drive an extra 5 miles just to go to Aldi over another grocery store that's closer to home. They've got a designated spot in the wallet for THE Aldi's quarter. I used to be a non believer, but now I'm here to share the good news. I can not, in good conscience, say it's financially healthy to shop elsewhere. I am a penny pincher to the max, especially when it comes to cyclical purchases. I've been buying the same list groceries every 2 weeks for nearly 4 years. My bill was, on average, $350 dollars. Since I started shopping at Aldi, it's been under $200 consistently and I can't imagine going back. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fluffy bread, and even shelf food that compares (or tastes better!) than the big brands charging twice the price. In addition to the food, they have baby supplies, light furniture, a huge frozen food and meat section, deli selections, and more. I highly recommend Aldi. Try it just once and you'll become a believer.

Plastic bags will be discontinued on April 6, 2026 and there will be a charge of $0.05 per plastic bag/$0.10 per paper bag. Baggers are available to provide services. The store recently changed management, and the young couple who now run it have made some nice changes. They have also included a small selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, and have revamped their freezer section. The thing that ranks them highest in town for me is the bright, open feel to the store. The lights are on, the space is clean, and everything has a price tag. Not only are things easy to find, but you don't have to ask what things cost. This makes it a more comfortable shopping experience for customers who are new to an Asian market. The Asian Market is in an odd building. Though the address is Sheridan, the storefront is actually on Floyd. There are plenty of parking spaces in front, and so many treasures inside!

This is because the store itself is just so old that it doesn't matter how hard the employees might be trying...it's just not clean and won't be clean. They need to remodel. I waited for a full hour for no one to tell me that they couldn't change the oil on my car because one of their machines was broken, and the only way I found out is when I went up to the register and the cashier told me.
