My family and I stumbled across this gem after the coffee shop we intended to test was closed for a private wedding. The Country Lane Pantry has really good marketing as I kept seeing this name appear on multiple signs in the small town of Barron. While they don't sell coffee, they do have a wide variety of baked goods, baking materials such as spices, cookie cutters, fruits, nuts, cheeses, crackers, fudge, candy, etc. A very similar feeling to a co-op, this place even sells outdoor patio furniture, bird feeders, dog houses, etc. The home decor items are outside where the food remains inside. Service was nice and the longer line went fairly quick. One register up front for purchase transactions and one in the back for buying cheese and fudge. read more

This is a very unique out-in-the-country pantry store with a greenhouse loaded with flowers in the spring and summer. They have a wonderful selection of spices, dried soups and all kinds of pastas and at very friendly prices. My wife, the gourmet cook, was really impressed with the variety and the excellent prices. Me? I scooped up about a dozen fresh baked cookies and some of the best homemade fudge I had in a very long time! And if you get a chance do check out their fabulously popular summertime farmers market. Lots of local farmers and vendors offer a big selection of fresh fruits, veggies, jellies, jams, pickles, sauces, relishes and much more. read more

The store is filled with unique items that you wouldn't find elsewhere. We buy flavors for our family's homemade candy there and the selection is phenomenal. The Farmer's Market is an incredible addition to the Barron area -- it makes for a fun, family evening of browsing the different vendor booths, eating delicious food and enjoying a little bit of country life. Country lane pantry is a bakers and chefs paradise! The selection of flours,sugars, flavoring and toppings is remarkable. The deli meat and cheese selection is top notch! Ranging from cheddar to olive cheese with everything in between like havarti and farmers cheese. Not to mention the squeaky fresh cheese curds they get in every Tuesday and Thursday! Which brings us to the amazing Farmers market the store hosts every Thursday from mid June through the end of September, the hours are 2pm through 8 pm. The over thirty vendors sell veggies, fruit, handmade clothing, handmade rugs, home baked breads, cookies, honey, jam , jellys, handmade wooden toys and spoons, handmade jewelry, grass fed beef, and many handmade crafts. Many locals go every Thursday to feast on the tasty treats served up by the food trucks which include hand battered deep fried cheese curds from the Curd Nerd, fresh made kettle corn, a Navajo taco( all the toppings of a taco served up on fresh Indian fry bread), brick oven pizza made while you wait, homemade ice cream, fresh made French fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, some of the best egg rolls I've ever had, and many many more options.
