I have been looking for a good mechanic for a couple of years and finally found it in Tune Tech! I…read morehave brought both of my vehicles here and at the staff remembers me and my cars every time. Whenever I have called to schedule and oil change or anything else and they always have availability at least within the week and they go the extra mile and fix little things (like replace the lightbulbs around the license plate.) They take the time to check out the vehicle and let you know of any upcoming maintenance that will be needed but they aren't pushy about doing any of it that day. The best thing about this place, is that as a female, I often find mechanics and male service people to be incredibly patronizing. Not the case here. They are respectful and don't assume that I am ignorant of how a car works or what any of the parts are. They talk to me like an intelligent human being and explain things when I ask but they don't assume that I'm an idiot. They never try to rope me into up-charges just for the sake of making more money off of me like other oil change companies that will not be named. All in all, I highly recommend Tune Tech!

Poor management leads to poor service…read more I was invited to drop off my car on a Friday morning with the promise that it could be fixed the same day. The issue was straightforward and resolvable in a single day. After eleven days of vague and questionable excuses, I finally got my car back. I don't know if Tune Tech's policy is to "just get them in" and then manage as best they can, but it would explain the overpromising and underdelivering I experienced. I hope their scheduling and policies don't reflect their technical abilities. I hope they fixed my car correctly. I wish I didn't have that doubt. Time will tell. Two stars instead of one because they provided me with a discount as compensation.

At that point they did a work up which took them 4 days and at the end of which they told me it would be another 5-6,000 to actually fix my car. If I had known from the beginning that it would cost over 7,000 to fix my car I wouldn't have put the initial $2,300 in and I'm pretty upset about being told it was "fine", paying, then being told it'll cost 3x that amount more for it to ACTUALLY be fine. Now I'm looking for a new car and a new auto shop because I got ripped off.

Lastly he treated me as if I had been a long time customer. I will definitely bring my vehicles to this shop in the future as I will soon be doing my daughter's winter change out and will also be in the market for new tires for my dad's truck. I'm calling because I needed help, why treat a would have been customer so badly?! I tried explaining what I needed and not being a mechanic I'm sure I said some things in the wrong way or the wrong order but if you work there and your answering the phone you should not be rude and condescending when someone calls for help. All I can say is wow, that person has an authority issue if that's how she's treating people who call there asking for help. Why did you feel the need to be so rude to me, you knew what I meant and what I was talking about you could have been nice and you could have used customer service to assist me and would have had another customer. Now you have someone so appalled at what you did to me I'm never going to use your company.

I got quotes for it from about 11 different mechanics. I went with 5 MILE AUTO CENTER because of the communication and the transparency of what was included and how much each item would cost. The work was done in the promised timeframe and they kept me informed on the progress and answered questions every time I had them. Then when I came in after done work and made my final payment I was informed that not everything they quoted was needed and they were able to do the work for less than what they thought and agreed on. THEY WERE TOTALLY HONEST AND ACTUALLY CHARGED ME OVER $500.- LESS !!!! I could not believe it! I have not met anyone like that!! Then later on after about 2 weeks, the fan was still much louder than I was used to (turned out my old fan clutch was actually broken and that is why it was so quiet) he replaced it and put in a new one, all under warranty, did not charge me a dime! In addition they topped off my transmission fluid which was low, for no charge at all. My experience with 5 MILE AUTOMOTIVE CENTER could not have been more pleasant! A huge shout out to the 5 MAC and everyone who works there, I d recommend them for any work you need done on your car!
