A regular Country Fried Chicken customer having eaten from many of the branches all over Northern Ireland I have to say that I was very disappointed with my latest visit to the Portadown shop. I've eaten here before but this time the superchip portion size was much smaller than normal, the newly introduced chicken salad didn't look fresh. Tomatoes and onions are not available - as apparently they don't have to, even though tomatoes are in the pre-prepared chicken salad. The only saving grace of the food was the large white meat on the bone portion sizes. In terms of service - my nephew didn't want a country fried like the rest of us he wanted a McDonalds (possibly due to the toy incentive!) maybe a tad cheeky to ask for directions but that we did only the directions we were given...well, the girl sent us the opposite way of where it was on foot in the rain (up the alleyway beside Subway apparently). Assuming this was not on purpose but shows a lack of awareness of the local area in which the 2 ladies that served us work in.
Won't put me off country fried chicken loyalty but my experience would make me think twice before revisiting the Portadown shop. read more
