We stayed at this Best Western while passing through Chehalis and had a really pleasant experience…read more We often choose Best Westerns because they're reliable, clean, and consistent--and this location met all of those expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself was well kept. The breakfast was especially impressive. In addition to the usual breakfast items, they had someone making fresh omelets to order, along with sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, and a full breakfast bar. It was much better than the typical hotel breakfast and a great way to start the day. The staff was wonderful, especially Gina at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and welcoming when we arrived in the evening and made sure everything was taken care of for our stay. All around, a great place to stay and an easy recommendation if you're in Chehalis.

A nice hotel in Chehalis. I never would have stayed here if it wasn't for a training seminar I was…read moreattending. The staff is friendly and professional. I have nothing but kind words for them. The building is well maintained and furnished. There is an indoor pool and hot tub. There is a nice dining area that serves breakfast every morning. They even offer omelets to order. I was staying in a suite on the third floor. I would like to say there was nice scenery from my window, but it was just the parking lot. Oh well, my view wasn't perfect but I didn't really have time to enjoy it either! I would not hesitate to stay here again if I was ever in the area again.

In April 2026, we traveled to Seattle to see the three national parks in the area. While visiting…read moreMt. Rainier, we stayed at Stone Creek Lodge. The lodge is maybe a quarter mile from the Mt. Rainier National Park entrance. As soon as we parked to check-in, Bob and Joe (Owners/Managers) made us feel welcome. The cabin we had was great. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The views were wonderful. It was so peaceful and quiet. A great place to relax and re-energize. While there, Bob and Joe shared their knowledge of Mt. Rainier and the surrounding area. Telling us the best places to eat, all about the mountain, where to go for pictures, trails to walk, best places to see wildlife, and so much more. They had a campfire one night and provided everything we needed to make Smores. Many of the guests came out to the campfire, enjoying the smores, the conversation, and the stars. It turned out that one couple had stayed there several times before. At the time we were there, the park required vehicles to carry snow chains. They rent chains at the lodge for half the price of the places you can rent them in town. Unfortunately, they didn't have our tire size but immediately offered to go purchase a set for us to rent. By far, Stone Creek lodge was the best place we stayed during our trip. If headed to the National Park or the Ashford area, we highly recommend Stone Creek Lodge.

Very close by the park so you'll see some wild life, we saw deer and a lot of birds. It still feels secluded even though it's near the entrance of the park, very peaceful place. He even had games and hiking sticks to borrow.

Amazing hotel for a stopping point before driving down the Oregon coast!…read more Service: The front desk staff was so friendly! They helped with getting an extra blanket, and answered questions I had. Room: very comfortable beds. Very clean room with plenty of towels in the bathroom. There is a larger mini fridge and a microwave. It was nice to have the fridge to store food I had brought. Swimming Pool: small indoor pool and tiny hot tub. Both were warm. The front desk has to unlock the pool which is great for safety. My kids had a lot of fun playing in the pool. Breakfast: Amazing selection for breakfast. Several different stations around the big room it's served in which is nice for not having to wait in line for one thing. My kid's loved the make your own waffle station. I enjoyed the crunchy bacon and eggs. They use real plates and silverware which is great for lessening waste and single use plastics!

But the service representative at the front desk was genuinely incredibly rude about informing us of this and showed zero hospitality and politeness. Its not his fault that the building seems to have incredibly micromanaged and strict regulations though, so I'm sure he was only trying to follow policy. Which is fine! But he showed zero candor, politeness or anything at all and coldly told us we'd have to book another room for the fifth person. We ended up needing to have someone sleep in the car for the night. Do not come here if you have 5 or more people, the website barely describes the 4 person policy and it is enforced so thouroughly by the management that it leaves absolutely no room for the staff to be able to provide a welcoming and inviting experience for your average inn enjoyer. After this experience we decided that we wanted to cancel our second night to prevent someone from sleeping in the car again, however they have a policy you have to sign that made it so we would not get a refund whatsoever for that night so we ended up being forced to pay for the second night anyway and go to another hotel. Unbelievably poor service and policies, rude staff, and all around an unpleasent affair.
