A local farm/event space in Lancaster that offers seasonal activities and also holds weddings. I've only visited once and visited for their Sunflower Festival which included sunflower fields, live music, food, wine tastings and activities for kids. The entrance ticket costs about $15 and includes the opportunity to enjoy all of the above and one sunflower stem. Additional stems were about a dollar extra I believe. Since I don't have kids I didn't partake in any of the kids activities so I thought ticket price was a bit steep but if you have kids and hang around for longer it would be more worth it. The appeal for me was that this sunflower field was much less crowded than others in Bucks and Montgomery counties so more pleasant and safer in the time of COVID. This is a cute little farm that's good at what it does; and what it does is provide family fun. My relatives in the area suggested this place, mostly due to it being one of very few public farms in the area. Right now they're running their autumnal festivities which include a pumpkin patch hayride, a corn maze and their year round animal exhibits. Strangely enough I'm impressed with their pumpkin selections since they have a few different varieties and not just the typical big orange pumpkins you find everywhere else. Their maze is about on par with other corn mazes. My only issue is that the line in the market gets insane when the hayrides drop off there after the pumpkin patch. This is a huge bottle neck which is a big pain and should be addressed. Aside from that this place is a nice way to spend an autumn day and buy some delicious farm goods. read more

10 of us went there today to get our trees. We called 1st and was quoted $83 to $123. There best selection was out back to where you needed to take a 2 mile an hour little train. To use the train, it's $6.50 a person including kids above 3. For the money, they say you can look at there sheep! We went for trees! All the trees were trimmed nice, except most of them had a 1 1/2' top branch that they leave on. You cut it down, drag back to the 1 train that runs every half hour, and go back to the barn. Price for the 8' was $120., with the 1 1/2 post on top, it went to &180.00. My daughter asked how much for the pre cut, $99.00. She asked the owner how do we do all the work and you charge twice the price! He couldn't give 2 shits! What a ripe off! Never again! A shithole of a place! read more

We came here for their Easter Bunny Breakfast. The place was cute and they had a large selection of buffet foods. They also made homemade blueberry pancakes and chocolate pancakes. There was bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and various pastures. There was a drink bar and coffee bar. Included with our admission was also two pic with the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt. It was a nice day out, we won one of the door prizes ( a dozen cider doughnuts) and enjoyed the atmosphere. read more

I recently had the pleasure of attending a breakfast with Santa at this lovely farm market/wedding venue. Having been the second of such of the season at two different area businesses this one far exceeded our expectations and will clearly be the ONLY one we go to in future years. Held in a refurbished barn on the property that hosts weddings and other celebrations the restoration was top notch. Would definitely make Joanna Gaines proud! The space was nicely decorated in an old fashion Christmas manner that didn't feel commercialized. From our entry till departure we were delighted with every aspect of our experience. Since we attended a breakfast with Santa event, and it was in the low 30's outside, this review is based solely on that experience. While the property also houses a playard for kids with different activities, barnyard animals, and a farmers market we did not check out those areas but do plan on coming back in nicer weather. Where our breakfast with Santa at Kitchen Kettle Village failed, the Country Barn excelled. The barn was spacious inside and the reservations allowed for just enough people to make dining and seeing Santa comfortable. They could have easily added more tables and chairs to really capitalize on the event but the fact that they didn't spoke volumes. Ample time was provided to dine and we didn't feel rushed. Our ticket included a photo they provided with Santa and Mrs Claus, as well as the outdoor activities. Our time with Santa was generous and felt very relaxed. Door prizes were also offered much to our surprise. Every aspect of the breakfast was well executed. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet, arranged in several stations so it was easy to access and at no time was overly crowded. A pancake station was also set up, cooked to order in front of you with heated maple syrup. While the meal itself was good but not exceptional (the potatoes really could have used some seasoning) overall we were very satisfied with the offerings and presentation. Servers came around and cleared the tables and at no time did we feel like we overstayed our welcome, or that the event dragged on. I can't praise the restoration enough, as no expense was spared. The original details and charm of the barn remained even with the conversion to an event venue. This would be the perfect venue for a wedding, baby, or bridal shower and I will definitely consider them if I entertain on a large scale in the future. I also had the pleasure of meeting with the owner who definitely takes pride in his land/business and was very personable, as were all the other employees we encountered. This place is definitely a hidden Lancaster County gem and I can't wait to go to breakfast with the Easter Bunny and check out the rest of what they offer in warmer weather! read more

This place has become very run down. Many of the activities were broken or in very poor condition. The animal pens were very dirty. It was not worth the $11 admission. They were nice enough to give me a refund which was appreciated. We went on the last day of the season and were told that's why the attractions were not up to par. But it does not look like improvements have been made in several years. read more

Terrible easter egg hunt this morning. I preregistered for a 10am hunt for my three year old. It took quite awhile to get the hunt going because of the tractor ride bringing everyone in. I was understanding about that, and this being only their second year doing easter. When the hunt finally started, closer to 11, a bunch of whiny toddlers were able to hunt eggs. When my son looked inside his plastic eggs every single one was empty! What a waste of time! At least they could have put stickers or something. I would have given them 7 stars, but for giving a bunch of kids empty eggs I give them 1. read more

Horrible pumpkin "patch" There was maybe 20 pumpkins out in the field to chose from and they were all rotten. Waited for the tractor to come back to pick us up and was skipped over by 4 tractors. Waited 25 minutes to return where we just decided to walk back. Horrible experience all the way around. read more

We took my nephews this weekend and I was really disappointed with the condition of the animals especially. The horse was filthy, had goop on its eye and the water for it was moldy. The donkeys were also filthy. The alpaca (or llama, not sure which) was in need of some tlc in the grooming department as well. There was junk all over the property. It seemed very unkempt. However, the hayride to the pumpkin patch had (what looked to be) new trailers. They are making a killing charging the same price for adults and kids to enter. Not sure why I was charged when I didn't partake in any of the kid's activities. Either way, they can afford to take better care of their animals. I grew up in the country so I know farm life is tough. But hire some adults and take better care of your animals....they are an integral part of your livelihood. read more

This place is kind of a dump. Not well maintained, staffed, and much of it is in need of repair. We went for our kids, who didnt notice all the flaws as much, but we will not return. We will gladly pay the few extra bucks to go to Cherry Crest farm, who does an excellent job, hitting home runs while this place strikes out. read more

My 3 yr old grandson & I had such a wonderful, fun-filled experience at Barnyard Kingdom today! There was a vast array of interesting and different things for him to explore and play with. I was amazed at the ingenuity of how they were created. Old farm equipment was turned into something for the kids to explore and pretend they were farmers. One even had a slide coming out of it. Staff were so pleasant and helpful. The hayride to the pumpkin patch was a highlight and we enjoyed listening to the farmer talk to us about his profession. I was happy as to just how affordable it is. The animals are very well taken care of and well mannered. Pig race was really funny and the staff made it a lot of fun engaging the audience. Last but not least, the store had a lot of goodies and we were pleasantly surprised at just how delicious they were! We had such a nice time and I highly recommend taking your child there. read more
