I would give them zero stars if possible. They towed my car after i was rear ended, drove off without confirming where it was getting towed to, and NOW i have to drive an hour and half out of my way( back to nashville) to be able to release my car to my insurance. They refused to do it over the phone or email. I had my insurance do a conference call with them and the stupid lady working the desk thought it was professional to yell at me and my insurance agent and then hang up the phone on us. Here's a review based on your experience: Rating: I had a terrible experience with Cotton's Towing. After they towed my car, I discovered that over $1,000 worth of my belongings were stolen. This included a very expensive radar detector, a jump box for my battery, an air compressor for my tire, prescription medicine from my glove box, and a few other small items. When I tried to address the issue with the woman on duty that day, she was incredibly hateful and dismissive. To make matters worse, after I brought up the missing items, they added over $400 in extra charges to my bill. The explanations for these charges didn't add up--they told me it was for cleaning up glass from the street after the wreck, but when the dealership called to pick up the car, they claimed it was for the police dispatch. These charges were clearly fabricated with no valid reason behind them. When I called the manager to discuss the situation, he was extremely disrespectful, called me a liar, and insisted that his employees wouldn't steal from my car. However, I know everything was in the car when I left it, and I locked the doors myself. The only person who had access to the key was the front desk, so there's no way someone other than an employee could have stolen my belongings. Instead of helping me resolve this issue, Cotton's Towing chose to add baseless charges to my bill and told me to get over it. I strongly advise avoiding this company at all costs--they are unprofessional, dishonest, and will not hesitate to take advantage of you. read more

The office customer service leaves much to be desired. Their systems are out dated, with authorization to release my car to the body shop needing to be done in person rather than offering a digital option. This caused me to make an initial trip to the yard (90 minutes round trip drive)- super inconvenient and unnecessary. In addition, because the office staff made an error, the key to the car was not sent with it when being transported to the body shop. The staff, completely unapologetic, offered zero assistance other than telling me I would need to pick up from them and bring the key to the body shop myself. This caused an additional 2.5 hours of driving for me. Thankfully, the other driver's insurance is covering all costs but if that was not the case, I would absolutely speak to the owner and request reimbursement for my (4 hours total) unnecessary drive time. Of note- Our tow truck driver was worthy of a 5 star review. He was kind and on the day of the accident, went out of his way to take me to my husband, who couldn't get to the accident site due to the traffic. I contacted Amanda at Cottons regarding a blown steering tire. I got a quote for $825. I ended up paying $858. After that processed and the tow truck driver (Chris) arrived at my semi the price changed for an additional $400 per (Natasha). They said my trailer was leaning too much and needed extra $ After being strong armed into paying an additional $400. My truck was hooked within 5 minutes and was on it's way! No extra work involved! $1258 is too much to pay for the BAD customer service from Cotton's. When Chris arrived at the mechanic shop with my truck I noticed my passenger hood mirror broken and the arm on it damaged. I had replaced the hood mirror 2 months ago. Cotton's will never admit it. It will be up to me to replace my hood mirror. Also, Chris almost tore my bumper off getting his equipment out. I had to scream at him to stop the truck. Then he used a hammer on my bumper! (no kidding)! He took many photos of my equipment. I suggest Natasha check his phone. Chris also jumped a curb at Pilot Truck Stop and tried to drop my trailer there after I had instructed him where to park. I had to help him back up and get to the proper parking lot. I was horrifying to watch him just knowing my truck and trailer was in his hands. I have used Cotton's before. They will be my last of the last choice now! I would give them - stars read more

Dispatching service sucks. 3 hours waiting on a tow. Original wait was 1 hour, which I could understand because of traffic and time of day. I called after that hour was up...15 mind they said. I have them 40. Still no tow. Called again, they 12 min away. Almost 40 min later. Oh I don't know why no one came out, we hv plenty of trucks. I'm so done with them. Will never call again. I called requesting the tow off of an unauthorized vehicle in front of my home with expired tags from 2022. Customer service rep sounded lazy and wasn't helpful nor kind at all. This is the worst experience I have ever had. After having my vehicle towed. It was taken to their lot and when I went to pick it up, it had been broken into. The driver side window was busted out and a bunch of items were taken. I found it odd that the driver side window was busted seeing how the way it was parked against the treeline, the driver side door couldn't even be accessible. There was no broken glass at the site of pick up so it had to of happened elsewhere. Ive called numerous of times, left several messages, and still can't get the manager Ashley to return a call. Do not allow these people to tow your vehicle! I work for a company and we tried to get them to tow it to the place where we were going to have it repaired and they took it to their lot and sent us a certified letter stating that our vehicle had been impounded until we paid the fees. Our insurance company tried to get it released and moved to the shop where we were going to have it repaired and they stated they could not find it. We having tracking devices in our vehicles and we could see exactly where it was, 12725 Old Hickory Blvd. DO NOT ALLOW TEHSE THIVES TO TOW YOUR VEHICLE. Racist. They had my vehicle after a wreck. I needed to retrieve my belongings in the car and was told I could get them. Upon arriving the gate was open and I drove to my truck. One of the drivers ran up to me and the first words out of his mouth were BOY what the fu@k are you doing back here. I tried to explain I had permission but was cursed out and called BOY several times by the driver. I remember his baked bean teeth and spit flying from his mouth as he yelled. He then told me he would call the cops and have me arrested for trespassing. I promptly left and was called by their dispatch. The first words were my driver said you rammed the gate you dumba@s and he was calling the police. After promptly hanging up I called the manager and explained the gates only open one way and to ram the gate would ruin it and my vehicle. I also told them if I was arrested I would get a lawyer and sue them for false reporting and whatever else I could. She explained she did not know why the driver or dispatch still worked there. He has complaints due to his cussing out several customers per week. Besides being a grown black man called boy, and being called a dumbas@ by dispatch, and threatened with false arrest, the service was overpriced and unpleasant. If I could give them less than a one I would. And I still have not heard from the owner after trying to contact him several times. That driver or perhaps one of the others will hurt someone eventually. Stay away. read more

When I went with my wrecker to pick up my car from their lot, their employee (who I might add was napping in a tow truck when I got there) hooked the front end of the vehicle up to a forklift and damaged the front bumper, radiator support, and knocked a light out. The lady in the office (who was very polite) came and took pictures and was very helpful. When I called their office to get the problem rectified they said the damage they caused on their lot was not their fault and to call my insurance company because "that's what you have insurance for". Never will I use or recommend them or any of the other Tow Pro companies. I hope the lady at the yard finds a new job with a reputable company that will probably pay her what she's worth. After all of the stress, fear, concerns about multiple surgeries, etc. she went to Cotton's to collect her husband's bike. When she did she was treated horribly. They were rude and forced her to pick up everything that didn't come on the bike and put them in her car herself. They refused to help. The price was reasonable, the service was faster than they said it would be, and the driver and his assistant were courteous and friendly. I was very pleased with my experience with Cottons towing. Josh, the man who came to tow my car was a friendly, happy, professional man and was very proficient at the process of towing my car. The equipment was up to date also, which gave me a better feeling of confidence. He let me follow him to the tire store and even pulled over at one time to make sure I was with him. Left my vehicle over night and the next day it was gone.. when I called the towing service to ask about my vehicle they said yes they had it. I got my tractor and finish mower stuck in a bog in the yard and called Cottons who sent out a large tow truck. When the truck arrived the guy used his smarts and told me he would call A smaller truck to drive into the yard and he could tow the smaller truck out if necessary.That was exactly what panned out. I was in Antioch, TN, and I typically see Cotton tow trucks in the area. I thought this would be the best place to call to have my car towed. I called at 4:51pm on February 10th. The young lady I spoke with stated I would have to wait an hour. I gave her information on where the car needed to be picked up and where it should have been dropped off. The lady I spoke with told me it would be 115 dollars. When I called back at around 6pm, the young lady that answered the phone had no record of me calling. If I'm calling to have my car towed, I couldn't be in the best mood. This made my mood worse. I needed my car to be towed to Firestone by 7 pm. I can't say enough good things about Cotton's. The driver they sent was one of the nicest, most polite guys. The first question they asked when I called was "Are you in a safe place" That made me feel like they gave a damn. Wow I just used cottons for a non insurance tow of my tractor out of a bog in the middle of my yard. Now they thought I meant a semi tractor so they sent an oversize tow truck but the guy driving it was pretty smart as he saw my tractor situ and called for a smaller tow truck on the basis that if it sunk in the mud like my tractor had he would be able to pull it out from his position on the road. Well it all played out exactly like that,my tractor was in deep but the smaller tow truck pulled it out, then the larger truck pulled the smaller truck out. This company have the right equipment in the hands of experienced professionals who got the job done. I will use them for all of my towing needs in future. read more

Worst towing company ever! If I could give 0 stars, I would've. Jan 7 2017 I had called them to get a wrecker to load my car onto my rig and prepaid for their service. Stephanie guaranteed me 2 hours or less ETA, then 4 hours goes by and still a no show. I call them back and I reminded Stephanie(who was rude) about the 2 hour or less guaranteed eta she had given me and she said "Sorry sir, I can't help that we're busy" but actually she could have just been straight with me. Gave these guys a benefit of doubt and cancelled the tow and booked it for 0930 Am the next morning to let them have time to catch up (I was already inconvenienced at that time and would've went with another company the first time around if the more reputable tow companies weren't so busy) but these guys guaranteed me a time so despite their reviews I gave them a chance. So the next morning 10am rolls around, I call them and got a rude lady who told me they pulled the driver off my call to handle another. I was livid! So not only are we as a customer not important enough to make happy and stick by a guarantee, they pull drivers off your call for no good reason especially without a courtesy phone call to the customer both days. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and LIARS. Let the reviews on Google and yelp and all other sites tell the story.
