Upon walking inside you're greeted by a bunch of plants and that was one of my favorite parts. You can purchase the plants that are there and they also have little trinkets and items from small shops that are sold there on the shelves. The inside isn't super large, but there's plenty of seating and the decor is so inviting. The staff behind the bar was very friendly which is always nice in a new area - that alone will make us keep coming back. The beer itself was great, very refreshing. One thing I wanted to note - I realize this is a brewery and that type of environment is clearly prioritized for adults usually, but Emerald Coast really had a "family-friendly" vibe - there were several people there with their kids, including us. This is really special for us, as we don't do babysitters, and family doesn't live close by to give us time away from the kids - so where we go, our kids go - it's nice to be able to have a little date night and do something that my husband and I enjoy while also getting to spend that time with our babies. I get that not everyone wants to be around kids, but finding the places here and there that are adult-focused but still family friendly for our kids to come with us is invaluable really.

They advertised a spiced pear Margarita. It was not a spiced pear. It was a spicy pear, which is a completely different drink. A spiced pear would imply, nutmeg, cinnamon, anise, and such. However, it was definitely spicy, as in habanero. So please don't make the same mistake we did. Wasn't with a special drink there was also a drink. That was some kind of espresso chime martini. That may not be the name of it so don't quote me on that. But, you couldn't taste chai. All you tasted was coffee. There was also supposed to be hazelnut in there, which you also couldn't taste. Whoever writes the menu for these particular cocktails, doesn't understand that the most dominant flavor is listed first, and then the accentuating flavors are listed in the order in which they are expected to taste. The martini we tried had no chai and no hazelnut. It was all espresso. Once again, very disappointing. The service was OK but not stellar. Although I got the impression that there was only one waitress serving all the tables inside and outside, so I'm not sure I can actually blame her. It's just a shame that the food and the service for both not great on this particular occasion.

We still got charged for the wings. Brew City is not a Brew City- it is a Brew Ruins. It seems like it is barely clinging to life, and unless something dramatic (and good) happens, it will probably fade into nothing. The front of the store has any liquor you might ever want in very clear and clean, well-marked aisles. Towards the back on the right you'll find the humidor for the cigars. You see, behind the store of all liquors and the impressive selection of cigars there is a bar and cigar lounge. While shopping for my favorite cigars we met an amazing woman who knew of cigars and was an awesome bartender AND when Mrs me asked about Hookah, she fixed her up with a blend that she loved. All the while she was friendly and engaged. She made a fantastic cucumber mint cocktail for her and later a second. A couple of beers for me and 2 hours later we went along our way. Inside, the comfy leather club chairs were set up for maximum comfort and cigar cutters and ashtrays and torches were available. Since we also had hookah, we sat outside and got mellow under pavilions that came complete with fans and phone chargers and even bug zappers, comfortable couches and chairs that could easily fit 10 people. Along each of these were pub tables and regular tables for smaller groups. Our cigar girl/ bartender/ hookah maestro came and checked on us and chatted us up when she could. What I thought was going to be an in and out trip turned out to be one of the best surprises I've had in a while. If I'm lucky enough, I'll be in the area again and get to enjoy this treasure.
