We did Beauty and the Beast and the costumes were the most stressful part. We were getting down to the wire and I couldn't get the costumes together, so I searched online for costume rentals. I recognized Heartland because I remember my community theater used them when they did Beauty and the Beast. Kathy shipped all of the costumes immediately because she is so kind and knew i was up against it with time. The costumes came in a neat and unbelievably organized crate, and they were perfect! We received so many compliments and inquiries about where we got them. They really enhanced the show! We also got the light up roses to sell as a fundraiser. Once we were done, we packed up the crate and they picked it up the next day. Such a smooth, easy, and positive experience. They seem to only have costumes for Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid, but they offer fundraising items for several shows such as Shrek, Peter Pan, Lion King and more. The costumes also have different packages depending on what you need. I would definitely use them again in the future!

We have the Halloween USA stores up in the northern parts of Illinois and their prices are definitely much lower and their selection of costumes better. I know it was the day after Halloween, so I wasn't that surprised that there wasn't much left... but it kind of looked like there hadn't been much there to begin with. I ended up purchasing a witch costume that was just a dress and a hat for almost $60. That is highly ridiculous, considering the costume shouldn't have cost that much to begin with, let alone after a sale. Blech. Almost everything was over $45, which is insane. I'm not sure I'd be happy with this as my only Halloween store in the area.

I say holiday because while they have tons of winter and Chrismas decorations, they seem to have conveniently left those celebrating Kwanzaa and Chanukah out in the cold ... brrrrrrr... The other aisles are arranged according to party color and theme - yes! You go there telling yourself that you are going to plan a super super bowl party and you head directly to the sports party decorations aisle to find table cloths, plastic bowls, streamers, colored chocolates, paper cups, and so much more! Party City in Bloomington, IL earns an A for fun, but a D- for multicultural/ethnic party support.

I placed an order online for a big balloon bouquet to surprise my son for his 21st birthday. The next day, I got an email stating half the order was canceled because some items were not in stock. I called and left a message for them to call me so I could change the order. Later that day, someone from the store called my son & asked what balloons he wanted. My son then called me - the surprise was blown! I talked to the manager, Susan, and she apologized profusely and went out of her way to make it right, even adding extra touches to the bouquet! It was delivered right on time - I think she even delivered it herself - and it looked great! Now that's just good customer service! I would suggest you give this store another chance, as maybe they changed management because Susan really stepped up to the plate!
