The party's over here! Balloons, steamers, and decorations of all colors deck the halls of this store. You can find nearly anything from 25 cent mustaches and candy to fifty dollar costumes for Halloween. They change certain aisles according to season and have recently gone to winter holiday. I say holiday because while they have tons of winter and Chrismas decorations, they seem to have conveniently left those celebrating Kwanzaa and Chanukah out in the cold ... brrrrrrr... The other aisles are arranged according to party color and theme - yes! You go there telling yourself that you are going to plan a super super bowl party and you head directly to the sports party decorations aisle to find table cloths, plastic bowls, streamers, colored chocolates, paper cups, and so much more! I see that the reviews are not good for this store. However, I feel the need to share my recent experience, which didn't start out so great, but ended with excellent service. I placed an order online for a big balloon bouquet to surprise my son for his 21st birthday. The next day, I got an email stating half the order was canceled because some items were not in stock. I called and left a message for them to call me so I could change the order. Later that day, someone from the store called my son & asked what balloons he wanted. My son then called me - the surprise was blown! I talked to the manager, Susan, and she apologized profusely and went out of her way to make it right, even adding extra touches to the bouquet! It was delivered right on time - I think she even delivered it herself - and it looked great! Now that's just good customer service! I would suggest you give this store another chance, as maybe they changed management because Susan really stepped up to the plate! read more

RUDE black female employee with a crooked weave and a terrible attitude has NO BUSINESS working with the public. I saw her give attitude to 2 customers on tonight. She refused to help my wife find something, then she refused to help another woman find something, then she berrated someone else for waiting until the night before Valentine's Day to buy something!! Don't order wedding invitations from here! I had the WORST experience. Let's see to make a long story short... I paid for some very expensive invitations from Birchcraft. I paid an additional $7 PER ITEM (invitation, repsonse card, accommadtions card) to have a BLACK & WHITE digital proof emailed to me. I was told it would be a day or two. A week went by. First phone call:I called and complained on a Friday. The guy at Party City said it should be here by Monday at the latest. Monday came and I still didn't receive an email. Second phone call: I called Monday. The guy said something about Birchcraft can't email customers directly, so they would email them to Party City and Party City would print them out and I could come see them in the store. WHY was I given the option for an email- which I PAID for and now I could no longer have them emailed to me? This is also 9 days after my initial order... The guy at Party City assured me that he would have the proofs in his store the next day by noon at the latest and I would receive a call once they were in. Noon came and no word from Party City... Third phone call: I called at 4 in the afternoon saying they should of been there by noon (well, really 10 days ago). They called Birchcraft again and assured me they would have them within the hour. I went in at 5. The proofs were time-stamped 4 o'clock that afternoon. I decided I no longer trusted this company. It took 10 days and 3 phone calls to get PROOFS, not even the invitations. I ended up getting a full refund, but it took over 30 minutes at the register. What a headache... I'm a pretty laid back person, but this was ridiculous. read more

My cousin's birthday was right around the corner. She decided that she wanted to have a birthday party. I told her that I would help her out with the decorations and planning. I figured that Party City would have almost everything that was needed for the decorations. I picked out numerous items and was almost ready to leave but I had to put in an order for balloons. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, it was finally my turn at the counter. They wrote down what I needed and when the balloons were to be picked up. The night of the party approached and after calling to make sure that the balloons were ready to be picked up (they were) I took the decorations and balloons to the location of the party. We decorated the night before and everything looked great. The next day (day of the party) we went to the location of the party to make sure that everything still looked good and that we didn't need to make any final adjustments. We walked in and all of the balloons were laying on the tables. I was more than upset because I didn't understand why the balloons deflated. I should mention that I'd never ordered balloons for anything. I called Party City and explained to them what had happened. They asked if I had them add something special to the balloons (I still have no idea what that stuff is) to make sure that they wouldn't deflate within so much time. I told them no. When I ordered the balloons they never asked me if I needed that stuff. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager asked the same thing. The manager told me that they have a sign posted that has the info on what this stuff is. I told the manager that I didn't see that sign and that it would have been nice if the store associate would have mentioned it to me. After a few minutes of the manager giving me a hard time and me explaining to the manager that I'm not a clown or a balloon expert, the manager told me to come back and they would give me new balloons for free. It was my fault for not asking for the magical balloon air but after my visit to pick up the new balloons, they showed me where their awesome homemade sign that was partially covered by other awesome homemade signs was. It was located on the side of a cabinet in which I'm sure I would have noticed if I had x-ray vision (since they had someone else's balloons sitting in front of it). All in all, they did as I asked and everything worked out fine but it would have been nice if I didn't have to take an extra two hours (travel time) out of the day to deal with the balloon fiasco. They were ok to deal with in the end since I got what I wanted but I've only been back twice since then. This is obviously due to my bad experience with their poor customer service. I don't think that I'm unreasonable being that I understand that retail is hard to work in (I've done it) and that you have to deal with difficult customers but customer service is important to me and has a big effect on where I shop. read more

They have a good variety of party supplies. Management needs to step up to the plate though. I know they are short staffed right now because they have signs in the parking lot indicating that they are hiring. Management should be willing to help out when they are short staffed. There was a huge line and one very nice, polite girl working the register. She was also responsible for filling balloon orders as they are placed (tried to order my balloons days in advance...I was told they won't do preorders right now. This entire situation would be avoided for everyone if they would do preorders). Two managers walked by several times and did not open a register, nor help the one employee taking phone calls to the store, checking guest out, and filling balloon orders simultaneously. Management knew that people were waiting for balloons and that she needed help. The staff member maintained a polite and professional attitude, but you could tell she was stressed with the entire store riding on her shoulders. Management needs to step up to the plate and help her out. Customers need to be the number one priority, or you will not be in business. read more
