While the pricing and quality of items being sold is still great, the new owner is very unprofessional and makes the experience of shopping at this store unenjoyable. I understand purchasing and running a new business can be stressful, but there is no excuse to be rude to customers. Upon entering the store, I was barked at by the owner to "shut the door" without a "please", "thank you", or even a "good morning". As I shopped, I felt as if I was in the way and upon checkout, I felt the same. There were no smiles or pleasantries exchanged. It is interesting because I notice the new owner is trying to make her presence on social media known, and talks about supporting those who need help and raising money for various charities. Anita, please work on your people skills and having genuine care for others that is actually demonstrated in your business practices. Perhaps watching an episode of "Daniel Tiger" on kindness could go far for you. Unfortunately, I will be rethinking shopping here not due to the quality of items, but due to poor ownership.

They're in a much smaller location this year, maybe 3 or 4 decent sized animatronic figures set up. Everything's so crowded together with narrow aisles, so it's hard to focus on any one thing. Not enough room for people to moving around each other comfortably. They had a big cardboard ship outside the store front, in the mall aisle, but nothing on it! You know the music/sound system is too loud when my boyfriend (who has hearing loss in one ear) was complaining about the volume! We did Beauty and the Beast and the costumes were the most stressful part. We were getting down to the wire and I couldn't get the costumes together, so I searched online for costume rentals. I recognized Heartland because I remember my community theater used them when they did Beauty and the Beast. Kathy shipped all of the costumes immediately because she is so kind and knew i was up against it with time. The costumes came in a neat and unbelievably organized crate, and they were perfect! We received so many compliments and inquiries about where we got them. They really enhanced the show! We also got the light up roses to sell as a fundraiser. Once we were done, we packed up the crate and they picked it up the next day. Such a smooth, easy, and positive experience. They seem to only have costumes for Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid, but they offer fundraising items for several shows such as Shrek, Peter Pan, Lion King and more. The costumes also have different packages depending on what you need. I would definitely use them again in the future!
