I love this store! It's like most other warehouse stores but Costco is more clean and more friendly. This store is efficient and well organized. I love coming here for lunch and I get the $1.25 all beef got dog that comes with a drink or the supreme pizza. The churros and ice cream are also nice sweet treats. Costco is neat because depending on where you are the cafe has different items. Like the Chicago one has a great polish dog, the San Fran one has gelato and Philly ones have italian sausage. Anyway, coming here in the weekends guarantees samples and crowds. I think it's worth it but you have to watch prices because not everything there is a good deal and you have to buy in bulk. Costco also has a good selection of home goods and toys though I have only purchased food. The produce is Amazingly fresh and high quality. Thanks Costco! read more

I love Costco BUT There are lots of Kirkland brand and other organics that are not carried in local stores but are available elsewhere. Eg Kirkland organic butter Kirkland organic half and half Christopher Ranch organic peeled garlic Kirkland sprouted grain bread No nitrate traditional salami Various organic cheeses Organic chicken meatballs Organic berries Organic fresh green beans If you want these and similar products, make requests often. I love Costco, but hate how much money I end up spending each time I go! I'm so glad this Costco opened up in the area because I hated going to the one in King of Prussia and the one in Montgomeryville was just too far. This Costco is next to the Philadelphia Premium Outlet mall. Costco has its own private parking lot and there is ample parking. This location also sells gasoline, so we will typically top off the tanks whenever we are here. In terms of the store itself, it's pretty much like any other Costco store, but I find this one tends to be less busy overall. At other Costco's stores, I usually find the check-out lines to be rather long, and this never seems to be an issue here. My favorite Costco in the area! read more

Costco always has everything we need. They have been a safe environment since COVID-19 began. They are consistently helpful when we go to the store in checkout lines usually move pretty quickly. Except for when everyone thought they wouldn't be able to get the dry goods. But even then, most people were patient waiting in line. Kudos to all the Costco employees! Came here on the weekend and wasn't too crowded (nice!). Was able to do some casual shopping and get the $1.50 hotdog combo. The hotdog here is pretty good and you can't beat the deal. There are some people who just takes up the whole table without ordering any food and it's pretty annoying. People here are pretty friendly and staffs are helpful. Great deals, free samples, cheaper gas, and cheap food court. If you need to buy things in bulk this is the right place for you. Costco provide great deals, they have everything you need. I come here to buy my groceries and multivitamins in bulk. The free samples while you show is to die for! They are always delicious. I love coming to costco for gas because they are cheaper and they're also top tier. The food court is cheap and filling too! Staff is very nice and helpful. Although the checkout lines could be long at times when its busy, but it has never been a major issue for me before. read more

I always look for the disinfecting wipes when I enter the store. It seems like every time I come to Pottstown Costco they have an empty dispenser at the entrance. S . an employee was standing next to the empty dispenser . I asked if any disinfecting wipes were available. S . totally ignored me. It was hurtful to be ignored by this employee for such a small request. This visit took place on Tuesday 2/11/20 around 4 pm . read more

My entire family goes shopping here, about once a month, spending about 700$ on food, every time. This is not saying that they are expensive, as they are not, but its just that i go once per month. The Salmon was delicious- a large packet for $17. produced 5 servings at about $3.50 per serving. Was well worth it. The Kirkland brand toilet paper is to die for. Stop wasting $$ at the grocery store. It is worth the membership fee of $54.00 just buying paper products. I am still using TP purchased from May and I have 5 rolls left. My household has 2 working adults so we are out of the house about 110 hrs per week combined. If you purchase glasses at Costco Optical, verify that your prescription is accurate. The selection and price of men's frames is good and the opticians are very helpful and patient. However, my recent purchase of single vision glasses in December 2018 was not a good experience. The prescription was done incorrectly three times. I had blurry vision while wearing the glasses, so they weren't even close to being made correctly. I went back to Costco three times to have my glasses remade. Upon my return, the optician verified each time that they were made incorrectly. However, they never offered a reason or explanation as to why this kept happening. Again, the price was great for the glasses (~ $130), but it wasn't worth the hassle to keep returning to the store to have them remade. I'll be going back to Visionworks for all future glasses purchases, because they are always made correctly the first time and have great sales and post-sales support. read more

Tire Shop is the best in the area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. These guys really know their stuff. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting the higher end tires like Michelin. They stand behind their warranty with no questions asked. read more

Love this Costco. Wish longer hours though. So much easier to come here than KoP or Montgomeryville. Same stuff with less hassle. Plenty of parking. Not as crowded. Pleasant employees. This is for returns my wife recently return a gallon of the Kirkland organic orange juice and was given a hard time by the person who took care of her, she told him the orange juice was bad and smell bad he said if we had shaking it and he then proceeded tell her it smell good to him. My wife hot another juice and we had the same issues, I returned it today ad was given a refund no questions or comments winch is what I expect from Costco, the I spoke to the manager but I'm not sure if he care about my issue I'm calling the Costco headquarters to let them know also. read more

Megan in the Optical Department is by far the best employee I have seen in the Sanatoga Costco. I've been shopping at this Costco since it opened for the non-profit organization I work for. In addition, I've recently started using their Optical services when I lost coverage in my insurance. on 5/7/15, I came back from my home in the city to realize that I had left both my contacts and my glasses back in Philly. I wouldn't be able to get to them until almost a week later. I went to the Optical department as a last resort and begged Megan to help me out. She was in a tight spot since the doctors went on vacation that day and she had little authorization for what she wanted to do for me. She actually called the doctors on their vacation and made sure I got the contacts I needed to hold me over. She was never rude or made me feel like I was a huge liability/inconvenience, which I knew I was. She even let me use the doctor's office to put in my contacts. Without her I wouldn't even be able to write this review, thanking her for what she did for me! Megan, I am SO grateful! read more

This revue is strictly about the Optical Department as I am still squinting to see my computer, tv menu or anything at somewhat of a distance. Stopped in at the Limerick Pottstown yesterday morning and everyone was full of Christmas cheer and helpful as usual. NOT! It was more like the store hired a bunch of Scrooge's and Elves with bad attitudes. Now to be clear it was not everyone there but there were at least 3 individuals who get the Grinch award. It started with a trip to the vision center as I was returning a pair of glasses I ordered. I was returning them due to several reasons such as they did not fit or feel comfortable (even after attempts of having them adjusted), I did not have clear vision and the last straw was when the nose piece fell off even though I did not wear them that much. The individual doing the return seemed to take it personally as they tried to save the sale by telling me that the nose piece could be fixed and things like this happen. Not sure which side of the bed they got up on but they can't save a sale when they give the customer attitude so I said that's fine and reiterated the other reasons for the return and tried not to give attitude back. Even when my wife approached she could sense, feel and see this persons bad attitude and looked at me like "what's wrong with this individual"? Then as I was walking through the aisles I heard a leader correct and berate one of the individuals who hands out samples because they did not set up where they were supposed to which could cause a problem but you deal with it in a professional and respectful manner. Finally, as we were leaving the store my wife saw something just as we exited and she stopped to take a quick look. The lady who verified you are leaving with what you paid for was fine but another individual came in with a motorized shopping cart and gave her the third degree as if she had done something wrong. Even the worker who compares your receipt to what you bought had a look of disbelief on her face. Seeing how unprofessional their employees were and how an individual who treats employees in an unprofessional manner has me considering if I am going to renew my membership. read more

Likes: Big, beautiful store with some low-cost items. Dislikes: Closes earlier than most stores. Several times we went there when all the other stores were open, only to find that they had closed. High prices on many items. They sometimes sell junk, for a high profit margin. Many of their electronics are second-rate. They sell large quantities of high-fat, mass-produced items. My family has taken to calling it FATCO. The gas station is run by the Nazis. I entered the station the opposite way, with no one around, and the attendant came out yelling at us. read more

I love this place! This Costco is always so clean well managed with nice and helpful employees! They practically do the research and shop for you when it comes to product selection. The selection is limited but is properly chosen at the highest quality!! Tires sales alone will pay for your membership (Michelin is the best!) COME HERE for your MEDICATIONS. Pottstown Costco is worst costco ever - called to find out if they have flea control for cats in stock (which would have saved me a long drive) and to my surprise none of the options for the automated phone system are for general customer assistance. Can't even get to the service desk by dialing zero - like normal - as the automated phone system says "option not recognized". They simply don't want phone calls. I chose one of the options (eyeglass department) and asked them to transfer me to the service desk - "no can do". Needless to say, I won't be using this costco (visiting here from Tampa - which has much better customer service - and better phone options). However, after talking with a few people at this Costco, I might re-think my options and drop my Costco membership alltogether - they were that rude! This review is about Costco Optical Dept. Everyone needs to understand the mark-up on eye glass frames is ridiculous. Costco is one of the most reasonably priced optical stores and number one in prescription lenses purchases. I can tell you I have researched all optical stores and not one other than Walmart can come close to offering the best progressive pricing. Not only is the lens progressive but it is polycarbonate,glare and scratch resistant about $15 or a few dollars more over the $139.So when all the optical store are telling you to come in for a buy one get one free or second one 50% off, guess what they marked up the cost of the first pair so high that it's still ridiculously expensive like about $450 or more and they don't include progressive or any decent frame. They are all misrepresent what they are offering and it's a big marketing ploy to get customers to walk through the door. Costco hirers talented, friendly, skilled optical sales people who are honest and educated to help you buy and choose the best frames and lens.Do your prework, homework, before going into other optical stores,like Lens Crafters, Pearl; Vision, Vision Works etc,these are corporate owned optical stores and will rip you off. They all mark up frames, prescription lens almost 200% you need to take out a loan to get a pair of glasses. Your also paying for all their advertising, employees beautiful decor. I am a Costco addict and this is the best warehouse store I've been to. Staff is friendly and I rarely ever have to wait to check out. I can maneuver my cart without worrying that I'm going to cause a crash. There is almost always a huge number of food samples, which is not the case at the King of Prussia warehouse. I live closer to the KOP Costco, and this one is well worth the extra drive for me just for the lower stress level. Also, there is a gas station, which is on average 10 cents cheaper than outside gas stations (sometimes less, sometimes about the same, but NEVER more). Check it out! read more
