I've been a Costco member since this store opened and had always been very happy with the service there until I tried to purchase two phones through their wireless sales kiosk. The sales associate Austin was very friendly, but made an error concerning available promotions. When the promotion he thought was applicable didn't go through electronically at the kiosk, he assured me that the promotion would be honored regardless. I left the store feeling confident that he would keep his word; that was on Sunday (10-25-2020). I didn't hear back until Tuesday when Austin informed me via text that he had misread the promotion and that I would need to return the phones I purchased and had spent days setting up, and instead receive financed phones that would be shipped to me from T-Mobile several days later for the promotion he promised to be valid. So much for the promise to stand by the terms of the sale. I told him that I did not want to spend any more of my time dealing with his mistake. His manager Brandon contacted me by phone later that day. I explained to him that I did not feel like my time was being appreciated and that I expected better customer service than just being told that I would have to jump through more hoops to correct his employee's mistake. Brandon said that he would escalate the issue to his management to see what could be done, and that I could expect a reply as soon as the next 24 hours from them. No response Wednesday. Thursday afternoon comes around, so I reach out to Brandon again who tells me he has had no response yet from his management team. Friday afternoon (today) rolls around, and by this time I'm wondering why I have to be the one to check in with Brandon instead of him contacting me with an update. When I call he tells me again in a unapologetic tone that he still hasn't heard from his management. Not long after that I conversation I finally get a call from Mike, the district manager for Wireless Advisors (the company that runs the Costco wireless kiosk) who informs me that to be eligible for the promised promotion I would indeed have to waste time jumping through the hoops previously outlined by Austin on Tuesday. He asked what compensation I would accept for the lost time. I explained that the compensation wasn't important, that all I really wanted was good service. Good service would've been connecting me with someone who would fix the employees mistake quickly without asking me to jump through more hoops to do so. Mike then explained that he and Brandon have done everything they were supposed to do and that it was unreasonable for me to expect more timely service or a more acceptable outcome because of the volume of issues that he and his team is expected to deal with and the constraints imposed on them by the mobile carriers. I work in the service industry myself, and I would never in a million years let a mistake on the part of my team be handled like that. As soon as I was aware of the problem I would immediately honor the conditions of the agreement without asking more from my clients or making excuses about why it took me so long to respond. This is completely unacceptable customer service. Update Friday, 10-30-2020 @7:30pm: I went back to Costco to return the phones and my wife and I explained to Brandon that we were going to file a complaint about what amounted to a bait-and-switch to the BBB. Brandon then phoned Mike who finally agreed to honor the promised promotional price. We were sent an email while we were at the store promising a check would be issued for the difference in price within one month. This is what should have happened in the first place - not 5 days and hours of arguing later. read more

I love Costco. So many great savings on everything. Especially good for frozen foods and toiletries because they come in such large quantities. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh. They offer a great variety of fresh meats including seafood. I always like going on the weekends when there are many samples available. Another great perk is the gasoline! This gets a solid five star rating because I might be in love with Costco. Aside from the awesome things they do for their employees, they offer some pretty sweet deals. As long as you don't mind buying in bulk and paying for the yearly membership, I think you'll enjoy this place too. The electronics department has a HUGE variety of televisions, computer goods, and other various deals. In the middle aisles, you'll find the seasonal items that change every so often. Clothing from here has been of nice quality and at pretty good prices. The food sections are amazing and you get free samples of stuff throughout the area - which I love. Not just because they're delicious and free, but because you actually get to try some of the products that you may wonder about. There's also a vision, hearing, pharmacy, and tire center at this location. If you sign up for the Executive Membership, you also get deals on travel, car rental discounts, and more. I had it last year, and didn't really see a big benefit for me to keep it so I went back in to talk with their customer service. I received a refund for the difference between the Exec level and Basic level, since I didn't earn enough back to make up the difference between the two levels and I was set back to the basic level. No questions asked. They're pretty awesome and always friendly at this place. Oh! And before I forget, there's also a liquor section just before you go into the main building entrance. Here, you can find some great deals on wines and other spirits, and even some fancy imports if you don't mind paying for them. Love this place! read more

Hands down the best fuel prices in Lexington. Their 93 octane holds up great with my German automobiles, as they require premium fuel. They have a wonderful liquor store attached and the location couldn't be better from my house. Sunday hours are my only gripe. read more

First of all, I really like this place. It is new, and I'll raise the rating - maybe. I love the idea of a warehouse store that pays it's employees a living wage... with full REAL benefits (even for the part timers!) I love that they don't cut employees hours to keep them as part timers. I love that they will advance employees, regardless of race or sex. Ok, I love the idea of this place. It gets very busy, sometimes, so I can accept less than instant service, sometimes. The employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. Hey, it looks like they enjoy their jobs; at least they seem to enjoy working there. The selections are great. They have just about any appliance, toy, clothing item, or food item I could ever want. I think they even sell cars; I know they sell motorcycles. The prices are comparable to Sam's. I'm sure they both have items that are less expensive than the other - - I don't care. I'm going to shop at Costco if only for the reasons stated above. Seriously Lexington, treat your neighbor right. I probably should give them 5stars, but I don't want to jinx them. My wife and I visited on a Sunday and it was extremely crowded. We were greeted warmly at the door. The atmosphere is definitely unique. Harsh fluorescent drop lights dominate the space. I can only assume the goal is some sort of industrial chic look, but for us, give us the good old soft lighting, some ferns, and wood-grain finishes. Our first course was the organic beef jerky, cheerfully served by Maggie in Aisle 2. It was the perfect consistency, moist but with a nice chew. Excellent beginning. Course 2 was the roasted chicken with parmesan crust located near the frozen foods, served by Elaine. While we both would have been happy with a bit more cheese, the chicken itself was moist and flavorful, with perhaps a hint of rosemary...? Course 3 was the skillet potatoes, served with a smile by Eric over near produce. The potatoes were not sufficiently crunchy for our liking. They were well-seasoned, but their soggy texture left us both disappointed. Finally, we finished our afternoon in the Home Goods section with Course 4, chocolate nut bars, served by Sarah. While they were delicious, the lack of imagination in their presentation was underwhelming. All four courses were offered in the same, simple paper cup. We're giving Costco three stars. The service style is unique (think progressive dinner without going anywhere), but there is a lot of commotion going on, which detracted from our dining experience. And do I even need to discuss the minuscule portions? I get the whole trendy small-portion thing, but if they want to go that way, at least put some micro-greens, basil foam or edible flowers on top so it doesn't look like someone's giving you a muffin cup containing what they dropped on the floor during dinner. Dinner for 2 was $127.62. Will probably return, however, as we go through a LOT of toilet paper. read more

Love this place. Most people know about this store. One little known fact is how the meats are and cost, you can't beat it. They are the perfect for your grills. We stoped by before Memorial Day for our cook out on Monday. We bought 4 ribeyes about 1.5 inches thick and bought a 5 pack of thick New York Strips. I paid $42 for the rib eyes and $45 for the New York Strips. That's about $9.00 for each steak. They were so tender and tasty. Just trout I would pass this along for all you foodie grilled. I am currently a member of both Costco and Sam's. I think your preference will really depend on what you are shopping for. There are several things I like about Costco: availability of healthy items like almond flour and coconut oil, Kirkland brand meats, good deals on small appliances and household items. One thing I don't care for at Costco: the crowd! I can't get over how busy it is on the weekend, and the layout of the parking lot makes no sense to me. Also, there are several items I am used to purchasing at Sam's that I just haven't found at Costco: Xyzal (antihistamine), Nasonex (allergy nasal spray) - the allergy meds are a big deal to me - Sycamore Farm chicken salad, bagged iceberg/Romaine salad, and bagged cole slaw mix. Both Costco and Sam's have great rotisserie chickens and a vast array of prepared ready-to-eat items. For myself, Sam's is my preference but if you live near the Hamburg area, Costco is a good place to make bulk purchases. read more

I joined Costco with my Mom. They already had a Sam's membership. We walked around the first time just to check it out. It does seem a tad smaller than the Sam's on New Circle, but there is something I can't exactly put my finger on that I do like better about Costco. It may be that the employees all generally seem happy. I've heard they pay and treat their employees well and so that probably will transfer on in their customer service. They had plenty of the food sample/cooking displays set up more so than Sam's does. Everything I tried was good. Their Kirkland brand seems to be really good. I tried their chocolate chips and they were just as good as Nestle. You can't do much better than Nestle chips. Their Prices were cheaper on some things and more on others, but that is to be expected. They have a gas station for members only and usually the lowest gas prices. They also have a pharmacy which on a few of the medicines I've checked they have been quite a bit lower than other pharmacies. You can also plan trips through them and save, as well as insurance, tires, eye glasses,etc. They have a food court up front where you can get a hot dog and 20 oz drink for $1.50. Can't beat that! So all in all I've been really impressed with Costco so far. read more

Costco is Lexington's newest wholesale/retailer and it is too bad that I just renewed my Sam's Club membership in September because my Sam's membership and Costco's minimum $55 membership is a bit too much for my family of three. I went in a just looked around and was surprised to see Michael Kors, Prada, Whirlpool, Maytag and Dewalt which are some of the name brands that are sold at Costco and not at Sam's. The food court has great pizza and hotdogs and the berry smoothie is so delicious! I treat myself to the churros or ice creAm every once in a while! I love Costco. Gotta be honest, this is becoming a favorite place to shop. At first, when I heard we were getting one, I didn't understand the big deal. So it would be like another Sam's Club? We already had one of those in town, and I was NOT impressed when we tried it once. However, my dad bought us a membership to Costco as a Christmas present. He'd already had a membership and said we should try it. Wow. This place is awesome. First, it's great for groceries. They've got a great selection of high-quality groceries at very low prices. If you're big on eating organic, they can definitely work with you. They've got the best prices for organic beef I've seen. They also make tasty bagels at a very good price, and the take-and-bake pizzas are good too. We go to Costco about once a week now for groceries. You can get almost anything at Costco it seems, and is cheaper than most other places, and good quality. The service is outstanding as well. Costco is apparently famous for taking good care of its workers. It shows, employee morale there is very high, their workers are friendly, attentive and seem to actually care about doing a good job. They have a little food counter at the front selling pizzas and hot dogs and such for rock-bottom prices, way, way cheaper than any fast-food place. If alcohol is your thing, they also have a very nice liquor store with good prices on high quantities of good stuff. They also have a gas station for their members, with some of the lowest prices in town. A Costco membership is worth every penny. I heartily recommend it. read more

By far the lowest prices and the staff is terrific. They are helpful and quite knowledgeable guiding you to find the best fit. So many brand options. Costco carries so many things that I use on a regular basis. I love it. Gas prices are fantastic and w/ the American Express Costco Card I earn a larger percentage back. Glasses and frames are a fantastic price. Lots to choose from and my kids were thrilled to get name brand frame and I was thrilled by the price. My only gripe is the sample stations. Its the people who stop in the middle of isle to hold up traffic to five minutes while they act like their at a buffet. No. People. Just. No. Here is a great idea. If you want to snack, move your buggy and yourself out of the way of others. Step in, grab your grub and go back to your cart. For the love of all that is holy, DO NOT HOVER! Let me start by saying, "I love Costco!" It's a miracle if I walk out of Costco and don't spend $200! We get almost all of our beef, chicken and pork here. Yeah, you get a lot, but you just stick what you don't need in the freezer and thaw it when you do need it. We buy just about everything here; clothes, TP, gifts, gift cards, tools, etc. It is great! We also buy a lot of our gasoline here. I laugh at how empty the lines are and the prices are $0.10-0.15 cheaper than most places in town. In L.A., you can't find a Costco that doesn't have a line of 5-10 cars in each lane. If there's 4 people at the pumps in Lexington, that's a lot! Visited this Costco in Lexington while passing through town, and for some reason, I LOVED this branch. I really liked the layout of the warehouse and the merchandise they carried. Perhaps it's close to New Year, there were some great exercise equipment on sale at really good prices. We bought a Bosu, which we've been wanting to get for a while. I am always so impressed by this Costco. It is always clean and tidy, and their employees are always engaging and helpful. They offer plentiful samples on weekends, and even have various sales. We can almost always find what we need, and staff and happy to help you submit requests for items you wish they had in stock.
