Costco is where it's at! Literally I hate grocery shopping so I come to Costco once or twice a month and get everything I need. Veggies and such we get at a local market so it doesn't go bad but everything else we need is at Costco and gas is always cheaper! I like trying new things and Costco seems to do a really good job at having a variety of good products for a better price. Also, the wine is totally worth it. Be prepared to spend money when you enter this store. I rarely can leave this Costco without dropping at least $100 and up. This place has great products and the best part about this store and any Costco for that matter is that Costco stands behind its products, you can return most products and they give you a store refund to purchase another one. The staff is helpful and checkout is usually quick in spite of the daunting lines. I recommend Costco if you are looking for a company that stands behind the products they sell as well as offering a large selection of products. read more

This review is for the Brandon location. This particular location is superb. While it can be busy on the weekends with long lines and loaded carts, the weekdays are quiet and I can easily spend an hour walking through the aisles. The employees here are exceptionally friendly and courteous. Whenever we need help with getting heavy items in our vehicle, there is always someone to help us within minutes of us asking the receipt checkers or CS desk. Whenever we need help with retrieving a large item that isn't directly on the floor (such as when they have furniture, they often store extras on the top shelves of the aisles), we're always promptly helped and the item is pulled down as quickly as one can expect the process should take. The butchers have no problems stopping to talk to you - same thing with the folks in the bakery department. My favorite thing is that they will mark down seasonally items drastically when there's 1-2 left. Because this particular store isn't extremely busy, this happens quite often to furniture (indoor and outdoor) as well as decor and I've scored some fantastic deals. read more

It's an OK Costco. It's a pain to check out. Check-out lines are long and just a few. They need to bring self-check out lanes immediately. I usually make multiple trips to Costco and buy 3-4 items. I do not need to be waiting forever to check out. read more

A box of 12 single pizza's was purchased from this location today. I didn't realize that the box had been previously opened and taped. Also, 12 pizza's wasn't in the box. One pizza was missing. Won't be ever shopping at that location again! read more

Wish I could give no stars. Just spent 2 grand repairing AC installed for Costco by Florida Delta Mechanical in 2014. Improper tubing sizing to compressor ruined evaporator. Do not buy AC from anyone if it is installed by delta Mechanical. read more

Well what can I say about Costco. About what I would expect from this location. They have everything you would expect to be sold in bulk. Price wise is good. Only gripe I have is the lines can get really long when it gets busy but what would you expect. No self checkout anymore so you have to go to the same checkouts. I do love the samples they have when it's early. So as long as you have their membership this place is pretty decent. read more

Generous return policy. Only used a couple of times in past couple of yrs. Clean warehouse with helpful employees though on a weekend it's hard to find one. They are so busy; it's packed w/people from shoulder to shoulder! We always buy our chicken, pork, and steak from them. You can easily freeze the meat. Hubby and I do that so the meat doesn't spoil. A lot of great deals/coupons. Exceptional customer service. Manager refunded a product even though it was a final sale and exchanged it for another product. Even for the two of us, we have left spending $300. We find that gift certificates are a great deal. You can buy $80 Flemings gift certificate for $100. Easy to jack up bill with that kind of purchase though :/. Liquor store has wide selection. Quantity and quality is possible. We buy spiced rum, vodka, tequila, gin & tonic, 12 yr. Whiskey, etc. From the warehouse. Quality is very evident and so is quantity. I don't know how it gets better than that! We do have an executive membership and got back $150 last yr. And $150 from Amex which has now changed to Visa. The executive membership pays for itself! read more

Costco carries quality products at the best prices. The annual membership fee is usually recovered in the savings in 1 shopping trip. The only thing with this place is if you see a product you like...get it. Chances are it won't be there when you go back & no telling if they will get more. I love my Costco. read more

The tire department is horribly understaffed and unprofessional. I bought tires there and almost immediately one exploded and went flat. They replaced it, but then a different tire started leaking air. I took it there for them to repair it. After I took it home I found my tire completely flat the next morning. read more

The visit to this Costco was sort of a mash up between an episode of Friends and Seinfeld. Remember the one where I think it was Chandler that wanted to "quit the gym"? Well, today I quit "the" Costco. Seinfeld plays a part only because the situation is just so ridiculous. After having come to this location on numerous occasions, the lines almost always to the back of the store, the customer service lacking, all to spend my hard-earned money. Today, the lines were not so long but the customer service was incredibly bad and rude. I came into the store to purchase a few items for my home and also some other items for my business. At the checkout I separated the items on the conveyor belt, handed the cashier my card and started to pay for the items. The cashier abruptly interrupted my purchase and let me know I was not allowed to pay separately. I challenged her since being a long time Sam's Club member, there's never a question when I purchased items for my personal use on my personal card and my business items on, you guessed it, on my business card. She was very nasty in both her tone, facial expression and her attitude. She then turned and called over a gentleman, who I assumed to be the designated helper in these situations. I made a little joke when he came over and said "I broke the cardinal rules of the Costco by trying to pay with 2 separate cards" and asked him if he was going to revoke my card. The man had no sense of humor. He additionally made a comment which I can't quite remember what it was but something to the effect of we must enforce our rules. I let him know that I run a business and I totally understand if it was not me using the card and I had given it to someone else but this was not the case. I was so put off that after a quick visit to the snack bar for my son I proceeded to the membership counter. I approach the counter and there were four or five people huddled around one register. Clearly one of them was a manager. They looked up one of them asked if they could help me and I said and I quote "I want to quit the Costco" and handed over my card. I don't think I've ever seen faces so stunned in all of my life(start episode of friends here) seriously they had no idea what to say to me. I gave them my card and walked away. I went back to sit down with my son and the manager came over. He asked me to explain what had happened and i rehashed the entire situation ending with a statement that if the cashier had been my employee she wouldn't have a job. The manager was genuinely nice and listened. He asked if there was anything that he could do to change my mind. I told him there wasn't and to keep the card. He apologized, walked way and returned a few minutes later with a refund of the full amount of my membership. I was without a doubt socked.(why they are receiving 2 stars rather than one). I appreciate his sincere gesture but unfortunately it isn't enough to keep me as a customer. I have shopped in other Costcos in NJ and had not much better experiences. I do have one tiny bit of remorse though. The carry Cinnabon frozen gooey bites. If you haven't had them RUN right now and get some. They are frozen pull aparts that are the gooey center of Cinnabons except its a plate of them! OMG good. Sams club does not carry them, oh well, shot myself in the foot there but my butt probably didn't need them anyway: ) Carry on, Yelpers! read more

Don't buy here. They're very slow, over priced, and will not honor their warranties. I have a pair of tires with 20,000 of the warranted 60,000 miles on them that are excessively worn to almost bare and they will not honor their warranty. I'll never buy from them again. read more

The store has a surplus of items always at the lowest price. They even have cruises at a special price! I thoroughly enjoy going because every time I become a fan on something new that I get to try from a sample station. The $110 membership pays for the following year if you spend $200 a month. Great place to shop if you have a large family, going to have a party, or just have that extra storage space! It really is cheaper to buy it in bulk at Cosco! My current favorite purchase is the Amc movie tickets. They come out to be like $8 a ticket so you save a few bucks when you go to the theater! My husband and I just recently opened a Costco card at the Brandon location about a week ago. We decided today to bring our kids in and shop for the first time and before we could even make it in the building we were disappointed! I understand that if it is a membership only place you should show that you are a member, I don't have a problem with that. However, if that is the rule let it be consistent with everyone coming in. But while we were getting our cards out to show the lady other people were just walking in no questions asked and no cards in hand! We walked in and stood near the door to watch at least 5 other people come in without showing a card or being asked to. We can't help but feel that we were asked strictly on the fact that we are a mixed couple! Please tell me, what other reason would this happen if not because of race. read more

We love this Costco! We moved from Vermont where there is only one Costco in the state. Luckily we were within a 30 minute drive and became Costco fans!! When we moved to Florida and started the house-hunting process, we did so knowing we wanted Costco to be close by. We bought our home in Brandon literally less than 2 miles from the store! This Costco sells gas (our VT store did not) and it's very reasonably priced. The meats and seafood are priced well and are of high quality. If you are a fruit lover, you can get more bang for your buck at Costco buying an 18oz package of blueberries for $2.99 versus twice that much in some local grocery stores. Can you buy some items cheaper elsewhere? Of course! But, like every shopper out there, you need to make wise decisions about whether a bulk purchase is for you or whether you might find the same item cheaper elsewhere. Personally, I love the Healthy Choice Fudge bar (esp. in the summer!) and you can get a package of 24 for just under $10, whereas in the grocery store, you're going to pay $3.99 for a package of 6 ($16 for 24 versus $10 at Costco!) Processed foods ---there's plenty of that there if that's what you like. We purchase fresh meats, seafood, produce, and dairy all while sampling items that we might not otherwise eat or want to have in the house on a regular basis. There's always something for those who don't have time or want to cook...the rotisserie chicken is awesome - great flavor ! There's plenty of parking and the store is clean and well stocked! My husband and I go at least once per week and sometimes twice! The only con I have is that you never know how long they might carry an item. If you find something 'new' that you've not seen there before and you like it, stock up because they may only carry it short-term. read more

Today my husband and I went to the Costco in Brandon, FL on Causeway to pick up a few groceries. It was a Sat. around 3pm and the store was packed. From the time we got into the check out line, it took us 35 minutes until we had checked out. But if that wasn't bad enough, the reason I'm writing this review is due to what we experienced in the next long line while waiting to get out the door. You know, that line you have to wait in to show your receipt to the person who is making sure you're not stealing anything... Well there were two lines going out the door maybe ten carts deep, lined up all of the way to the food concession area. When we finally got to the front of the line, the woman glanced at our receipt and ran the marker through it. Then as we were about to move on she says, "Wait." and she starts counting the items in our cart and the items on the receipt. So we patiently waited. This took her about five minutes of trying to read the receipt and compare it to the items in our cart. Now let me tell you, we bought groceries - paper towels, tp, water, and a couple of items of clothing. We're NOT talking electronics or jewelry or any high ticket items. Then she finally locates the piece of clothing that apparently the cashier had missed. At this point I was so annoyed that I didn't even want to go through the effort of going back and paying for the clothing. I gave it to the woman and told her to keep it and we left. I am starting to think that the long wait and the large quantities that you typically have to buy at Costco are not worth the pennies you save. Next time, I'll go to Target or Publix. Maybe I'll pay a few cents more, but I won't have to go through an ordeal like this. Honestly, it was so comical it was like a scene from a comedy or sitcom. The wireless center is really bad, associates see you there waiting for help and there are just on their phone, then the information they provide not the same as the prior date, very dissapointed because I really like this Costco but will not purchase a phone here ever. read more

Costco has the worst customer service I have EVER dealt with before!!! I purchased a pallet of Fresh Step Extreme 40 lbs bag so that is 35 bags of litter. As told to drive around back and they would load me up. Manager called the back stockroom i heard him tell them he needed 35 bags of litter to be loaded. I Waited 45 min while being told by fuel attendant they were coming out to load me. After 1 hour of waiting I went back up front either refund me or load me is my thinking right? So the manager came over took off with my receipt for another 15 min. Tells me they are coming upfront to load the pallet. After an additional 20 min of waiting now at 1 hour 40 min so far waiting on my order talking with 3 different managers still no litter. no apologies now tell me to drive around back again refused to refund my cash that I spent on this litter only to go around back to hear more lies about why they failed to do their job by saying they did not know. This is just simply unexcitable customer service period EVER! I would rather someone tell me the truth fess up then sit and lie like they did. They were simply rood about it as well. I'm currently seeking a different avenue of getting my 35 bags of litter and 8 bags of cat foods with 6 boxes of wet food for out cattery now. So by their poor attitudes and simply not caring they are loosing 1k a month in sales. read more

I love a good company that takes care of their employees like Costco does. The goods seem to be higher quality than Sams Club anyway. It's still a drive for me but luckily they are building one in Land O Lakes this year. The employees are very helpful and pleasant. Some of the greatest deals are with organic produce and meat. I save a good deal buying it here than somewhere like Whole Foods. I also save a good deal with personal care and health items. Who can beat a three pack of name brand Nasonex 120 sprays for about $26?! That was a great find but if they sold a Kirkland brand of it I would snap it up. They have great store brands at steep discounts. It may be better to shop on weekdays than weekends, because they're usually slammed and there are bottlenecks at the sample stations where zombie-like shoppers swoop down and grab everything. Saw a grown man almost lose his crap at a sample stand with Starbucks coffee, which was befuddling and somewhat amusing. read more
