WORST COSTCO EVER. Very upset that I even opened up a Costco card because sadly this is my closest location. I would definitely like to say that this Costco is NOT POC FRIENDLY WHATSOEVER! The workers here will stare you down to the point where you feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. On top of that, whenever I go to "self checkout", the worker that's present at the moment WILL ALWAYS SCAN ALL MY STUFF AS IF I ASKED THEM TO. If I wanted a worker to scan my stuff for me, I would've just went to the regular checkout aisle. Lastly, I am ALWAYS held up to leave the store. IT LITERALLY NEVER FAILS. The worker who checks out your groceries before leaving, ALWAYS TRIPLE CHECKS MY CART & STARES AT ME LIKE A CRIMINAL AS THEY DO IT. The customer service here is THE WORST. Full dosclosure, I don't have a Costco membership- I tag-a-long with my mom on a pretty much weekly basis. So much so, that a lot of the employees that work here have known me since I was about 14. And they're all so nice! Even the people that are new are friendly and helpful and always have a smile. Like, way friendlier than the other Costcos in Denver. There are samples galore! And it's easy to come in and just spend an hour wandering around and staring at all the stuff you don't need but somehow find you can't live without. Somehowtheir flower arrangements are just more beautiful than they have any right to be, which surprises me every time. And the seasonal ones are always fun. read more

Great for bulk items such as toilet paper, paper towels, drinks and food. My TV came from Costco and one of the employees gave me his opinion on the best brand for my budget and size requirements. I ended up with a 47" LG smart TV and have been thrilled with it. They also offer cheaper gas than most gas stations. For payment you can only use debit cards, cash or AMEX. It is helpful, though, that Costco has a partnership with AMEX so you earn points on all purchases, gas and a few other items. read more

If you've shopped at Costco, you generally know what to expect. Long lines and crazy people at peak times, bulk buys, good deals, sprawling parking lots, and a never ending line for their gas pumps. This one is just "meh" even with that expectation. Out of every Costco that I've visited in the area, this is probably my least favorite. The interior layout is weird, the clientele and employees always seem generally grumpy, and the parking lot has ZERO buffer space between spots which seem skinny to begin with. Many, many people here in Colorado have larger vehicles. If you don't have a larger vehicle, you're going to have to open those sedan doors pretty freaking wide to get that new TV into your backseat. Why are these spots so small? The parking lot is always full too. I have a truck, so I'm 90% guaranteed to almost always be parking next to the fuel station across the entire lot. Not a big deal, but in general parking seems to be the highlight of the hassle here aside from the selections. Maybe it's just me, but this Costco seems to lack some of the slightly wider variety that you might find at any other Denver metro location. They have most everything you're looking for, unless you're looking for something that you saw at another store. If that's the case, go back to the other store. Not a deal breaker to me either: this seems to be the only one in the area that does not have an attached liquor store. Room for improvement: Bigger smiles, re-stripe your parking lot. Bonuses: This location has recently put in a self checkout option. I try to shop Costco for a lot of basics. I'm not going to stand in line for 10 minutes to checkout to save $1 on some chicken. For those 10 items or less kind of stops, now you can breeze right through which is half the battle. GOOD WORK ON THIS ONE!!! Huge plus! read more

I can't not even begin to explain my terrible experience today. Every associate we came in contact with was extremely disrespectful. I understand this is a stressful time for everyone. That does not mean you get to treat people like crap. We spent over $400 here today, you'd think you would treat your customers better. One employee made a derogatory comment about me, another yelled at me about getting into the self checkout line when I repeatedly told her I did not want self checkout. Manager was nice when I called to complain. I get that people are stressed working during the age of Covid, but that doesn't mean make condescending remarks or not listen. I love Costco! I used to live in this neighborhood so it's still my go to Costco for everything. I love the produce. My family goes through tons of it, so it's easier for me to buy in bulk here.We have bought 2 tvs as well as tablets and ipods. They have great deals on electronics. We order the pizza to go quite frequently. $10 for a huge pizza?! Yes, I'll take it every time! I see a lot of comments about employees not making conversation or chatting with customers. Really? I have been a Costco member since 2008. My Costco membership was expired by 4 days, was never given a heads up by Costco, nor my annual refund from my purchases. When asked for clemency for this one purchase while I wait for my refund check to be sent back out, the floor supervisor looked me up and down, smirked and said no. read more

Costco is a great deal. The rebate on my purchases about pays for my membership. Meantime, I get about 40 percent off most purchases. This makes it difficult to shop in other places like Walmart. Costco usually has a good selection of new books at half-price, comparable to Amazon. Check-out is efficient. Forget Sams. read more

I'm quite annoyed and pissed at ONE person here. That short white chick with brunette hair, I think she wore glasses and REALLY can't yell. So it starts with us ordering at the kiosk and then sitting to wait to be called. We waited 30minutes watching a mess/chaos of getting correct orders out and people trying to hear their number being called. We went up to see why there were now numbers being served after ours. She snarkily said she called our number but we didn't show up. Ok 1) we had been listening since the moment we got our tickets 2) EVERYONE was confused hearing for their number (except the lady handing out the full pizzas, SHE made sure the number was known!), 3) why the hell would you call us up to say you don't have something...AFTER we watched a whole pizza that I requested be made, cut up, and served to everyone else 4) tried to make it OUR fault for not being able to hear a voice that probably only dogs could hear. This one poor lad kept running to the counter any time a number was called...she even called him to tell him his stuff wasn't ready. He looked so tired from this back and forth. Seriously Costco. Hire someone better. She made a bigger problem and struggle for that whole dept that was a such a simple task. Fire her or have her not deal with customers. Rude. read more

This review is specifically for the Tire Center. I had ordered tires from the Costco website that, due to my aftermarket wheel size, were the wrong size for my car. Add to that the fact that my tires were delayed by several days and you get a huge, frustrating mess. The team at the Tire Center - and specifically Megan - went out of their way to help me out. Megan contacted me by phone a number of times with updates, and when we discovered the order error, found me a set that was in stock and the correct size. I got a refund for the incorrect order and only had to pay the difference in price. She salvaged a bad situation with excellent customer service and I very much appreciate it. read more

A month ago I bought a dishwasher, I took the day off and they did not show up because their third party reschedule and nobody take some time to communicate with the client (me). It took 21 calls and some days off to get it delivered and installed. Today I went to this location. With my membership card and my husbands cc and they did not allowed me to buy because my husband was not with me. The way we pay for our expenses is nobody's businesses as long as I have my own membership card. Very disappointed with Costco. read more

I'm a Costco Junkie! I used to shop at a Costco-like store in PA and would end up with so much stuff I didn't even know I needed. The same can be said for Costco, if you go in with a list I guarantee you'll leave with at least one item that wasn't on the list. It's an addiction, don't worry most of us have this addiction. Here are a few things I like to shop for: Toilet paper for the year Canned tomatoes - 8 cans at a time Toilet bowl cleaner - you can never have enough Banana's by the pound - how fast can you really eat 5 lbs.? Lettuce by the box Dog crate For one person living, Costco is probably not worth it, but two person living and up, Costco has its advantages. When throwing parties, you can't beat the prices on their meat and produce. And if you have kids, Costco is mandatory. Come with an empty car and fill it up with every household essential and nonessential you need. read more

I want to clarify that this review does not apply to Costco as a whole; I LOVE Costco and recommend joining over Sam's Club or BJs. This review pertains specifically to the Aurora location. My husband and I visited one Saturday to join. As AMEX card holders, we had a special offer for a Costco tote filled with Kirkland product samplers. Not a huge deal by any means, but we thought "Hey, cool. You can never go wrong with free samples." We wait about 20 minute in line to be helped at the customer service desk. The sales clerks made no eye contact with us whatsoever, and while I understand that Saturdays are busy, we didn't feel welcomed or wanted at all. We forgot about the free tote until just before we were about to leave. It took 5 minutes to get our sales clerk's attention (she'd already wandered off somewhere else), and when we did, she threw a bag at us and said, "This is what you get." We were so taken aback at her rudeness that we just walked away. It wasn't worth arguing over, but I will never go back to that Costco again. None of the sales people we met were kind - every single one was rude to us AND to other customers (we witnessed this while waiting in line). Next time I go to Costco, I'll pick another location. I am a big fan of Costco. This one, however, is not quite as nice as most of the other ones in the Denver metro area. Most likely, this is just due to its popularity and the sheer customer volume. I had not been here for a couple years, and my recent visit was fair. On the one hand, they had plenty of checkout lines open, so that part went smoothly. On the other hand, it was a Friday afternoon, and the place was fairly busy. I like free samples as much as the next person, but the placement and popularity created a constant series of bottlenecks as I attempted to move throughout the store, and that was extremely irritating. Selection was good, as usual. The people working the checkout were friendly, but some of the workers I met on the floor seemed less than happy. read more

Who doesn't love 15 pounds of delicious beef jerky!?! Costco, as many have previously mentioned, is a big box store with literally everything you could ever want and more. Most always is everything is huge bulk, so buyer beware, unless you are needing 5000 batteries or a lifetime supply of toilet paper, this may not be the place for you. Everything else aside, Costco does have some pretty good deals when it comes to everyday staples in ones diet. Every now and then, they will have some really killer looking T-bones or beef tenderloin, which you just gotta jump on. Around the holidays they also pull out all of the stops and offer some tasty deals on seafood and other special holiday fare. Costco is also pretty good for medicine in bulk too. I've found that I can buy a year's worth of allergy medicine (365 pills) for around $10. Now you really can't beat that in my opinion. If you often find yourself having to go to the store multiple times to buy the same thing, Costco is for you my friend. One stop and I guarantee you will be set up for a while. read more

Costco, how I love thee. Many may complain, but honestly, Costco is a big box store. What I love and despise about Costco is that you get hooked on a product and a few months later, it may no longer be available. We buy many staples here, but also tend to buy certain groceries at the grocery store, toiletries @ WalMart or Target. Each stores has its place on my shopping list. We certainly don't need everything in bulk, as we are a household of 3. However, there are certain things that we purchase in abundance, toilet paper tissue, paper towels, salmon burgers, laundry detergent, instant organic oatmeal, vitamins and supplements. Lately, we've been in love with our Kirkland towels. The gas prices are highly competitive, often much cheaper than many other places. And the food court has great (read: cheap) prices on its Kosher beef hot dogs. For under $2, you can get a hot dog and a soda. The pizza is pretty good too and don't forget the $1 churro and the berry freeze! Have fun the next time you go shopping at Costco. Don't forget to go on a weekend when you can have lunch through the wonder that is called "sampling", LOL. read more

I love Costco. I shop at Costco regularly. However, the Havana st location in Aurora, CO is terrible. I was just there to return something yesterday and was berated by an employee who screamed at me for going to the return desk. She asked me to show my membership card. I explained that I was headed over to return something but I could show her my membership card if needed. Then she rudely told me that returns were "over there" where I was clearly heading. There were several people exiting and I was trying to walk around them to get to the return desk and apparently I wasn't moving quickly enough. She was rude and it was completely unnecessary. I will not be going back to this Costco. This is not the first time an employee at this Costco has been rude. It seems to be a constant issue there. I have never has such a terrible experience at a Costco. In fact, typically, I've found their employees to be courteous, helpful, and very friendly. But I don't need to be abused. I hope Costco management sees this review and they institute some retraining. It ruined my Saturday and made me regret deciding not to drive 10 minutes to Costco at Riverpoint which is always a great experience. It's Costco, products/selection/quality are as expected. But the sample people are so rude! Yesterday i was there with my toddler son and infant daughter and there was a lady cutting muffins for samples. I walked by and smiled and grabbed one piece to share with my son and the lady shouted at me, "you know, they're here for you to buy, they're for sale too!" Like it hurt her feelings that I didn't grab some muffins and put them in my cart. Another time I overheard a customer ask a sample lady if the product she was preparing was vegan and she snapped at her, "I don't know, is flour vegan? Are eggs vegan? If you are not a hot dog fan (shame on you if you aren't LOL) There are large delicious salads and chicken bakes, and wait for it...... Chocolate dipped ice cream bars and churros. If the lunch plate is not what you are looking for then so be it. Costco offers food in spades and cheap books and movies too. It's Costco, but this one is slightly better than most I've been to. I visit here weekly to help our office administrator get supplies (drinks, paper goods, coffee supplies, etc.) for work. What I really like about this location, at least during the daytime, is that they're adequately staffed (as many are not) so you don't wait for more than 5 minutes in the checkout line. They have the same tasty samples as all Costcos do, which is always a plus for our weekly shopping excursion. The only negative about this location, and maybe all do this but I've never noticed because I've never gone so frequently, is that stuff moves every week. Coffee is on one aisle one week and 3 aisles away the next. All sodas move around a 5 aisle radius like a wily slotmachine so it's always a search to find the things we buy every week. read more

I love Costco I can find anything I need there but in bulk making it last longer than what you get at target. There is always samples that let you try what is on sale or something new. I always buy my chicken nuggets there they have options that I can try at affordable prices. I buy all my Christmas gifts there they have isles of toys and gifts. Fun place to shop. Products you like come and go--no consistency. You need to know your prices on produce items before shopping. Sometimes their produce items are more expensive than local supermarkets; other times Costco has the best price. They are terrific in standing behind their goods if there are problems or if there is a need to return an item. It is like shopping in a United Nations store. You can hear nearly every language in the world when shopping. read more

I hate this costco. It's the old layout. Checkout is cramped and hard to get through, the rows are small. The popular areas get cramped and it's hard to move around. And what i usually get at my costco they were out of. Sigh. On the plus, the check out fella was amazingly sweet and happy - made my exit very nice! Costco warehouse: 4 stars Costco gasoline: 3 stars Costco pharmacy: -5 stars The staff here has always been extremely friendly and the cashiers are fast. No complaints. There is always a long wait for gas and they seem to have at lease one pump station closed but the wait isn't as bad as it is in California. What drove me to writing this review is how horrible the pharmacy is. I've never had a decent experience with them, much less a positive one. I was quoted $88 for heart worm medication and when they rang me up, it was $96.60. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the pharmacy student had no idea why it was the case. I didn't think it worth my time to press further. They are always closed during lunch and that varies from day to day and isn't posted online, so it's a gamble if you're heading there around lunchtime. On two separate occasions, I've waited over an hour for them to come back from lunch. There's a little sign that says "opens at 00:00" and a whole gaggle of them come sauntering back from lunch, over 45 minutes after the time indicated on the sign, total disregard for the long line of people who have been waiting over an hour. Every single one of the pharm techs is dour and unhelpful, unable to answer simple questions like "is this the generic form of the drug?" This pharmacy doesn't even come close to upholding Costco corporations's standards. I don't know if this is a problem with this pharmacy taking advantage of Costco's good name, but I'm never sending my prescriptions here again. read more
