This bright and airy place is nestled in an edge of town pay to park shopping centre that really isn't worth visiting as it only has very few stores. Although I'm not long experienced with the brand I have noted a few times that unlike the Starbucks brand, the floors and chairs are clean so your shoes don't stick to the floor as you walk, the staff clean down the tables fairly promptly and they provide paying customers with a fairly good working WiFi. I've been to four different Starbucks in the last few weeks and it's clear that the franchisee has removed the facility. I'm delighted also to note that they will cheerfully give iced tap water on request without any need to charge for the vessel they opt to put the water into.

It's located in the Fairgreen shopping centre and is open pretty late (7 or 8pm). Also, you can make use of the free wifi from the shopping centre. The coffee is the same as any other Costa; very large coffee sizes, not too strong and generally more milky, so it's great for those that prefer mild or diluted coffee as opposed to a strong short blend. I find that they're flat whites are very milky and mild compared to specialist barista houses. However, they do great Cortados and the Cappuccinos are pretty good too. There is a large selection of sweet treats such as brownies, muffins, croissants, pastries etc. as well as savoury items such as sandwiches, porridge, yoghurt and ciabatta. The prices are cheaper than Starbucks (€2.45 for a small Americano, €2.90 for most other drinks). I find the coffee tastes a lot better as I'm more of a Costa person (not a fan of Starbucks), but in terms of volume and atmosphere, the two chains are comparable. The service is good, and they have skinny and soya milk alternatives available for no extra charge. Overall: Spacious, bright, free wifi, large coffee sizes and easy access.

Good coffee, great cakes and bakes which are very inexpensive compared to the likes of what you'd get in Costa or Starbucks, which are both a stones throw from the location of Ground, upstairs in the Next store. I would definitely come back here, there's loads of space and an abundance of tables to sit at and park your buggy if you have kids in tow. Also good kids play area in the corner to keep your little terrors amused while you top up your caffeine levels. Good toilets and baby change facilities also, if you require such facilities! Now having been around Ireland for 3 months my expectations were not very high. But I was blown away by the coffee was exceptional. The guy behind the bar was chatty and they used beans roasted in Ireland. Coffee Beans Roasted in Ireland for god sake. The country is going to hell. This coffee is well worth stopping for truly delicious and according to the guy making it it's voted second best in Dublin by no less a journal than the good auld Irish Times

The coffee is fairly standard across all Costas but the staff here are particularly friendly. My only gripe is that I got a muffin and it was stale, I would be careful of ordering pastries and muffins here again!

They don't mind my weird coffee preferences, and if there's something not quite right, they will always fix it. No questions asked. No nasty looks. I have a starbucks gift card/rewards card thing - I highly recommend getting one! If you make a certain number of purchases in a year you get free things; like free flavours, free extra shots of espresso, etc. After every 15 purchases you get a free drink, no stipulations...any size/any drink. It's great to meet friends and the food and baked treats are super yum!

Now called Atlas Unit 1 and run by Adam, this is one of the finest coffee shops I've ever visited. A wonderful aroma of the coffee hits you when you open the door. Adam loves to talk coffee and his passion is infectious. He also sources his cakes from the genius that is Wildflour Bakery. Soups and sandwiches are also of the highest quality. Brilliant.
