My friend had a salmon bagel which was fine by all accounts. The service was not great, the coffee was fine, the jacket potato was MICROWAVED, the cheddar on it wasn't melted. If I wanted a mediocre potato I would have microwaved it at home myself.

I wasn't sure it would be enough to fill me up, so I got the Halloumi/Sausage/Avocado Toast, too. Everything was great, especially, the tea! The Bad: The service wasn't very inviting nor was it attentive or even kind. I'm not sure of why our server/host was so abrasive, but he was. I didn't feel at all like I was in a cafe, but rather more like I was in the home of a host who was not expecting my arrival...in New York. Overall, this was a good change of pace and good tea. While I will applaud the food and tea, I can't suggest coming here without having rather low expectations regarding service and host attitude. Maybe it was just a bad day, and having one unpopular experience isn't fair to this location. As of today, I give the food/tea a "4" but the service gets a poor "2."

What a genius idea it was to name this flower shop after the classic 70s broken-hearted ballad! I doubt there is any better way to guilt people in to a shop than letting the words of Neil Diamond float around their heads for a while. If you don't bring your loved one flowers then 1) shame on you and 2) maybe you should visit this shop. It's not just flowers in here but a whole range of gifts and cakes. There is a small cafe at the back of the shop too where you can reward yourself after buying your loved one a nice present. Tea is served in beautiful china pots and their cakes are delicious. The flowers themselves are range from the very exotic to the more well known varieties and are all wrapped beautifully. Maybe it would be worth suggesting to my boyfriend that we move to Lewisham for him to get the hint and buy me something from here!

You know that it is a good place when you need to order another cup - which I did. It is a more bitter bean, but that is what I prefer. So yes I am a fan. Didn't really eat here - however, I did pick up a little tart and it was delicious! Soft and fresh, I couldn't find anything to flaw it. So this is going to be my regular stop in the mornings while I am here in London. As this was a perfect little place. However, there isn't much seating here so not sure how busy it will be during peak time. So be prepared.

Matt has outfitted an old van and operates as a mobile cart selling what was, IMHO, his coffee was the closest thing to a Seattle latte (where I live) that I came across in Europe. I don't believe that his stand is open all days at the Royal Victoria docks, but if he is there (and you will know he is because he has great on-site marketing), it would certainly be a worthwhile investment to stop by and grab a cuppa joe. Way better than any other options in the area, at least that we were able to discover.

I struggled with the plastic -y sandwich choices opting for a toasted one, may as well have them warm it up for the eat-in Surcharge! Unfortunately it was absolutely devoid of flavour and not worth the long wait. Service was appalling, how do they cope when they have more than three customers? The maestro (yes,it says so on his t-shirt) ignored me while handling what must have been a very involved order and just turned his back when he realised he missed me, serving the guy behind instead. I love the large windows in the front overlooking a glamorous view of an asphalt trail and a rainbow of ethnicities passing by as they peer from the other side observing my drooling smile as I take the first bite into my yummy avocado toast.
