Worst experience with an insurance broker ever. Cost U Less Merced should be Cost U More. Sales agent Nexa Vivanco misspelled my name, doesn't reply to emails. Second agent Derezz quoted $361 per month. Make sure their full coverage adds rental car and road service. I have 30/60/50 full coverage and pay $95.95 with current carrier. Clearly Cost U Less would like to know who is my carrier. I hold a Certificate of Insurance in Property Casualty Surety and Bond from Nevada School of Insurance. I spoke with Marco at corporate and Chris in Sales hung up. Cost U Less blocked my calls to useless automated line. Cost U Less might work for SR 22. read more

I just had a wonderful experience with Liliana, we had an emergency that needed to be dealt with right away, she was extremely understanding and very helpful. My father got a notice in the mail that he needed to get insurance right away or his license was going to be suspended (SR-22) we got the notice today and it was going to be suspended tomorrow. So you can imagine the frustration we were going through. Long story short she guided us and signed us up right away, and we will not be charged extra fees by the DMV or will have to go and deal with the annoying DMV in person and try to fix this hot mess. read more

I just had the best experience I've ever had at Cost-U-Less because of Kevin Cozzi. This young man was the most professional and intellectual employee I've seen working there. I've been with Cost-U-Less for years now and I had questions about my policy. I recently went in to add a vehicle to my policy but this person (won't say who) didn't explain to me about what some of the fees would be for. So I went back today feb 12 to speak to someone and Kevin happened to be there and answered every single question I had about my existing policy and he explained to me in great detail what everything meant and what I would be paying. He also stated that I was paying too much and found me a better and cheaper policy plan that fits my needs and better protects my family and our vehicles. Never once did he make me feel like I was asking silly questions , he was so polite and honest and I assumed he was manager because he has the capacity to be one based on how informative and knowledgeable he was. I will come back again to see Kevin only. I can say I trust him and you can too. With cost u less and her help I had a down payment of 190, which includes the first month, and I pay 72 a month for liability. First off let me say I believe all reviews that have been left thus far are most likely paid reviewers as they all say pretty much the same thing about the same chick. Decided to look around for some car insurance and decided to come here. I signed in and instantly was helped, that was the best part of my experience. After handing over all my info about my car thats over ten yrs old, I was given a quote of $38 a month with a $270 down payment LOL!!! I'm 30, no accidents, tickets or DUIs and I've had my license for about 13 years...when I let Erika know that I was low income and a high down payment as such would be way out of budget, her boss came back with $169 down split into 2 payments....after letting them know I'd have to shop around for other quotes, on came the insane pressure and somewhat backing you into an corner. I was also told that anyone else I went to would have the same rates as they did. They used scare tactics about ticket fines, cops and law suits if I didn't get there insurance and when I was about to leave I was told I had to stay so they could call the DMV and let them know I refused there insurance and was leaving..yeah BC they have DMV on speed dial like that w people so readily to assist them LOL! After Erika tells the guy on the other line my reason as to why ( I didnt have the funds she required for a down payment as it was extremely high)I didn't want there insurance her response to whatever he may have said was "yeah I know that's what I'm saying". Talk about unprofessional! And then handed me the phone bc the guy wanted to verify my reason as to why i couldn't get there insurance and that he would be giving me a call the following day. I've never felt so pressured or backed into a corner to buy something as I did with these agents. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere where we got an extremely low down and monthly payment, something Erika said wasn't possible.
