This is a terrific little salon that does not get enough attention or praise. I first went to this…read moresalong in the fall of 2011 after being disgusted with the horrible "hairdressers" at New Outlooks in Lunenburg. I went onto Yelp and found a great review about Cabel Salon and I made an appointment right away with Summer. I have been back 5 times and this is now my permanent salon. The salon is small, but beautifully decorated/renovated. It is very clean with beautiful stations. The owner does a wonderful job at making her salon look updated and modern in this small town. My hairdresser, Summer, I would recommend to every girl who wants their hair to look great but does not feel like shelling out $200+ in Boston every 6 weeks. She is young and pretty and has a great haircut herself. She takes the time to listen to what you want and clarify any questions she might have. She is friendly and you get the feeling that she is really going to take the time on your hair to do it right. When it is all done she'll ask you if there is anything you don't like or want fix and she'll go right in and fix it for you. You don't have to feel like you have to leave the salon without your hair the way you want it. The prices are amazing! I get a full-foil, trim, and eyebrows waxed for about $85! Plus, she doesn't simply blow dry your hair, she styles it beautifully with a straightening iron or curling iron and you leave there feeling great! This is a great salon for any young girl who wants someone to understand the style they want and how to achieve it. If you go to Cabel Salon ask for Summer or Kelly. Kelly is the owner and is also young, pretty and talented. Either stylist will do a wonderful job with your hair and stay within your budget!

I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. New Outlooks has always done well by me-…read moreI have been going there for 5 years or so and haven't been disappointed. I think like most other things, some of the burden lies with the customer. Are you being honest about what treatments or chemicals you may or have added to your hair before your visit? Are you clearly communicating what you want and carefully listening to the stylist? Do you have realistic expectations? Also, like all good salons, if you're not happy they will rectify the error or issue. Case in point- I had an updo that I wasn't thrilled with- said something, and they re-did it no problem. The ladies there are super nice, they ARE trained and they DO continue their training. Give New Outlooks a try, I think you'll be pleased!

I had the pleasure of working with carol for 6 years !! You often find in the hair industry self driven selfish people who only have their personal interests in mind but that is not the case for Carol or anyone who works there. The benefit of this is that the clients are given an environment that is solely focused on them and giving them the ultimate experience from every direction. So if your looking for a new salon be sure to check out new outlooks obviously their doing something right considering she's been in business since the early 80's and continues to grow year after year!! I truly miss working with everyone but I'm so thankful for all the amazing years I was able to be apart of this amazing family!!!
