I hadn't realized the salon was under new management until my husband went for a haircut .... looked great. Called later and made an appointment for myself. Erika gave me the best haircut I've had in years !!! I'll definitely return and would strongly recommend her to others ! De Ann read more

Surveilance cameras facing the client chairs and all areas in the salon. DISGUSTING. My hair was so hacked up that I am now trying to find a hair professional who can correct it. read more

Brandy did a great job cutting my hair as usual. I appreciate her listening and making good recommendations. Highly recommended

Visiting from out of town. Saw that Emily had good reviews. Got a same day appointment. Got right in on time. Emily was friendly and gave me a great haircut! Would definitely go back! read more

WHY, WHY, WHY do some "hairdressers" ignore the customer and just do their own thing ? Wife asks for a trim, not a re-style, not your artistic talent, just a trim. How hard can that be ? Apparently impossible. No one wants to hear your life story, just a haircut as requested. Non-smokers beware, the staff apparently goes out back for a puff, then reaking of cigarette smoke returns, smelly hands all over your head while hacking away, clothes wafting stale second hand smoke stench. Imagine being stuck in the chair, hair already chopped enough it's probably too late to back out, some dude prattling on about his family, stinking of smoke while forcing his view of how your hair should look on you, while you're wishing he would just shut up, wash up and do the job you asked him to do - and you're paying for this privilege. Cost cutters if you care, we're local enough and no one we know will ever return to your shop. There is a real old-school barber shop, now ran by a lady, so women's hair may be an option, or do yourself a huge favor, head down the valley, doesn't really matter which direction just run. Tragically negative numbers aren't an option. read more

Emily is amazing! I'm new to town and couldn't find anyone taking new clients from referrals. So I took a chance and she's been wonderful!

I'm not from Estes Park so I called ahead to make sure they weren't too busy. When I arrived the lone staff member was sitting in one of the work stations. Then before she waited on me she had to sweep up and then she had to cut out something. When she finally waited on me she had to enter a lot of information about me into the computer. She seemed to know her craft pretty well. Today I received an email from their corporate office with a coupon, but there aren't any shops anywhere near me and I'll probably never be in Estes Park again. I unsubscribed immediately. read more

The worse haircut I've ever had, I had to go some where else in Loveland to have it fixed, the tall lady with glasses seem annoyed and angry when I asked her to cut my hair. She had a real bad attitude. I just payed and left, needless to say I will never come back. Almost 20 dollars for a terrible haircut and another 20 dollars and gas money. Next time I'll just save all that and go to another place in loveland where they appreciate customers. read more

Not sure why all the bad reviews. Maybe folks are expecting too much from a local establishment. The girl was alone. Took my husband right away. Made nice small chat and she followed his instructions. Now if you want your hair styled or done a certain way make an appointment at a salon. This was fine for a simple haircut. read more

I'm new to the area and was desperate for at least a trim until I can find a great stylist, so I knew it was a risk but still just a trim. Layers are horribly done. She was more concerned about pushing product on me and anyone who walked into the door for her commission than about how I left looking. All I wanted was a nice day, in a new place, to get a wash, cut and relax. The place stunk of cigarette smoke, and while I tried to be kosher, it's worthy of a zero star review. read more

I wish I could give negative stars, I am a black male and They said that they would cut my hair but charged me extra and did a horrible job, I will never go here again, these people suck. read more

They absolutely butchered me. They finished me in the same time the person next to be got a quick buzz cut- in roughly 10 minutes. It was rushed as hell. I went in for a trim but my bangs ended up an upside down U shape. had lots of long scraggly strands they missed, I look akin to a friar monk now. I tried them twice before hoping they got their act together now but this was the last straw. DO NOT RECOMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I'd rather have long unmanageable hair than let them near me again. read more

As I saw my hair I didn't like it. She didn't do what I asked. We paid anyways but then went to a different salon so it could be fixed. DONT GO HERE read more

Absolutely horrible. I am a blonde(various shades) by nature and getting ready to go on vacation to Cozumel. I wanted to get blonde high lights and mahogany brown low lights and a new hair cut. After 3 hours in the chair, i had to pay for the service because they were closed and wanted to close out the drawer. I understand shy now...my hair is pink and burgundy with very little blond. I work for the city and CANNOT, have hair like this. I will be getting a refund not matter how high I have to go. I try to keep an open mind, and believe in second chances. This is not my first time there. It's like it only gets worse. There is more to the story but I don't have enough room to write it all. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Random selection of stylists. Its like the mystery haircut.you might find exactly what you're looking for with the employee get one day and then a month later a whole new list of employees and sometimes they don't know what they're doing. so you might get somebody that does know how to cut hair but you might not that's why it's a mystery. lived in this town for 17 years and that's the Estes Park Cost Cutters review. 3 stars because all I get are fades and about 7 times outta 10 they don't mess up on a fade. read more

I have this salon 1 star because 0 isn't an option. Not only was I dyed the incorrect color, it was striped and spotty. Rather than offer to remove the color I was offered a reapplication of the same incorrect color. This store also can't do refunds, they must be done from a corporate level. When you do not get what you want they argue and make you feel like you asked for the wrong thing. This rude treatment came from a "regional director". Completely dissatisfied and at this cost cutters the customer is not treated as if their opinion matters. read more

Service and speed have picked up significantly over the past 3 years. Nothing to complain about and big change from the review I wrote in 2014. Then, went in last week at 4 pm and told there was no chance of getting a haircut that day. So, went early today near opening time and told that there was a 2 1/2 hour list before I could get a cut. I complained as they were supposed to take walk ins and here is where the service was so much better than years ago. Matthew was obviously striving to keep up with a long list of customers yet he fit me in right then. Great cut and service. Cost Cutters has a great staff member in Matthew and significant contrast to surly stylist from 3 years ago. I would give CC a 5 except they really are short staffed and cannot keep up with demand. read more

Went in for simple haircuts for my boys and husband. Very friendly staff, very helpful when my son wasn't certain of the style he wanted. Fast, courteous, great experience! Would return if we lived here. read more

Went to get my hair cut by Matt yesterday afternoon. I showed him a picture of something that had caught my eye, but was an extreme away from the classic safe cuts I always get. Matt had his co-worker look at the style, and they explained how it would have to be done to get a look like the photo. His excitement was contagious, and I heard myself say "Go for it." He did a fantastic job, and gave careful instructions on how best to style it from home. After following his advice this morning, I love the cut and have found a new stylist for the duration. I also got three compliments within ten minutes between walking from my car to my work. I will totally go back, again and again. read more

Horrible, horrible place. I would have given zero stars if possible. My first time in (summer '14) the woman called me a "polite d*ck" because I wouldn't give her my email address, apparently in a polite fashion. I don't need more spam emails. I wouldn't have really minded so much, at first it actually seemed kinda funny. Then she butched my hair, and it took nearly a month to grow back enough to mask her handiwork. My second bad experience came just a few minutes ago. I walked in -against my better judgement- and there were two employees hanging out out back. No problem, but after taking my name, the one who spoke to me decided she needed to finish her cigarette before cutting my hair. The shop closed in less than an hour, but seems she just couldn't wait. In my opinions you're better off having a few beers and cutting your own hair in the mirror -similar results and save a few bucks. In unfortunately common Estes form, this place is clearly in business despite itself. read more

If only there was a 0 option! Made two appointments for 1:15, showed up at 1:00. A group of 5 people walked in with no appointment, and were put on the "list" in front of us. We then said that we were here for our 1:15 appointment, she said ok you are on the list behind these walk in's and this other person that was already here. So we said that then what is the reason for the appointment? She said that it really just gets you on the list....What list? if we were on the list then wouldn't we be in-front of the people that just walked in?!? Then we were informed that it would be longer because the other stylist was going to lunch so that he could get back for a person that had an appointment for "color", I guess that appointment matters?!?!?! So we left...no haircut for us today...and from Cost Cutters...sorry this was your last chance! Off to another salon where the appointment actually means something! read more
