4 QUARTERS FITNESS is located on the main floor of the TREO apartments on West 25th street…read more If you enjoy high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts then 4 Quarters Fitness is for you. The classes are inspired by football drills so the name of the studio, 4 Quarters, comes from the 4 Quarters during a football game. The last section of class is the 4th quarter which is normally when all the hard work is already done. Also, the name of the studio spells out the type of class that you'll take (QTRS - Quarters). Q for quickness, T for tenacity, R for resilience, and S for strength. Every workout is a full body workout but some workouts may focus on legs or arms for part of the class. This is the new fitness concept by Junker Fitness LLC. The Cleveland location of Junker Fitness will be closing by January 2025 but they will still have their Florida location. The same fitness instructors from Junker Fitness are now coaching here at 4 Quarters with one additional new instructor, Cameron. I visited 4 Quarters Fitness during their opening week on Monday, 17 June 2024 when they had their grand opening celebration. Jackson Junker, the owner, came down from Florida with his wife and kids to participate in opening week. It was a special treat to take two classes with Jackson who is a former football player. I took my first class on Tuesday, 18 June which was the first official day for classes. I was the only one in the Tuesday, 6am Quickness class with owner Jackson and his wife Stephanie so I felt special since I essentially got a personal training session. My next class was on Wednesday evening, 19 June, and there were alot more people in class. It was a strength class which wasn't as hard for me as the full-on cardio class but it was still a tough workout. Jackson Junker is a phenomenal fitness trainer and I was so lucky to be trained by him. The next class that I took that week was the resilience class with instructor Christa on Saturday, 22 June at 9am. There were even more people in class compared to Wednesday which makes it more fun. Christa is a great fitness coach who is very motivational. The next class that I took was the following week, a 6am strength class on Wednesday, 26 June with instructor Curtis. With me and another guy in class, it was a nice and small group. Curtis is another great fitness instructor who provides great examples of stretches to do if your body is feeling tight. He gave me on really good stretch to loosen up my side leg muscles or the IT band. You may also use some of the apartment gym's tools to stretch with such as their foam roller. CLASS TYPES (45 minutes per class) Q for quickness - cardio T for tenacity - mixture of cardio and strength R for resilience - mixture of cardio and strength S for strength - power (weights and body weight exercises) So far, I've attended 3/4 class types and I still need to take a tenacity class. I love the strength and resillence classes the most while cardio is fun too. I recommend 4 Quarters Fitness because you are trained by the best fitness professionals in Cleveland and will be provided support and guidance throughout class. Each class is currently $20 a class. I took advantage of their opening rate of $89/month for unlimited classes (founding member). Their regular membership rate is $149/month. I can't wait to take my next HIIT workout soon. TIP: please drink lots of water and electrolytes. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 48/150 total reviews in 2024 - 698 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 29 June 2024

FREE PARKING -- Parking downtown is a pain so I'm happy that BrownsFit gym validates parking tickets at the attached garage. You won't pay for parking which is awesome. MEMBERSHIP -- I have a corporate membership which means I have a slight discount based on where I work. Membership is month to month (no contract) so if you want to cancel, tell them 10 days before your next gym payment is due and they will cancel your membership. WHAT YOU GET -- They offer group fitness classes (which are included in the membership price), they have cardio equipment such as ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes. They have dumbbells and barbells for those who enjoy lifting weights. There are male and female changing rooms with showers and toilets. *My FAVOURITE machine to use so far has been the Jacobs Ladder. I had never know about this cardio equipment until joining BrownsFit. It is intense and you only need 3 mins to feel the BURN. The Saturday morning BOOTCAMP classes are intense but really good. FREE MASSAGES -- Members can use a massage chair (3 are available) for 10 minutes without any extra charge. I enjoy using the massage chair after a good workout. LAYOUT -- The main floor is huge and has all the cardio and weight equipments. There are TV's lined up on the wall by the windows. They also have 2 fitness exercise rooms at the back of the gym where all the group fitness classes are held. One of the rooms has the spin bikes in them laid out at the back of the wall but there is still space in the room to do your own workout. I'm happy the bikes don't take up the whole room. This room also has weights and other equipment in the corner. Bootcamp classes, yoga, etc, are held in this room. The other fitness group class room is smaller and has equipment in it such as weights, ropes, yoga mats, etc. I love using the group exercise class rooms for my workouts when if there are no fitness classes scheduled. Overall, I would recommend Browns Fit gym. The corporate membership is less than $50 a month and I believe regular membership is under $60/month. For everything you get, it is really a great bank for your buck. - 42/200 total reviews in 2020 - 418 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 12 December 2020

It has made a positive difference in my lifestyle, eat healthy, work out regularly. No work out is easy, everyday you leave with your butt being kicked and realizing how much more there is to achieve. The facility is excellent, coaches are well versed in CrossFit. The emphasis is on ensuring you do it right. The programming led by Jeff, Adam & Katie is adaptive and helps address your shortcomings. So if you want to get fit, improve your strength & conditioning - CrossFit Sixth City is the place to be at. I endorse CSC without any reservations. Addendum: 6/14 CSC has added weekly yoga classes. These are held every Thursday, led by a certified yoga instructor. I find them very complimentary to CrossFit especially with mobility. The yoga classes are open to all & cost $5/session.

One thing that truly sets CSC apart is the fact that no matter your fitness level, the coaches will pay attention to you, help you through your bad habits, and they legitimately want you to succeed. They don't spend all of their time with newbies nor do they spend all of their time with the more experienced athletes, instead, everyone gets personal attention and help where they need it most. Some people complain about the price of a crossfit membership, but with a basic understanding of the product, you'll see that it's well worth it. CSCs coaches take all the hard work out of staying fit--they plan the workouts for you, help you through your weaknesses and encourage you when you want to quit. Beyond that, they take a genuine interest in getting to know you. Bonus points--the gym is in a super convenient location if you work downtown.

I've been going to this small gym for quite some time now that I really thought I already reviewed…read moreit on Yelp but there is a time for everything so here is another review. Keeping this one short and sweet. LOCATION -- Junker Fitness gym is on the main floor of an apartment building so residents who live there have free access to use the gym equipment. It is located right off of the Cleveland Shoreway (freeway) across from Edgewater Park. The actual neighbourhood name is called Detroit-Shoreway, I think, but it is also close to the Gordon Square neighbourhood of Cleveland. CLASSES -- If you're not a resident of the apartment building and therefore don't have access to use the gym equipment, then like myself, you can pay to attend a structured class with a licensed personal trainer. They offer group exercise classes which include HITT and yoga classes ($15/person). The HITT or High Intensity Internal Training classes are my favourite with instructor Christa R. on Saturday mornings. I've also taken Curtis's class and he normally teaches on Wednesdays. I LOVE the HITT class on Saturdays because Christa is a great fitness trainer and the class is limited to a small size of about 10-12 people. The class is 45 mins long and involves using dumbbells (weights), battle ropes, sledge puller, rowing machine, jump ropes, boxing punch bag, etc. We also do alot of body weight exercises such as pushups and squats. Different exercises are done with each class every week. The HITT classes are offered all year-round on Wednesday evenings around 6:30pm and Saturday mornings at 8:15am. The yoga classes are offered when the weather gets warm because the classes are on their rooftop outside. I wish their HITT classes were offered more often throughout the week because that's how much I LOVE them. I highly recommend Junker Fitness if you want personal accountability on your fitness journey. The owner opened a new location in Florida over a year ago now. **** - 38/150 total reviews in 2022 - 516 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 2 April 2022

He tried to pressure me off the machine and kept asking me questions about how many times I rested between sets and how many sets I was doing. He had his food on top of the triceps machine, and the triceps machine had been open for a while. I also reported this to Omarion, an employee, but he never did anything about the situation. I then reported it to corporate. Additionally, I spoke on the phone with Lovely, an employee, who told me they would look at the cameras. Another employee I talked to on the phone said Lovely was not there and told me she was going to look at the camera with a supervisor and never did on 6/15/2026 and lied. Also, I talked to a woman on the phone today on 6/15/26 and she was rude from 2:30 to 2:50 on the phone. Also, Lovely never wrote anything down about the incident and I have to keep repeating myself over and over. I talked to the Monica manager. She took the other Planet Fitness member's side, saying he could use two machines at a time, acting like I was the aggressor. I am the victim. She told me I can't go there anymore because she asked me what I thought she should do about the situation, and I said, "You're the manager on the phone." Also, she never talked to him about the situation because of favoritism. I don't recommend this ghetto place to anyone, and this place is not safe because of incompetent people. You don't have to tell me twice; I will not be going back to this ghetto gym.
