Mine (and other's) journeys below should let you know can expect Vermillion to: take your money, delay your appointments at will, ignore your input, override your concerns and produce awful results. Then if you dare stand up for yourself and complain, expect more denial; being coaxed into pressured meetings under false pretenses; bullied and gaslit into believing your complaints aren't real or that conversations you had didn't take place; being tricked into taking humiliating and unsolicited photos of your teeth; and then finally being ignored again. Don't be fooled by whatever charming comment Vermillion are going to make.

He was told by Offord it was possible and he was to see Mathieson who made him a denture and told him it would be used until the bridge came and charged him £500 for the dunture and then told him they wouldn't be doing his bridge because if ford and him had decided without explanation, my friend called and got a rather stripy receptionist who I think might be offord's wife or partner but my mate complained to Offord who had told him he would do his upper bridge and he had changed his mind while extorting money that could have been saved. His own dentist could have made his denture for £100 max. My mate was so distressed and nothing he could do. I'm now doing this so everyone can see what kind of business these do operate. To date after writing a complaint there have been no explanation as to why Offord and Mathieson Edinburgh' answer to Burke and Hare done this and were less than honest especially Mathieson who made the denture moulds. It's a DISGRACEFUL DISGUSTING DISCRIMINATORY BUSINESS THESE TWO RUN and MATHIESON works in Glasgow too. I'm going to make it my mission to see these two held to account. I'm going to the dental regulator and the health secretary to highlight ROGUE OPERATORS who extort mo eh from people who are desperate for a solution to their dental problem. Why not be honest from the start, ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the reception staff very pleasant and friendly and accommodating. Being debilitatingly terrified of the dentist from a young age it was to my immediate relief that the dentist I saw, Lisa, and her assistant, Emma, were both very friendly and professional and quickly put me at ease. At each step of my treatment I was made aware of what was happening, and why, what I could expect as a result of the procedures and what the plan was for future treatments. At the end if my treatment they have undoubtably won my trust and earned my respect for their professionalism, competence and excellent attitude and care and attention to detail. Suffice to say I have no fear or apprehensions of any future visits to this dentist. At no point during any of my treatments did the dentist rush on with the work when I advised her the area was not completely numb. Instead, more anaesthetic was administered (I typically require a larger dose due to thicker jaw bones) and time was given for it to take effect before she carefully checked the area was numbed completely before continuing. Aside from the usual soreness that can follow extraction of molar teeth I felt no pain during the process and must remark at the speed and efficiency with which the painless treatment was carried out. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. Perhaps the previous author has had a negative experience with a dentist/receptionist at this practice that is no longer in their employ but the description of the people and experience s/he describes are not befitting of the warm, friendly people and comfortable, pain (and fear) frees experience I have had at this practice. +1 very satisfied customer

Down a normal alley (though alleys are always slightly creepy, and this one has a mechanic shop…read morehalf way down it) lies this little dentist office. It is horribly plain and lifeless when you walk in, with white walls and a stale feeling about it. There seem to be too many plain chairs lined up, and the long corridor dotted with closed doors looks more like an interrogation center than anything good. Ok, not that visiting the dentist is harmless, but I had a strange sense that I should leave, and that if something bad happened I would remember that I hadn't left when my instinct told me to. Clearly I was in a strange mood Thursday last week when I visited, because two smiling faces and the best dentist I've ever met worked on me. She told me things no one has told me (not american or scottish dentists) about grinding my teeth and a broken filling (ok this later could have happened recently). She showed me xrays and told me her recommendations. I'm heading back this week for the first part, which is some kind of guard to stop my teeth being worn down due to clenching (how was she to know?). Most importantly, I was not hurried in and out. She answered questions, she was knowledgeable and polite, and I felt like more than anyone before she cared what happened to my teeth. Thanks!

Haymarket dental care is run by husband and wife team Charlotte and David who are both lovely and they have a team of dentists at the practice. My Dentist Lorna Burns is just fantastic! She talkes me through any procedures and options which leaves me at ease. The place itself is spotlessly clean even down to putting plastic covers on the handle of the dentists light above you. This is an NHS dentist but you can opt for paying extra for example paying to have a white filling rather than an amalgalm. There are two parking spaces at the front of the dentists which are free. I reccommended this dentists to two of my work colleagues who hadn't been to the dentists in years as they both had a fear of the dentist and both were reassurlngly and gently eased into it and both have overcome their fear and are pleased with the results. They text you a reminder the day before your appointment which ensures I never miss an appointment. very handy!
