I got my teeth fixed here. I struggled with shame and embarrassment due to my horrible squint teeth…read morefor a long, LONG time until I decided that enough was enough and that I should get braces to end the shame once and for all. First impressions count for a lot and most of the time I am let down in that regard. The Vitality Clinic bucks the trend by having a young crew and a bright attitude. There's no hatchet-faced old hag sitting at reception or ancient dentists lecturing you for not brushing 100% perfect, something that has frequently put me off going for check-ups. The clinic accepts dental and optical patients but my experience was strictly with the dental. I was treated by Dr. Andrew Welsh, who sort of looks like Seth McFarlane's younger Glaswegian brother. Getting through all the phases and steps of fitting and tightening braces was a long, heavy grind but Andrew always kept it personal by never treating me like a faceless number. The staff here all call you by your first name instead of the robotic "Sir" or "Mr. Watson", which I hate. The process of wearing braces was absolutely not without pain and torture though the grind was mercifully broken by friendly staff. It really makes a difference. If you are looking to sign up with a new dentist (or optician, I guess) then I'd most certainly recommend the Vitality Clinic.

The dentist I saw was great and after an initial consultation, I booked a double or triple appointment an hour. The dentist did all the work at one time to a high standard. No pain at all - I fell asleep in the chair for a few minutes during the procedure ! Never had this done before always take several appointments. All the work done little after pain no problems does private work at a reasonable rate as well as NHS. Highly recommended best dentist I have been to in 20 years !!!!

I can honestly say now that feeling that way was completely unnecessary as David and his team were absolutely fabulous. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The surgery is very modern, the treatments offered are excellent and the care given second to none. Now I've found a lovely dentist who makes me feel reassured and calm I can honestly say I will never miss an appointment again. I laugh and smile with confidence again and it has made a bigger difference than I would ever have thought possible. A huge thanks to you all! Kindest regards, Eileen

I've been a patient at Morningside Dental Clinic for a number of years, and having had a wide range…read moreof treatments, I would like to say that the standards of professionalism, the treatment and care of their patients, and the quality of their work, is exceptional. I have experience of using other dentists, having travelled widely in the UK and Europe, and Morningside Dental Clinic are head and shoulders above them all. Some of my treatments involved specialised techniques, and they were all handled with the utmost of care, and with one over-riding philosophy - the patient comes first. They are, in my opinion, very highly recommended, and I have done so to several of my friends and colleagues, who are now patients of Morningside Dental Clinic. Mark Leggatt

There are two dentists on the premises, and I've had some work done by both. They are absolute professionals- respectful, soft-spoken, and comforting. This means that sometimes you can have a delay waiting for an appointment but if you have a genuine emergency you will be seen urgently. The practice is located in the north of Edinburgh in the Boswall part of the city. Several bus routes pass by and there is unrestricted parking in the vicinity. When you visit for a check-up you will also get a scale and polish. The dentist is very reassuring and methodical and I have had a filling here and found it a bearable experience! The dentist is also very good with children and my daughter has no fear of coming to the dentist every 6 months for her check-up. The practice no longer sends out reminders for check-ups but you can make an appointment for 6 months ahead when you have finished your check-up which I always do to ensure I don't forget and let too much time pass by. The building itself is in need of upgrading but it is not that bad as it is a recent enough build. Accessible for wheelchair users. The Medical Center is occupied by 2 GP practices. mine is Dr Tolley's one. The GPs in this practice tend to stay a long time (2+ years or so). I feel really taken care of and listened to. The doctors I have consulted really take time to hear me out and find out what is wrong. They also have medical assistants and practice nurses, whom are efficient and very friendly (bar 1 or 2 occasions). As I have a chronic condition I require repeat prescriptions. Which they let me order by email. Opening times are until 6pm which makes it good for when you finish work and still need to visit them - saves taking time of work! Good job Dr Tolley!

Recently visited Spire as part of a surgery round Edinburgh itson/groupon deal…read more I would recommend getting the knee arthroscopy with the additional side of physiotherapy as a dessert course. I found the servers helpful and the back of house team clearly very good with the butchery skills. As much as I would like to have private health care I was here only due the NHS buying up excess capacity. Lovely room with a table for one looking out of well manicured gardens. Rabbits abounded and I saw some birds mating. For my lunch course I had soup with a panini. Being Scottish when selecting my menu choices I ticked all the boxes in the hope they would provide me with more than one meal. Unfortunately I was informed that one could only have either a panini OR the poached salmon course. Sadly I went with the panini but after consumption I would not recommend it. The taste was chemical and washed out but I am not sure if there might have been a correlation with just waking up from a medically induced coma. Overall 4 stars. TOP TIP - take your own slippers with you and a robe. Although I was provided with a flattering gown - (on the house I may add!) the robe and slippers they gave me would have been more suited to a diminutive woman. I think I flashed quite a lot of leg and heel.
