(Take highway 20 from I 5 towards Clearlake). They had such a great selection of fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price! Plus different flavors of pistachios.They also sell honey and even pies! Love that they also have olive oil and sauces! They have cold drinks in the frig and ice cream too. It is well organized and VERY clean inside ( air conditioning as well). It is cutely decorated and I bought some really fresh veggies! The 2 young ladies at the cash register who very friendly and helpful! I pre pealed the mandarins before the party so they were easy to much on and it was a success. We also got some kiwis. I belive it was a bag of 6 for $0.99. A great deal for kiwis. Last time I got them and saved them in the fridge and they lasted a week. These are a bit soft so hopefully they will last just as long. We also got a head of Lettuce for under $2 which is a good deal. It's nice and fresh, we got iceberg this time and it was a big head. Last time we got green leaf and the time before that we got the red leaf. All very fresh. Parking was easy. When we arrived maybe when we got there we saw 5 cars in the parking lot so we got a space right up front. When we left it over doubled, it was still easy to get out. Traffic flows well. Bathrooms were well stocked and clean. It's always a must stop on our journey. Pedrick Produce is the place to stop for produce and dry goods.

I saw the word "Plums" on the sign and felt that I'd like to treat myself, so at the next corner, I turned around. I have significant dietary considerations, and plums fit right into my plan, for a few reasons. So I stopped and bought a bag of plums... $6. I tried to tip a buck (I only had $7 cash on me so "here... for the tip jar"). Nope! "Thank you, but put it in your tank". The two young ladies that helped me were delightful, and told me about their property and how it's been in the family since it was built in 1911. I love history! Such a beautiful property. But the plums!!! Oh man... so amazing, sweet and perfectly ripe. I was so lucky to just happen-by this gem on the last day of their plum-sales season. I can't wait to see what their next harvest is. I was inspired and created this for them (for you!) and expect to "happen-by" again fairly soon. THANK YOU for my most delicious and most healthy snack today!

I remember buying fruits from there when the CUESA farmers market was at the back of the Hyatt Regency Hotel as it was named back then. You get the drift. Various family members and friends man their booth on Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Ferry Farmers Market in San Francisco with the owners present Saturdays. My preference used to be shopping on Tuesdays to avoid the crowds and hustle bustle tourists. Due to the dwindling selection Tuesdays and a lesser crowd due to the pandemic, Saturdays are not as bad as normal, not to say I like it this way. On the first Saturday in March, I noticed that a few customers buying some flowers and, with Chinese New Year just wrapping up and the Cherry blossom season about to start, I bought a bunch for my family. They turned out to be peach blossoms (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wdzZ2zYvI1lC-nB5zGEyOQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); my mom and her caregiver immediately recognized them and I, being the naiive one, felt like I just learned how to change a lightbulb. They are a nice addition to our living room with some of the Chinese New Year's plants withering away and my Costco tulip plant already blooming and long gone. With it being March, a tweener time fruits wise, they no longer have a stand on Tuesdays and likely will not be back until April when stone fruits begin to be harvested. Apricots, peaches, nectarines are the probably next to hit the market. And with the warmer weather, the increasing number of vaccinated people, and a general feeling of somewhat normalcy, things are beginning to look a little brighter now. Before you know it, it'll be cherry season. Can't wait!
