The physical therapy is good. The atmosphere is friendly. The activities are interesting.

My grandma had a fall on January 23rd and had surgery at Corona Regional Hospital. We had the option to bring her home when she got discharged or send her to a rehab clinic for about 2 weeks. So we decided to get a tour at this place to see if it fit what we were looking for. Initially, looking at the bad reviews we didn't want to bring her here but after the tour we decided to give it a chance. She was here for less than a week before we removed her from this facility. Before I get into it, let it be known that we had family visiting her on rotation during all visiting hours, sometimes even staying past visiting hours. To start off she was placed with a roommate who was not mentally stable and should not have been left unsupervised. Her roommate would stand behind my grandma's bed throughout the night, would sit down and stare at her, and would fall and drop things and my grandma is defenseless and couldn't do anything about it. She was in that room for about 4 days before we requested a room change so my grandma could feel more comfortable. To add on to that, it had been two weeks since my grandma had gotten bathed due to getting surgery. Once we arrived at the facility, they told us that they would bathe her within the first 2 days, however she ended up receiving a bath 5 days after she got there. Her surgeon had also told us that she was going to be receiving physical therapy everyday as this is a rehab clinic. She only received physical therapy 2 times in total during her 7 day stay. To continue, she was provided with a button that she could press if she needed help with anything such as medicine, pain, diaper changes or just sitting up on the bed. 90% of the time when we called for help whether it was because she was in severe pain or just to help us sit her up to eat, they would take about 30-40 minutes to respond. My grandma initially had a pressure ulcer that developed in the hospital however it was under control with ointments, and during her stay at this facility, it was only taken care of 1 time, causing it to turn dark purple. (see pictures attached) Then, she was scheduled by her surgeon to see him at 10:15 in the morning at his clinic, and when we got there we were notified that this facility had called and cancelled her appointment. This was very disappointing because we took time off work and were really looking forward to speaking to the surgeon about her progress. Last but not least, when we decided to remove her from this facility due to lack of professionalism and empathy, one of the CNAs made a comment that really stuck with us, she said "she'd be better taken care of at home". Keep in mind throughout this entire stay, my grandma was never left alone, and despite our presence, mistreatment still occurred. So if you're thinking about housing your loved one here, and you're not planning on visiting very often, please be aware of these issues before considering taking them here. read more

It's a big facility with a lot of staff. They have pretty good help from student nursing during the week. They could improve the moral of their staff, I assume with better pay, positive encouragement, and reminder that they are taking care of people with illnesses. The first day my mother arrived, two of the employees were verbally fighting, to the point of cursing and shouting down the hallway. My mother has dementia, they really tried to accommodate her as much as possible, but after two months, she was sent to the hospital and they would not take her back. Instead of addressing me, they told the hospital they simply couldn't "meet the patient's needs". I ended up going to pick up my mother's belongings and asked to speak with registration to understand what "needs" they could not meet and possibly get direction to a qualified facility that could meet my mother's needs. read more

This place was horrible. My aunt stayed here. They only gave her water with her meals. There are no phones in the rooms. When you call the front desk to check on your loved one they rarely answer. The food was gross. I'll post a pic of her dry bland sandwich. Fruit with granola that has sat so long that it was a bowl of mush. They do have activities that are supposed to be accessible to everyone. My aunt wasn't told about them. When we let her know they didn't give her a ride there. I had specifically asked if non ambulatory patients would be able to attend. I was assured they would take her in a wheelchair. They did not. My aunt could not walk. She needed help with toileting. They left her several times sitting in her own filth for hours. Then when they finally came they made rude remarks. "Oh wow, you made quite a mess!" How embarrassing for my normally very independent aunt. I complained to the person in charge. Nothing changed. At all. Do not go here. The care is terrible. read more

My son has been there since Sept 2024. I can't wait to get him into another nursing home. It's dirty, furniture is so old it's disgusting. I was told at movein his room was going to be remodeled very soon. Housekeeping... I've called for housekeeping every time I go to visit 2-3 x wk to clean the floors. Sticky with dirt (large puddles of urine under bed, but he now has catheter), food etc. So sticky my shoes stick to floor. An aide spilled his instant coffee granules on nightstand & floor, I had to ask them to come clean up. She got most of it but then the bit that was up against floorboard & in front of nightstand, housekeeping told me its floor rock in the tile. LOL, I kid you not! Nobody wipes his tray or nightstand down, I do every time I go in. They don't empty catheter bag every 1-2 hr as ordered by supervisor. I've seen it so full he can't urinate. After getting mad they are getting better finally. Clothes have disappeared (even though sign is up family does laundry). I found his toothbrush on floor. You have to look at menu to figure out the main dish is. By the time staff comes back to feed him, food is cold. Only a small glass of water with meals. I posted a picture of a very Dirty spoon on his tray to feed him lunch. Just so gross. Mind you he can't move his limbs to do anything with ALS. Even the patio area for patients to go outside is dirty including patio furniture. What there is of it. Sure most staff in skilled nursing are very nice but management could do such a better job. Beware your family member will be very unhappy. I wish I could tell a much better story. I'd be lying. 1 star because staff is polite & nice when I see them. But not all are nice to patients. One even told my son "you do it" when he asked aid to hand him remote for tv. I had just come in the room & could hear conversation. I politely asked her, Do you know what he has & why he's here? He can't reach out for anything. No she didn't. I can even describe how disappointed in the staff I was at that time. Sure there is lots of staff but maybe they need more so they're not worried about time spent in rooms to help patients. read more

Both my parents have stayed here. The staff is very caring, the house keepers and nurses always friendly and check in with my mom. It helps keep her motivated. It is also a comfort that she has people talking to her, since we can't come visit every day. My only complain that my mom has is that when they take them to do things in the big room the young lady doesn't make her coffee and she has to do it herself. Must be a new policy because before they used to make it for her before. It bothers my mom because she doesn't like hearing about drama because it upsets her but this girl is always talking with another male patient badly about the other staff. We had brought up the concern to the nurses, and they said it would be address but that young girl is still there. Thank you to everyone for being sweet and making my mom feel special. read more

Jennifer the lead administrator, is extremely and treats visitors with disrespect!!!! i watched her talk down to a DoorDash delivery driver and giggled with her co-worker about the driver !!! please let her know to respect people who do essential workers , who delivered food to disabled residents. read more

I recently toured the facility with the community liaison Iris. She answered all my questions and is bilingual which is a plus. The rooms are very well kept and spacious. As I walked the halls of the center there was no odor, it also had a lot of natural lighting. read more

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! Communication between all aspects of staff was extremely poor! My mom was left in her bed for 23 hours a day for two weeks. She wasn't put in a wheelchair, helped to the bathroom, and physical therapy was very very minimal. She remained in a diaper for two weeks! The excuse was she needed max assistance, not enough staff. The family was there every single day, and unless we spoke up, nothing changed. Two days prior to her discharge, they finally improved her physical therapy care. The Assistant Director of Rehab was minimally responsive to our concerns! read more

My grandmother was admitted to this facility due to a fall she had and I've been so pleased with her care and the customer service from all the staff. Iris from admissions was so helpful in making the transition smooth. The therapy she has been receiving has sped up the process and help her begin walking again. I also appreciate the nurses because they are very caring, organized, and thoughtful. (Especially Edith) The facility is big and always kept clean. I would recommend this place to people that need rehab for their family members. read more

My Grandma ended up in the hospital for about a week and was unable to eat because of stomach pain. After the issue was identified and surgically corrected she had lost significant weight and came to this facility to stay until she gained the strength to come home. The staff was caring and attentive. Grandma enjoyed the meals eating more and more as she healed. Staff was on top of her schedule and lovingly firm in encouraging her through physical therapy sessions. The facility was clean, quiet, and provides well maintained grounds for visiting. I see some low reviews and that rings strange to me. I think people are probably going through very difficult times when they write them. I don't know what more you could want. Care seemed ok at first but then we realized how regressed our family member became under this facilities care. My sister was semi mobile when coming here but left with 3rd degree bedsores even on her toes and completely bedridden. Kicked her out when her insurance ran out. They also have mental patients and my sister's roommate deficated and pee'd all over the room. When she left this facility I took her straight to the ER and she had pneumonia too. Also, her suitcase was stolen with all of her things including all the new PJs and the manager there never followed up even after leaving many messages. My sister also had a window that did not lock to the outside. Please don't send your family here. read more

What an exceptional facility. I based this on the fact that every single person I have met and dealt with are so patient and family oriented. They really care and it shows in how they treat everyone that comes through their doors. Both Iris D and Iris F in admission starts the process with empathy, kindness and respect for you and your family member. I have been in the healthcare industry for over 40 years and can honestly say they are truly exceptional. I have also dealt with the business office and the nursing staff. My bad that I can't single any one person out, which would be tough when you have so many wonderful people at this facility. They have my highest rating, which I rarely give to any facility or business. It is really reassuring to know that your loved on is such good hands. read more

My fiancé was here after surgery and Sepsis. Physical therapy rehab was very good. He was very weak on admission and they had him doing physical therapy every day and occupational therapy every day. They were very good and attentive. read more

I was placed in this facility after a week in the hospital. My initial impression was "oh my gosh I am in a ghetto hospital get me out of here!" After speaking with the nurse in charge that night I was willing to give the place a chance. the room I was placed in looked like it was straight out of the eighties and was not given a good clean down in months or years. I needed antibiotic by IV treatment and PT treatment so I felt scared. Night times were the worst patients all down the halls and cries for help for hours. A lot of times bedridden patients had diaper rash due to being left in soiled diapers for long periods. I had a wheelchair so I was able to get up and about on one leg without help. The food here was about a one star rating. whatever was on the menu for the day looked good but once you were served something on your tray complete disappointment. Cold food, under cooked fish that smelled, always soggy vegetables and every time a mystery drink. Onetime I was given scrambled eggs with big black flaky bits in it. Many patients would always order food by delivery to get a decent meal. After about a week or so I could tell which nurses knew what they were doing and which ones didn't really care much. They over work the good nurses and hire a lot of unskilled lazy CNA's. One time I was given the wrong meds but I always check what I am taking and caught the error. The only thing I even liked about this place was the activity room and one of the physical therapist, Beware of thieves at this place too. my room mate had things taken and also a few other patients experienced theft. A note to veterans or military. This place flies an American flag that is very faded and has two large holes through it. read more

There are no phones in the rooms. Guess they think everyone has a cell phone which is not the case with my sister. No one answers the phone and every call goes to voicemail. I had one nurse tell me not to call because I was interrupting her calls! Do not go here if at all possible I have not been able to go there due to my own lack of mobility so I don't know how the facility actually is. My sister has said that the food isn't bad so that's A relief. I wouldn't have let her go there but this is the only place that had a room available for her. If I could give this place a zero I would. If you have no choice but to send a loved one here (my mom was for rehab and Kaiser sent her here) this place is pathetic. You must have someone visit around the clock to stay on top of your loved ones needs. I can tell you the only true person that cared about my mom was Shannon and she is overworked. Mom's stay wasn't long ..but long enough. I had to go round and round with head nurse (who claimed my mom had only a smudge of blood in her poop) my husband actually helped change her and the bed was full of blood. So you need to be a voice for your loved one. I was finally able to get her to Kaiser hospital and she was put in critical care for a week. Please try for a different alternative. read more

My grandmother was recently admitted here for some rehab after a surgery. The treatment the staff gave her was amazing. She was well taken care of in every way. She enjoyed all the meals, all the exercise activities, and all the attention she received, almost too much, she didn't want to go home. This place is terrible and does not care for the patients They ignore your calls or emails, they move the patients to different felicity with the vicious attempt to not bring the patients back and not telling you the truth. The current facility also told us that they do this all the time. I'm looking to take legal action if possible avoid the stress and heartache. read more

After the care of Corona Regional Hospital being so bad, we were scared of allowing our Mother to go to a Rehab center. Our surgery Team & Doctor we're great, but care was horrible. (exception was nurse Melanie?) After surgery, we knew she needed extra care & chose Corona Post Acute. We found it to be clean with EXCELLENT CARE for our almost 90 yr old Mom. She was always clean, hair brushed daily and checked on regularly. She was given her meds and not drugged out to a daze as she was in hospital. They had her in physical therapy to get stronger and up and walking. They took her to 'Activities' and kept her busy. We saw a HUGE DIFFERENCE from day 1 of leaving Corona Regional. I cried on my way home thinking she would die at the Rehab Center- Instead, she's coming home tomorrow to Enjoy Easter with her family... The CNAs are as helpful as they can be considering their work load. Beyond that there is nothing good to say. My sister was a patient here. She is blind and was pretty much bed bound during her stay with the exception of physical therapy. Staff would not announce their presence when entering the room. They'd drop off meal trays without telling her it was there, or not helping to explain what the meal was or help in cutting or preparing it for her. Her blindness was ignored. Call lights go unanswered. When someone finally shows up the response is I'm busy but will be right back. Never to return. She often was expected to lay in soiled diapers for hours. Very limited PT provided. They are not in the mindset of preparing you to get healthy enough to go home. 30 minutes and clock starts when they leave their office to go to room to get patient if they can't walk there. NO doctor was ever seen there. A doctor never visited patients to talk about health and recovery. Nurse never followed through with medication requests. Food was mostly inedible. Cold and bland. Luckily my sister was of right mind to advocate for herself and escalate her concerns to an Ombudsman, which forced the facilities director to personally talk with her about her concerns. Even with that most concerns never improved. Make sure you check what's being billed to your insurance as they file claims for services not rendered! Bottom line, be involved with your loved ones care. Check in frequently and speak up in their behalf! read more

My mother was a patient here for approximately 6 months and my over all experience has been great. Staff,along with Managment and nursing go out of their way to make my mom and family members feel confortable and they were very accommodating in every way. Physical therapy staff was also very accommodating in regards to getting a 79 year old lady to participate which who's never exercised before. read more

My mother was placed at this facility and her time there was horrible, she never got the PT she need to help with walking and while she was there they failed to monitor her condition needless to say she ended up back at the hospital and having to have additional surgery to amputate her toes. Her CNAs were great when they were there and answered her call light. Management there never answers phone calls I spent over two weeks calling and leaving messages and til this day have not received a call back. I was sent to Corona Post Acute after a failed hip replacement surgery followed by another open reduction surgical attempt to try to repair the original bungled mess. I was there for about 3 weeks. My in-house "Social worker" told me I couldn't leave because I lived alone. The food was atrocious at best, cold and slimy. In three weeks I lost 20 lbs. I never had a bath of any kind and I saw a physical therapist 3 times. The place was seriously understaffed and few of the aids cared that they were dealing with humans. One girl threw my broken leg around like a sack of potatos. then left laughing. She commented to her companion, "Boy can she scream. She almost scared me!" The attitude seemed to be to agree with the patients' request until they could get out of sight, then forget it. I was unable to roll over on either side without help due to my broken leg and the osteoarthritis in my shoulders prevented me from reaching more than 18". I often went without water because of my lack of mobility. I was put in diapers, told to just go in them, then not cleaned for 4 or more hours. Nights were hell, with people crying and begging for help hour after hour. Clearly I was not the only patient whose call light was ignored. When my insurance ran out, a friend with power of attorney signed me out and took me home. I asked him who was going to care for me. His response was, "I'm going to stay with you. I can't leave you here and watch them kill you." read more

This place is an absolute disaster, nurses and physicians here care less about your loved ones health or status. Getting paid for their horrific services is a criminal negligence. This facility neglected my mother and she ended up in ER because she was forgotten during their watch. Came in for rehab on broken hip and left to the er unconscious. If she doesn't recover their will be legal consequences to answer for. This place will be held responsible very soon, family member suffered loss read more

What a great place! We had to put my old mom there for a few days to recover from surgery. She was a wreck when she got there but in a matter of days, she was back to her feisty self. She didn't even mind staying there, I actually think she enjoyed it!! She loved being treated like a queen. She loved the food, the nurses, CNAs and the whole staff.
