I started a review Too Soon!!! In the last week I have had 4…read moreresidents who have not been conducive to my needs of recuperating. In The Last Week I HAVE ONLY SLEPT ONE NIGHT OF SLEEP! They proceeded to RUIN MY THANKSGIVING BY COMING INTO OUR Room AT 12:49 AM To Ask My Room B Bed Of How Tall She Was For Allowing The Pharmacy To Be Able To Provide Medications To Bed B When She Awoke In The Morning. It is NOW 1:57 AM, And I'm Not Sleeping Because Bed C Has Been Talking In Her Pilipino Language. Now She has Fallen Asleep. It's Now 2:00 Am and I'm writing my added review of Extended Care Hospital Who Is A Affiliate With Riverside Community Hospital. I'm Still Not Going To Get Back My Sleep All Because The Nurse Needed To Know How Tall She Was in 19B!!! At 5 Am the CNA Will Be Changing Our Briefs. For Me, I Have Been Wearing These Briefs For Over A Year Now Because I Am Not Able To Walk. The Administrator Trevor has been running this facility for one year and He's Only 25 Years of Age. He Left For Vacation On Wednesday. He had a Company Picnic On Tuesday On The Outside Patio To Express His Gratitude For A Year Well Done!! At 2:12 AM Bed C Is Awake Again Speaking Her Pilipino Language. So Needless To Say I Will Have Received One Hour Of Sleep Because That CNA Had To Change All Of Us Before He or She Gets Off Work At 7 AM. As Well As Continuing To Have Ruined My Thanksgiving Day!! So Needless To Say This Facility Has Not Allowed Me To Recuperate In The Past Two Weeks Here In Bed 19 A Because The Social Worker Doesn't Know My Needs Because She Never Graced My Presence At All To Room 19A. After Being Here For Two Days They Wheeled Me Into The Conference Room To Introduce Me To The Director Of Each Department. They Were Informing Me How They Can Help Me Recuperate While At This Facility. At 2:30 AM The Woman Has Woken Up Speaking Her Pilipino Language. At 2:33 AM She Is Still Awake. But Now She Has Proceeded To Sleep Again At 2:35 AM. Well It's 4:59 Am And I Might Have Gotten A Short Cat Nap Because I Remember A Little Dream Of What I Was Seeing In Bed 19 A. Bed C Is Serenading Us With Her Filipino Language. Bed B Has Slept Through The Night. It's Now 5:10 am and Bed B Is Giving Blood For Her Doctor. Now The CNA Will Be Changing Our Briefs. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! Thankfully The Cherry Pie Was Good Last Night And Now I Had Very Good Pumpkin Pie. But I Still Want Out Of This Facility!

Earlier this week I received a visit from a young man named Trevor who said he was the hospital…read moreadministrator. He had read my first yelp complaint and assured me everything here is not as horrible as I think it is but from now on if I have an issue to call the main number to the facility and ask to be transferred to his voicemail and leave a message. Since then I have left him messages on 3 different occasions for 3 different issues for pretty much zero resolutions. On this past Tuesday I was transported on a gurney 1 hour each way to my dialysis in hemet. The trip was brutally painful. When i got back I told many nurses, office staff and even made several calls telling whoever would listen (or who I THOUGHT was listening) that I refused to make that trip again. My left collarbone and arm are broken along with my left hip. I have a pressure sore on my tailbone. Laying on a gurney in a bumpy transport van for 2 hours total was more than my broken 70 year old body could handle!!!! I only go to dialysis Tuesdays and Saturdays so I figured in the 4 days in between one of the many people that work here could have relayed the message to this "hospital" and the transport team I would not be going today to dialysis. At 3am transport came anyway. I apologized to them for making a wasted trip and now my anxiety is once again through the roof. Long story short I did what Trevor the administrator told me to do. I called the facility and asked to be transferred to his voicemail to relay all this information as HE REQUESTED! They refused to transfer me and the nurse came back to my room to tell me they cant transfer to his voicemail because his office is locked. Now I'm no brain surgeon but, HUH???? I've had more anxiety this short week here then I've had my whole life. I am full of anguish and depair, and on top of everything physical pain. Since I know Trevor reads yelp before checking voicemail I believed this follow up would be a quicker way to get my point across.

Don't let looks fool you. This SNF appears nice, however, it's old, renamed and understaffed!!!!!…read more There is ONE Registered Nurse for 120 patients. The Kaiser ER caseworker, Stephanie says that's normal with a ratio of 18 patients per patient. Kaiser has 20 beds reserved for their patients, they force their patients (once discharged from the hospital or ER) into this horrible facility. The admitting clerk expects patients to sign many blank forms, without the verbiage/lines filled in. That should be against the law! If you have dementia they expect you to sign, that might be elder abuse. Physical therapy has TWO stationary bicycles in the gym area with a lot of patients using them. The later physical therapy is given, the more crowded the hallways are. Patients have to wait 30 minutes or more until one bike becomes available. Wheelchairs are broken and missing the detachable foot rests. The footrests are hidden in closets so no other patient can use them. Meals are posted to be served at 7am, 12pm and 5pm, they are served 1.5 hours later. They consist of lots of frozen chicken patties, frozen veggies, pudding, carbs. Items on the meal tray list are missing, they may be counting them as food served. Depending on the bed location a sponge bath may be given on Tuesday and Friday, there are similar days for patients who can shower. Folding plastic chairs in the activity room or in patient's rooms disappear shortly after 6pm, some of the folding plastic chairs are cracked. Getting help from a CNA, LVN, RN is really tough. They admit they don't look for patients call lights, so the patient may not get help. Parking is a big problem. Employees triple park. Exiting Woodcrest is very dangerous, it's difficult to see fast moving traffic on Magnolia Ave, worst after dark because of all the parked cars on the curb. Care: If you don't have anyone to advocate for you, you're screwed. Woodcrest patients roam the hallways at 1030pm, entering unknown patients rooms. Make sure you have an Advance Directive on file because you probably won't survive.

She came in after a fall, hip surgery, and a serious MRSA infection, and the staff went above and beyond in every area of her recovery. They cared for her incontinence with dignity, closely managed her diabetes, and provided her with the exact medications she needed to clear up her MRSA. The physical therapy team was incredible. When my grandma first arrived, she couldn't walk at all. With their consistent support, encouragement, and expert care, they got her back on her feet--literally. Today, she is walking again, something we weren't sure would even be possible. A very special thank you goes to Lexi in Social Services. She has been the best case manager I have ever encountered. Lexi went above and beyond in every way--always on top of everything my grandma needed, attentive to her wants, and proactive about her care. She made sure nothing slipped through the cracks and gave us so much peace of mind during such a difficult time. If you are looking for a facility that combines excellent medical care with genuine compassion, Arlington's Gardens Care Center is absolutely the right choice. And if you have the chance to work with Lexi, consider yourself very fortunate--she is truly exceptional!
