    Mom in 2014.

    * The communication is awful. I give zero stars to the 2 case managers. * Most of the CNA's are kind and helpful. * Susan and her rehab team is the best thing about this place. * For the most part mom liked the food. * Do not let them do your laundry. You will never see your items again. If you're young and recovering from shoulder or knee surgery and able to fend for yourself (i.e., you rarely need to press the call light), I recommend this place. If you're old with dementia and needing assistance with using the toilet, eating, dressing .. I don't recommend this place. I can't unsee what I saw. One of many experiences ... One Saturday I went to visit mom. Her door was shut. Strange. I opened it and found her flat on her back in bed with a nasal oxygen tube, naked from the waist down, laying in her own waste and staring at the ceiling. For how long? And why didn't you notify us about the oxygen need? All of a sudden a charge nurse showed up, the CNA, and shortly after that, the PA. It still makes my blood boil that I found mom in that state. I could go on, but it's too gut wrenching to relive those moments. For the staff that were exceptionally kind and helpful to mom, thank you. We so appreciate you. Mom died January 13th. She was 83.

So cute and festive! They decorate according to the season. Love the vibe here

The staff here are friendly and helpful. If it gets busy, they let me know and will come back as soon as they can to help. The facility is clean and they decorated the facility for Fall. It feels cozy and comfy walking in. The nursing staff are sweet and professional.

My son with Bonnie who assisted us with the process.

The circumstances that my son came in when he was admitted into Valencia were severe. My son needed extensive therapy and assistance due to his severe injuries he couldn't care for himself. Valencia staff team were amazing, caring and very pacient, not only with my son but with me as well. We are so thankful and we certainly trust they will do the same for your love ones too.

They proceeded to RUIN MY THANKSGIVING BY COMING INTO OUR Room AT 12:49 AM To Ask My Room B Bed Of How Tall She Was For Allowing The Pharmacy To Be Able To Provide Medications To Bed B When She Awoke In The Morning. It is NOW 1:57 AM, And I'm Not Sleeping Because Bed C Has Been Talking In Her Pilipino Language. Now She has Fallen Asleep. It's Now 2:00 Am and I'm writing my added review of Extended Care Hospital Who Is A Affiliate With Riverside Community Hospital. I'm Still Not Going To Get Back My Sleep All Because The Nurse Needed To Know How Tall She Was in 19B!!! At 5 Am the CNA Will Be Changing Our Briefs. For Me, I Have Been Wearing These Briefs For Over A Year Now Because I Am Not Able To Walk. The Administrator Trevor has been running this facility for one year and He's Only 25 Years of Age. He Left For Vacation On Wednesday. He had a Company Picnic On Tuesday On The Outside Patio To Express His Gratitude For A Year Well Done!! At 2:12 AM Bed C Is Awake Again Speaking Her Pilipino Language. So Needless To Say I Will Have Received One Hour Of Sleep Because That CNA Had To Change All Of Us Before He or She Gets Off Work At 7 AM. As Well As Continuing To Have Ruined My Thanksgiving Day!! So Needless To Say This Facility Has Not Allowed Me To Recuperate In The Past Two Weeks Here In Bed 19 A Because The Social Worker Doesn't Know My Needs Because She Never Graced My Presence At All To Room 19A. After Being Here For Two Days They Wheeled Me Into The Conference Room To Introduce Me To The Director Of Each Department. They Were Informing Me How They Can Help Me Recuperate While At This Facility. At 2:30 AM The Woman Has Woken Up Speaking Her Pilipino Language. At 2:33 AM She Is Still Awake. But Now She Has Proceeded To Sleep Again At 2:35 AM. Well It's 4:59 Am And I Might Have Gotten A Short Cat Nap Because I Remember A Little Dream Of What I Was Seeing In Bed 19 A. Bed C Is Serenading Us With Her Filipino Language. Bed B Has Slept Through The Night. It's Now 5:10 am and Bed B Is Giving Blood For Her Doctor. Now The CNA Will Be Changing Our Briefs. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! Thankfully The Cherry Pie Was Good Last Night And Now I Had Very Good Pumpkin Pie. But I Still Want Out Of This Facility!

He had read my first yelp complaint and assured me everything here is not as horrible as I think it is but from now on if I have an issue to call the main number to the facility and ask to be transferred to his voicemail and leave a message. Since then I have left him messages on 3 different occasions for 3 different issues for pretty much zero resolutions. On this past Tuesday I was transported on a gurney 1 hour each way to my dialysis in hemet. The trip was brutally painful. When i got back I told many nurses, office staff and even made several calls telling whoever would listen (or who I THOUGHT was listening) that I refused to make that trip again. My left collarbone and arm are broken along with my left hip. I have a pressure sore on my tailbone. Laying on a gurney in a bumpy transport van for 2 hours total was more than my broken 70 year old body could handle!!!! I only go to dialysis Tuesdays and Saturdays so I figured in the 4 days in between one of the many people that work here could have relayed the message to this "hospital" and the transport team I would not be going today to dialysis. At 3am transport came anyway. I apologized to them for making a wasted trip and now my anxiety is once again through the roof. Long story short I did what Trevor the administrator told me to do. I called the facility and asked to be transferred to his voicemail to relay all this information as HE REQUESTED! They refused to transfer me and the nurse came back to my room to tell me they cant transfer to his voicemail because his office is locked. Now I'm no brain surgeon but, HUH???? I've had more anxiety this short week here then I've had my whole life. I am full of anguish and depair, and on top of everything physical pain. Since I know Trevor reads yelp before checking voicemail I believed this follow up would be a quicker way to get my point across.

She came in after a fall, hip surgery, and a serious MRSA infection, and the staff went above and beyond in every area of her recovery. They cared for her incontinence with dignity, closely managed her diabetes, and provided her with the exact medications she needed to clear up her MRSA. The physical therapy team was incredible. When my grandma first arrived, she couldn't walk at all. With their consistent support, encouragement, and expert care, they got her back on her feet--literally. Today, she is walking again, something we weren't sure would even be possible. A very special thank you goes to Lexi in Social Services. She has been the best case manager I have ever encountered. Lexi went above and beyond in every way--always on top of everything my grandma needed, attentive to her wants, and proactive about her care. She made sure nothing slipped through the cracks and gave us so much peace of mind during such a difficult time. If you are looking for a facility that combines excellent medical care with genuine compassion, Arlington's Gardens Care Center is absolutely the right choice. And if you have the chance to work with Lexi, consider yourself very fortunate--she is truly exceptional!

She also said my mom was incapable of making decisions herself and couldn't sign the paperwork herself. I'm next of kin. That means it's my decision. Cat offered to "sign my name for me" which I refused, because I disagreed with the code status. My mom was discharged from the hospital & placed in Jurupa Hills for long-term care with hospice services planned, it was in the hospital discharge paperwork. So long story short, my mother is unable to make decisions/sign the paperwork, I went through the trauma of deciding my mother needed comfort care & hospice services, only for Cat to give her a full code status meaning she would get CPR, a feeding tube, or a ventilator if needed. That is not comfort care. That is not hospice. This meant my mother was in Jurupa Hills for 35 days just rotting and suffering. She wouldn't eat, shower, drink water, or take her pills by mouth anymore. She NEEDED hospice care. She NEEDED pain management. She NEEDED comfort care during these 35 days she stayed at Jurupa Hills. My mom ended up back at the hospital, I put her on hospice (which I'm legally allowed to do as next of kin, when my mother is unable to make decisions/sign for herself) and what do you know. Within 24 hours of being on hospice, mom passed away. It was time. Mom was ready. And she should have gotten comfort care sooner. I have nothing but hate in my heart for the poor training and lack of knowledge that Cat/Kat has. She has no business working there with sick, helpless people. Other staff at Jurupa Hills were kind to my mother during her time there. I respect and appreciate everyone that took care of her, paid attention to her, and treated her with dignity and respect. There is a young gentleman with long brown hair that works there, I wish I got his name. He was wonderful - THANK YOU. There was another Spanish woman working there that was wonderful - she was kind and attentive, THANK YOU. The facility itself was relatively clean and did not have a smell to it. I have frustrations with no communication from the doctors that work there. I have frustrations that no one read my mother's hospital discharge paperwork to see the part that said hospice services were expected. I would not recommend Jurupa Hills to anyone seeking hospice or comfort care for their loved one. Everywhere probably sucks and I'm sure there's negative reviews regardless of where you send your loved one. My only advice is they will probably get better care in a hospital.

A few RNs were sweet and genuinely tried to help, and the front office and cleaning ladies went above and beyond. The medication aides often would not answer the phone, and I had to repeatedly call and sometimes speak directly to the RN supervisor to get any information about my brother.
