Went here the following year in 2024 and unfortunately, the food quality seems to have gone down a lot. First, their prices increased dramatically to about $60 per person which just isn't worth it, no matter how many crab legs you get. They changed the ordering system so now the crab legs are to-order from your waiter in buckets which isn't bad because it makes sure people get enough. The food was more cold this year and less tasty overall. Just seemed not worth it for the price. Our family did not return this summer 2025 due to the bad experience in 2024. this place is very bad. In my 20+yrs with my wife we have never had a huge complaint anywhere we have Been in OBX. This place wow! had a reservation for 7:00 got seated at 8 they close at 9. buffet never had anything fresh out out while there. got 1.5 buckets of crab legs before they ran out. Ran out of the beverages myself wife and kids where drinking and then bright the bill for $250. trust me save your $ go someplace else and have an enjoyable meal. Not here. We should have known when we waked in and the door was so sprung had to kick it to open and half the sign was missing off the building! just wow. Such a disappointment. The only thing that was good was the service. Our waitress was really nice and attentive and brought out crab legs frequently. But the crab legs themselves were pretty sad. Unlike Captain George's, where there are many types of crab in the buffet, this place only has one type and it was quite scrawny. The rest of the buffet was very small and was simultaneously both the worst food and highest price of any buffet I've ever been to. On top of all that, the place screwed up not only our reservation but the reservation of everyone else on the day we visited. I called at lunchtime and made a reservation for that evening and then rallied our large group to get there on time. When we arrived the restaurant said, "Oh we have you listed for tomorrow not today." There was a group of ten people outside who said the same thing happened to them and they were waiting for an hour. It's a much longer drive to Captain George's but that place was awesome the previous year and I'll go there next time for sure. read more

Fantastic new All You Can Eat buffet. My family normally goes to Jimmy's every year but this place is a fantastic upgrade. Less cramped seating, better food, takes reservations, and a really nice and attentive waiting staff. There were around 40 dishes available which is on the smaller size for a buffet, but they had all the dishes we wanted and they were all really well prepared and seasoned. Snow crab legs were great, crab cakes were amazing, mussels were great and there were so many other great dishes. It is $42 per person, which is better than Jimmy's pricing. Definitely our family's new favorite seafood buffet for trips to the outerbanks! read more

Service was good but otherwise unimpressive. For fifty bucks I got what was basically a truck stop buffet with all you can eat overcooked crab legs. Most of the buffet was non seafood items. Crab cakes and deviled crab were all bread crumbs. Clam strips and oysters were heavily breaded and nothing else stood out with the exception of soft serve ice cream. Next time I'll make the forty minute drive to Jimmie's or Captain Georges. read more

Great quality buffet on a smaller scale with all the favorites in abundance. I actually appreciated the smaller buffet quality. No large cheese lines for crab legs which are brought to you by servers as you run low. The quality of food was good and the drinks were even better. We came on a Thursday. The hours were posted to open at 4. We got there at 3:40 (beach Buffett's always draw a crowd) at 4 everyone (a large group had formed) anxiously awaited. 4:05 comes and goes. We look in the windows and see maybe two people in the kitchen area. I see food out (so now it's not super fresh) we wait til 4:25 (no coverage from sun but man I wanted crab legs) and walk away. As soon as we hit the car the door opens. So now we are the last going in and this is what I see: thick smoke hanging in the air (from the steam/ it's a small restaurant) a line that goes directly to the left for you to hop in the buffet line then find a chair. I look and see that by the time we are done in line there won't be anywhere to sit. There was NO ONE to greet or guide when we got inside. I saw one man walking around frantically checking on those seated. I was there for crab legs mostly (as I'm sure most people were) and saw they were in just one pan- I looked at my husband and we left. Not worth it at all. I understand places are short staffed etc right now but this is peak season and the only seafood buffet in the area I had hopes they would have gotten it together. read more

Definitely not worth the money. Certain foods were very overcooked and dry. Some foods were bland and tasteless. Of course the crab legs were good and the staff/our server......terrific!!!! Definitely disappointing. Next time we will go back to Captain George's. read more

Our family had a great time at Corolla Seafood Buffet. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we were served fairly quickly, since this restaurant allows reservations, which we made the day before. The buffet itself was well stocked, and my favorite was the fried fish, believe it or not! I think everyone else in my party had a different favorite, the crab legs! Very small place, maybe 14-16 tables. Books up very quick, so reserve a day or more in advance. Crab legs are not buffet style, but they will bring out more buckets to you if you ask. Crab legs were sometimes partially frozen, so the crab was not fresh. They had one filet of salmon laid on top of a succotash, and would throw another one on top 10 minutes after the last was gone. The last time I got a piece it was partly raw! The food that goes quick is fresher, but the food that doesn't (like fries) is very stale! You would be better off going to the other restaurants and buying crab there in addition to your entrée. read more

Very good seafood. The waiters were especially friendly and helpful. Shrimp, clams, oysters, scallops, ribs, crab legs, mussels. A nice surprise was the beef - very tasty. Reasonable price, a heck of a lot closer than Captain George's, and better food than the one in Kitty Hawk. The location next to Food Lion isn't fancy but it's easy to find. Everything on this buffet is amazing! We have been to other seafood buffets at a lot of different beaches, and this has been the best by far! The quality of the food is better than Captain George's and it was less expensive. Crab legs were great! Service was great! This place was awesome, I'm glad I found it and convinced my family to go, our service left me impressed enough to make this yelp page so more people may be able to find them. If you are staying in the outer banks, either end, and love seafood I would definitely say take the time to visit! The price definitely makes it worth it if your looking to get as much seafood as you want! And during the time of covid they definitely have a very professional setup going on with the hand sanitizing and gloves they provide, it's nice to go to a buffet at this time and have it still be operating as a buffet. read more
