    Delish !

So this is one of Rick steins pub and defiantly worth a visit even if it's just for a drink, it's got a beer garden to the front and a very scenic beer garden to the back. Inside is a very modern take on a traditional pub it has a beautiful extension on the back. I had mussels and the rest of my family had the fish and chips it was really nice for the first time I had homemade mayonnaise! (Oh my god why have I not had it before) it's nothing like Helmans! Unfortunately we did encounter a few issues during our meal, we waited over an hour for meal and it seemed those ordering after us got there's before us, during our wait we were not offered another drink, it's a long time to wait but the food made up for it, again during our meal we were not asked if everything was OK, isn't that just the thing to do as a part of providing a good service ? There were enough staff on to assist. It's those little things that matter and then we were given our bill...90 POUNDS over what it should have been, when we raised this issue they did sort it and we're very apologetic but again it took them 30 minutes to resolve this, they didn't even know what we had ordered we had to tell them, fortunate for them we are honest people, this just dampened our lovely meal. We understand mishaps happen but we did experience several. It would not put me off from going again I would like to think we would have a better experience next time, I would recommend booking as it is busy Monday-Sunday, also it's dog friendly! (Yey) so you can enjoy a nice meal with your doggies too :)

    Local brew 3.8. There's also a 4.2 and a 4.5

There's not much going on in the village of Rock, Cornwall. It is a place many tourists go through…read moreon their way to Polzeath Beach, via the ferry from the much busier and much more attractive Padstow. There's not even much of the rock quarry visible that gave the place its name. So IF you're heading to Rock, why not stop at this rather nice restaurant which offers brilliant views of the bay. The menu is split into three time schedules, breakfast, lunch (12 to 6 p.m.) and dinner (after 6). The range is a bit higher key than the usual pub grub, and the chicken breast (topped with bacon and cheese) I opted for was rather nice indeed. The beer range is limited, especially on the hand-pumps - similar to the Rock Road Bar & Grill which inhabits the same building - and they may indeed be one item. Korev and some international lagers are available though. The view is indeed splendid and the staff were really nice when I visited. The outside seating can be covered, but it was not on this rather warm and sunny June day. Since there are very few alternatives here, I'd give The Rock Inn thumbs up. There is truly no real reason to go to Rock in the first place, but this one might be it.

A must visit for all the family!
